We had a family membership here. The overall fitness facilities were nice. The pool area over the summer was less than impressive. Definitely not worth the 600 dollars a month we were paying. However, the breaking point for me was when I had a massage booked. My dad passed away unexpectedly two days before my massage appointment. I forgot to cancel until the day of because it was such a difficult time and a massage was the last thing on my mind. They told me that there were no excuses and I was charged for the full price of the massage. No excuses is insane to me. Clearly there management team has never lost a parent or loved one.

Great gym! Pretty clean, staff is friendly too. Basketball courts are great other members are very friendly and welcoming. Area is phenomenal as well. Great spot to have a gym. I’m very sad I had to cancel my membership but I hope to be back soon!

Another "not my first time here, but first Google Review" for this place! Top Life Time location in the Chicagoland area in my books. Diamond-level and spacious, with an outdoor rooftop deck, lounge, and pool. Also has an indoor cafe like many other Life Time locations but also a bar and additional lounge area. Check out the various photos I added to this location's Google Maps page, and added to this review here is a recent visit from eve of Christmas Eve (2023).

This place is more than just a health club! It is an experience! From a spa, to a bar, to knowledgeable trainers, to so much more! I’m so happy I returned to LT after taking a break for 6 years! Have met some awesome people and am in better shape than ever! Worth the $. Check your insurance as some will cover more than half.

Been a member at this club for a while, main reason I joined was because of ability to play pickleball. However the play has been ruined by inadequate decisions, the clubs main focus is on ruining this sport rather than growing it. Very disappointed. If you plan on joining this club to play pickleball please think twice and take your business elsewhere.

Great gym but why is there not a cold plunge in the women’s bathroom but only in the men’s? It’s not like the membership for women is any cheaper. They should fix this

I’ve been a Lifetime member for years and finally I’m frustrated to say this - in hopes Lifetime will address the issue. The negative thing I have to say is about their bathrooms. Way too few for way too many people. Two urinals and two toilets for the entire locker room and when they’re available, they’re usually gross. Considering this one of their newest locations, they should have planned this better. Not sure why such a huge, prestige gym would have such poor bathroom facilities. Please add better restrooms. Other minor complaint - prices in the food area seem to increase and are outrageous for what you get. I’ll never spend a dollar on food/ drinks/ smoothies. Although I’m a member of Lifetime’s highest level membership and can afford it, as we all probably can, it’s the principle behind it. If the prices were reasonable, I’d get myself a smoothie every single day. I will say that the bathroom issues and food prices are the same across all locations - whether it’s at the Bloomingdale, Vernon Hills, Oakbrook, wherever, which is disappointing.Other than that - nice gym. I love the pool and hot tubs. A+ in these two areas. To Lifetime - I highly doubt you’ll make the food/ drink/ smoothie prices more reasonable, even though membership fees continue to go up, but please fix your bathroom situations.

I don't know how to explain bandages floating in the hot tub, fast food left in the lockers, no toilet paper in the stalls and to top it off someone swiped my Yeti out of the men's sauna. This is not at all what I would expect from an upscale fitness center in Oak Brook. I only just joined I am not sure I'm gonna stay on with experiences like this.

I have been member for years and upgrading to Oak Brook LTF was such a delight. Such a great space to workout on your own or join various classes. Our entire family enjoys the place. I love the lounge where I meet occasionally with my clients or work there if I need a change of scenario. I met so many of my current clients right there, so I guess I can say it is a great networking spot as well.

Best health club ever! Arora program is engaging and fun. New friends make this even a better experience for all. Clean, great instructors and I especially like being greeted by name as I arrive.Sign up with your Renew Active healthcare option if you have it with Medicare!Carrie ( Caroline L.- one of my favorite instructors )Carrie very thoughtfully plans ahead for each class and presents us with a great exercise experience! She is always very generous with her time and is anxious to adjust classes to suit her clientele/students. She is aware of our age and motivates us as aging adults! I am very happy to get to know her and she is very cordial to each and every person. She knows our names and also leads me to be active by her example. She offers helpful tips about diet, lifestyle and safety for enhancing our everyday lives! Her focus is giving us great workouts as our well-being is first and foremost. She should be considered a great asset of Lifetime Oakbrook! I am happy to be able to express my satisfaction with her presence. I loyally take at least 4 classes with her every week. She is continually sharing her knowledge and expertise with us!Arora group free coffee or teas is on Tues. and Thurs. every week at 10 am. New classes besides Aqua and 360 are soon to appear on the schedule. Check your insurance plan and consider UHC with Renew active. Your monthly fee is included in supplement and advantage plans!

Oakbrook life time pool is dirty, floating pieces of hear, no body cleans it, no towels fresh towels in dressing room, and worst part the best bartender is no longer with this lifetime. And you guys charging that kind of money and nobody does anything, I’m disappointed….

I am very disappointed with the environment that has been created an allowed at the Oak Brook location. This gym become like a dive bar full of drunk people and women who look like they are for sale. The facility and pool is beautiful, but heavy drinking is encouraged and the guests being allowed in are making paying members uncomfortable. I am a founding member and live in the community and continue to retain hope that management will change and this location will become the vision that as sold when it first opened.

I visited this Life Time location for the first time yesterday. I was greeted by Darius at the front desk. I had several questions. He patiently answered my questions and made me feel welcome. Thank you Darius! The remainder of my visit was positive. The staff members were friendly and the facility was very clean.

I've been a member of Lifetime Fitness for quite some time now, and I must say that my experience with GM TK has been far from satisfactory. TK's management style and conduct have left me with a sense of disappointment.Throughout my interactions with TK, I've noticed a lack of empathy and a dismissive attitude towards members' concerns. TK appears more focused on asserting authority rather than genuinely caring about the well-being and satisfaction of the members.Furthermore, TK's communication skills are severely lacking. Attempts to address issues or seek clarification have often been met with condescension and a complete disregard for providing clear and helpful responses. As a GM, TK should be setting a positive example for the gym's staff and fostering an environment of support and encouragement. Unfortunately, I've witnessed instances where TK's leadership has led to staff members feeling demotivated and unappreciated. In my opinion, a gym should be a place where members feel welcomed, valued, and inspired to achieve their fitness goals. Unfortunately, GM TK's demeanor has created an atmosphere that falls short of these expectations.
