We had an 23 year old beautiful hunter green leather couch that we needed to replace.We loved that couch. We looked at so many couches at so many different places, and then we went to Smithe"s. Lauren was so pleasant and understanding about our attachment to our old couch. We wanted another green leather couch but the greens were" so not the same". We went back and forth with samples, but couldn't get past the "green" in our heads. She pointed out that the color we finally focused on had a little green undertone and went beautifully with the items in our family room. As I write this, I am relaxing on my beautiful, new couch that is perfect. I know we will have it forever. I 'm so glad that Smithe's has taken my old couch to the Chicago Furniture Depository and someone new can love it.

Had the best experience ever with Lauren Klein at Walter E. Smithe in Oak Brook! The furniture she selected for our two guest bedrooms were perfect! Highly recommend her for selecting modern furniture that suits your needs and budget!

I want to compliment and applause the Walter E Smithe scheduling department. The staff is super efficient in managing my furniture delivery, tracking and communicating with me. They listen to you, factoring in my schedule and what works best. I love the fact you can track the delivery truck...The sale was already made , but Kathy and Jenni kept the service coming with their stellar follow-thru. I recommend this team to everyone, truly adds to the value/.

We wanted to update our home and went to Walter E Smithe in Oak Brook. We were greeted warmly by designer Lauren Klein. She listened to what we wanted and helped us find the perfect furniture. She came to our home and measured and came up with many great ideas. She showed us great samples and computer designs of what our rooms would look like. She came to our home during the delivery of the furniture and made sure everything was as it should be. She was great to work with and I would definitely recommend Lauren to anyone looking to update their home.

Bought a so called leather sofa in 2018. It smelled then and still smells. When I clean it with leather cleaner the coloring from the sofa comes off.Even though they supposedly repaired the end of the sofa (under neath) I still can’t run a duster under there because it sags. I wish I knew what they repaired.They have decent sales people but service/repairs leaves a lot to be desired.After having the sofa ?for 6 years I’m donating it to Jubilee.Final thought…I didn’t know coloring would come off leather so I googled it. It’s cheap leather that’s probably sprayed with a color. Will never purchase again from WES.

Just wanted to let customers know I op-ed in for the snow promotion if it snows on Super Bowl it’s free in . Because I did that I was not able to exchange my furniture for something more suitable for my parents. Very disappointed that I wasn’t told this when i purchased and that they did not try a help my situation. So be careful before you take any promotions you might ruin any chances of exchanging your purchase .

We bought furniture from this location 18 years ago. We decided that we wanted to look at sofas. Joe was pleasant and informative and we can bring our dog inside the shop. All the furniture that I saw was beautiful including the furniture inside the elevator. This is a very clean location. I am sure we will be back soon once we decide on a sofa.

Lauren was very patient with us during the selection of every piece of furniture, down to every detail of the fabric, color, etc. She is so knowledgable with all the details of furniture selection & design. My husband and I were on the hunt for bedroom furniture for one of our guest rooms and visited stores like West Elm, Pottery Barn, Room & Board, Crate & Barrell and to no avail (& less than par customer service at any of those places) we didn’t find any bedroom furniture. We decided to try Walter E. Smithe in Oakbrook. We were greeted immediately by Jenni, who was a breath of fresh air, and explained the layout of the store, options we had for the beds we liked, etc. Our entire customer experience was incredible and owe this all to Jenni. She knows her stuff, professional and a good sense of humor and have no doubt that we will be returning to this location for any of our future furniture needs!
