The signs say last load is at 8 and that they close at 9 but that is not accurate. They close before 8 every time I've gone.

It's a great place but needs to be cleaned more often and they keep the rest room locked at all times. Customers have no access to it and it's always a bit messy in general.

The owner is a very rude old man. He hovers menacingly over paying customers who are doing their best to follow the 99 million signs and rules of his overpriced laundromat. He makes insulting comments don’t go here.

The absolute WORST laundromat I have ever been to. Washing machines are $3.50 a machine, just had 2 out of 3 of my laundry loads come out with soap all still over them, since I had no other option than to rewash them I got more quarters and one of the machines jammed taking all of my quarters, then had to move them out and get MORE quarters just to finish out my laundry , wasted at least $12 here and now as i’m writing this review waiting on the rest of the laundry to wash the machine starts smoking and smelling like fire so im SURE when i take my clothes out some of my clothes will be burned as well. Thank you Central Suds!!Edit- No attendant to help around whatsoever

My husband and I recently had an unfortunate experience at this laundromat. At 5pm we put our stuff in the wash, after 30 mins we put our stuff in the dryer to only to be informed immediately after by the store owner that the place was closing because only us and one other customer were the only ones in the facility. It was 5:30pm and wasn’t suppose to close until 9pm. My husband said if he refunds him the money he’ll take the laundry out, the man told him “that’s not how it works” and that he’s the owner so if he wants to tell them to leave, he can. The lack of proper communication about the change in operating hours was frustrating, rude and not handled properly whatsoever.What made the situation worse was the unhelpful responses from the store owner. Despite the inconvenience caused by their abrupt closure, he refused to refund our money and It's disappointing when businesses prioritize their convenience over customer satisfaction. Our mannerisms were kind to only receive a very negative attitude.I hope the management takes steps to improve communication and customer service in the future. This experience left us with a negative impression, and we would caution others to be aware of potential operational changes when considering this laundromat.PS.He turns off the coin machine and wants to see your laundry to make sure you’re using it at his store before giving you change for the machines. He also turned off the power the moment that our dryer had 1min left.

Went to wash comforters..my first time there. It was clean, quiet and reasonably priced. The only bad thing was it didn’t have Air Conditioning…or at least it wasn’t on

Pulled up at 7:40 PM. Big sign in the front window saying that they close at 9 PM and that's what the internet says as well. Got out of the car to find it dark, and a grumpy old man standing inside in the dark. He looks at me and says, "We're closed." What the? It doesn't close for another hour and twenty minutes. As soon as I walk away from the door, he walks out, locks up and leaves. No sign on the door saying that they're closing early or anything like that. Apparently they don't want your business.

About 8 years ago I lived in this area and used to use this laundromat and to be honest. It wasn't the greatest. Fast forward to now I moved back to the area and decided to give it a try again. Wow what an amazing difference! Amazingly clean and all of the machines work extraordinarily well including the dryers which were very bad before. Also the person that works here? I'm not sure if hes the owner or just someone. That works here was very cheerful and had a great demeanor. Also very funny! This is a place I definitely will be doing all of my Laundry. Also the prices are Very reasonable

the owner very rude! coming in the morning he's mopping and I walk across the floor, which means I have to walk on his with floor. He says make up your mind which way you're going for sweat where am I supposed to walk? have the TV on and turns it off

Update - 3/6/23Central Suds Laundromat in Oak Lawn is THE BEST LAUNDROMAT IN HANDS DOWN!!! This is unequivocally the cleanest laundromat we've ever been in. And we've been to several laundromats in the area. John the owner, is delightful, kind and helpful. I DISAGREE WITH THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS! John has a heart of gold. He always welcomes his guests. He has a right to get upset with people who disrespect his business. If you are not washing your clothes, don't take quarters out the machine. It's unfair to the customers that patronize the laundromat. Show some respect! John is helpful, especially when people are putting too much soap in the machines. Read the instructions. This laundromat is our favorite place to wash our clothes. The washing machines are clean, updated and affordable. The bathroom is pristine and spotless. A clean bathroom will tell you a lot about any business. I highly recommend Central Suds Laundromat to everyone!
