First of let me start by saying the process is as smooth as butter. Amie was such a great help. Amie was very thoughtful, kind, always had a smile on her whether it was meeting for the first time or the third of fourth time you always know you'll be welcomed very well. With the help of Amie I was able to get the ring that was perfect for my now soon to be wife. She loved it as did I. Amie thank you for the help, for reassuring that everything was going well and for every detail during the process. The ring is amazing thank you!

Super Satisfied with Blue Nile helping me get an engagement ring. Helen helped me out a ton explaining all that goes into picking out a diamond as someone who didn’t know much going in. 10/10 would recommend, great service, prices, and quick shipping.

After canceling an online order, I decided to go in store to make my purchase. Zack was the salesman that helped me. I showed him my original ring and price and he helped me select a larger diamond with better clarity and cut, he was exceptionally helpful and very knowledgeable, he got me the best ring for the best price. I was extremely impressed and happy with his service. My ring is so beautiful. So glad I canceled my original online order and ended up with Zack to guide me!

We had a terrible experience with this Oakbrook store. My husband purchased a diamond necklace for my birthday. The diamond was beautiful but the chain attached to it was very thin and chintzy. I only wore it once and it would tangle and knot whenever it was off because the chain was so thin.
My husband called and talked to Helen to see if we could bring it in to upgrade the chain. She required us to make an appointment and we drove an hour to get to the store. Once we arrived they told us there was nothing they could do despite knowing that’s why we were coming in. They did not have another option for the chain and they told us to take it to an actual “jeweler”. They also said if the jeweler modified the item in anyway , it would nullify the warranty . My husband was willing to pay more for a better chain but they would not allow us to return for an upgrade. Finally they said they could send it back to the manufacturer and see if there was anything they could do but my gift would be gone for 5 weeks and they could not guarantee they could change it.
The appointment was a complete waste of time. They do not service their products and they were unhelpful and unwilling to work with us in anyway.
They may be great at selling people stuff but they do not service their products or accomodate customers.

I Purchased a ring here from Laura Lichaciovas, who was very helpful in explaining to me all of the critical considerations for my purchase. She took the time to help me understand so that I could be better prepared to find exactly what I wanted, and did not pressure me Into a purchase. This was the 1st store I went to and had planned on visiting several. After visiting 3 other stores, I returned to Blue Nile and Laura because they had the ring I wanted and the customer service was superior to the other stores. I am very pleased with ny experience and would recommend this store and Laura.

Helen Orth is awesome to work with!
Thanks to her knowledge and expertise, we bought a wedding ring set and were able to select a center stone that far exceeded the clarity and color parameters we had in mind, while staying within budget! It has such a beautiful "sparkle"! She educated us while comparing differences between various center stones. Helen never rushed our meeting, answered all of our questions, and focused on our desires! We highly recommend Helen!

She was also very patient with finding us the right ring size - turned out I was between two regular sizes and Helen requested a customized size for me. We are very happy with our rings!

I was hesitant to even write a review, but I cannot stop replaying this negative experience in my head. My boyfriend and I made an appointment and drove over 1.5 hours to the Oak Brook location. We called about an hour before our appointment to inform them that we were running about 30 minutes late. We received a call back saying that this was completely fine and they would be ready for us when we got there. Very kind of them and they had every right to cut our appointment short but they didn't! This is where the good experience ends...
We shared that this was our first experience looking at engagement rings in person but I had a general idea of what I wanted (metal, shape, carat, etc). Sarita talked us through the different options and then measured my ring size. The second she discovered my ring size was 9-9.5, the entire mood shifted. She repeated (an embarrassing number of times!) that my size was "outside of their normal range" and they would need to "special order a size like that". I tried to laugh it off, but we could not believe how many times she felt the need to mention that the ring would take longer to ship and cost more because of my apparently outrageous ring size... We assured her that we weren't in a hurry and we cared more about getting the right size. Once we found a ring that we liked, we asked to sit down and ask about financing. My boyfriend was put in an awkward position when Sarita asked him in front of me if he could be more flexible with the budget so that I could get a bigger diamond. I restated that I was happy with the setting/diamond we picked out and I was not comfortable asking him to pay more. I get that she is a salesperson and wanted to make more money, but finances are generally a touchy subject and not something you use to pin a soon-to-be engaged couple against each other?
The icing on the cake was receiving the emailed details of another couple's ring after we left (with the other man's email included, which feels like a strange invasion of privacy?) and never receiving our own.
All in all, we were happy with the selection offered by Blue Nile but the in-person experience was so uncomfortable that we are looking elsewhere for an engagement ring. I guess if you have a $5000+ budget and ring size under 7 you will probably love this showroom..
