“Went in to look at window shades and blinds. Set up an appointment for a designer to come out. Ken took our information and said we would hear within 2 days, possibly today or tomorrow. We received a phone call within a half hour and the designer will be here in 4 days!! Wow talk about competent and efficient. Thank you J C Licht.”
“Several years ago, we painted our kitchen cabinets with Annie Sloan products we bought from Di Lucca Design. Michelle was helpful then in explaining the process in order to achieve the best results. After a while, and as can happen with any painted finish, we needed to touch up the "trash can" door which takes the most abuse. Since Annie Sloan is now manufactured overseas, there is apparently a slight color variation from the Coco color we originally used. Obviously, we called Michelle to ask what to do. Not only was she able to track down a sample size of the original formula, but she shipped it out to us without an invoice. Wow! If you're looking for Annie Sloan products or help/advise for your own projects, Michelle's your gal. Thanks Michelle taking such good care of us. We really appreciate it!”

“Aside from the fact that they have pretty much everything you need if you're making a small run to the hardware store and they've got some really premium lumber, but beside that they have one of the best cashiers I have ever encountered. He has joke after joke and is always smiles. He will literally brighten your day. He is one of the biggest reasons why I choose to come in to this ace versus going to any other hardware store. He really deserves a raise or some type of promotion or bonus.”
“This is a great little hardware store at a very convenient location. While it's certainly no big box giant, it still has a surprisingly broad selection of items, and quite often saves us from having to drive to one of the larger hardware stores. The staff here are also friendly and helpful.”

“When it was Paulsons I never had a problem with orders being fulfilled with timely communication and punctuality. I ordered touch up paint a week ago. Was supposed to get a call by Tuesday. Nothing. Come in today, they never even placed it. Guy was full of excuses "I don't work on weekdays, I wrote it on the board" like thats all people can do for customers. Good customer service is proactive customer service and this ain't it.I live in forest park but I now get to drive to Lagrange to get stuff that I'd walk down the street for a year ago.Edit: the guy said that Lagrange had what I wanted. I get to Lagrange and they don't, forest park assistant knew it because he called later, never bothered to notify. Now forest park manager is doing damage control but this has killed a giant chunk of a day where I needed to get lots of things done. Good going!Final edit: the manager personally fulfilled the order at another location and dropped it off at our house. I'm revising this from 1 star to 4 since while it's best to get the order right in the first place, our order was small and he did everything he could to make up for it anyway. That does mean a lot.”

“We are renovating our new home and needed ideas on paint colors and some samples. We stopped by Sherwin Williams per our contractors recommendation. This store is fantastic. Mike & Marten have been SO helpful in guiding us through supplies that we need, ideas for colors, and just overall nice guys with lots of paint knowledge (Mike actually paints on the side so he has a great understanding). We've come a couple times to pick up paint and supplies and they are always so kind. I highly recommend this location!”

The associate was willing and able to help me even though she was probably ready to walk out the door. (I did offer to come back the next day but she said it was no problem). I very much appreciated not having to make an additional trip!”
“I wish I knew that they can help you find paint to match your wall color earlier! I brought in a piece of paint taken off my wall, they have a system that will identify a matching color. It will be a customized color to match. I was shocked at how close it was! They even dried it with a blow dryer to make sure it was a good match. Staff was very friendly. A quart of paint was $20, well worth not needing to repaint my whole wall to cover a few stains.”

“This store always seems to have the products I need, with knowledgeable assistants and tools to help match paint colors and all the necessary tools you might need too. Unlike the other big (and small) hardware stores, there is little or no waiting either, so I am usually in and out and starting the work much quicker. Maybe a little more expensive than materials at your local ***mart, and without the long opening hours, but the overall purchase experience is worth it for me.”
“I had a small fender bender a few weeks ago. I told the insurance company I wanted to have the repairs done at A to Z. No. problem. I stopped by a few days later, got an thorough estimate and scheduled an appointment a few days later. The work was finished as promised, on time, and perfectly done. Couldn't even tell where the damage was. In addition, the interior of my car was really dirty from the winter slush and accumulated dust, dirt paper wrappers etc. I was dreading cleaning it. To my surprise, the interior was totally cleaned and detailed. I was happy, not only for the prompt and good service but also the surprise detailing. I will recommend A to Z to anyone who needs their vehicle repaired. Great Job!”
