ONLY HALF of the ROOMS have the view like on the pictures. The rest are facing a driveway, with like 1 foot wide “balcony”, which looks like shack entrance than anything else.
The yard facing rooms are nice, as advertised.
My point? If you can’t come early enough to take yard-facing room, you are going to be stuck with shack room.

Very clean hotel. Staff is wonderful. See how many McDonald's golden arches you spot through the halls. The only complaint I have is there aren't any microwaves in the room. Otherwise this hotel has it all. A pool, a sauna and a steam room and a 24/7 gym all free of charge to you. There's also nice hiking/biking trails around the property. They even have bikes you can ride weather permitting!

Friendly service and beautiful place. But it doesn't have laundry facility is imperfect and inconvenient for 1 day staying.
Noteworthy details: Without laundry facility, if ask washing service you have to pick it up by 5pm on next day.

Was there for a convention/meetings but did not stay at the hotel. Good meeting facilities and the catered meals were pretty good.
Nearby activities: Great location in Oak Brook not too far from the mall for shopping and eating places.
Walkability: It is a lovely campus with walking trails.

As a Live wedding painter, I loved this venue, lights shining through the tall windows to the ballroom is amazing. The view from ballroom is gorgeous, the warmth of lights from the top add magic.

Lodge is the correct term. Quiet and convenient. They should update the decor from McDonald's themed to Ace Hardware themed.

Only for decent price...
This is a good option for a staty if You visit Chicago or some suburbs companies .But as i wrote - only for decent (not full) price. Very nice area around the hotel to enjoy the outdors. But inside its clearly visible that hotel "best" times already behind. "Age" of the building and rooms are visible. Even if room is quite ok - bathroom is already a previous era and its is in dire need for refresh. Would i stay again ? Sure - but only for a bargain (not full) price ...

The hotel and rooms are getting old. The interior looks old and no longer fresh. The gym, which is very large with a lot of selection, also has some rusty equipment.
Our room was spacious but very dark.
Ok for 1 night but we were happy not to stay here longer.
The hotel is located in the middle of the countryside, no matter where you want to go, the journey takes a while.
Rooms: Old-fashioned, spacious, dark
Walkability: You can walk but you can't reach anything on foot except the forest.

All 20 stars belong to Carlton, Amazing service is hard to find and he made my travels end on a smooth note after a 10 hour drive. The staff is very kind and friendly people, those are the people who deserve the high rating. Thanks Carlton! Will Visit again!

TLDR, the location is incredible, rooms are ok but a little small, but the restaurant is run poorly.
We had a pleasant enough stay in the hotel itself but our experience with the restaurant was exceptionally poor. Me and my family went to have breakfast at the riverfront restaurant (Water's Edge) in this hotel. In their menu, they advertise a avocado toast on Polenta bread. My wife is gluten-intolerant and dairy free (for health reasons) so this is all she could eat. We ordered our food and when we received it, the food item was clearly on sourdough bread, not polenta bread. We went to ask the cashier/waitress who tried passing the clearly sourdough loaf as polenta bread. This is serious. My wife could've gotten sick from this.
We argued and eventually, clearly annoyed, the waitress/cashier said she would refund our meal. We had not touched any of the other food and left. Before leaving, I asked the waitress/cashier for a receipt and she told me not to worry, that the check would simply not be processed. Still I insisted and I got a receipt that said void.
Well thank god I did insist. I looked on my credit card statement just now and saw I had been charged. I think a hotel as nice as this should be on top of the restaurant especially with regard to food sensitivities. My experience with this restaurant marred an otherwise nice hotel stay and I really think it should be addressed.
