Sadly, the Allen Edmonds of even just a few years ago is not the Allen Edmonds of today. They've since been sold off to yet another private equity firm, and everything has gone downhill since then.
The variety of AE's selection is poor. Not a single derby in sight, but they do have a number of leather sneakers that sit somewhere in no-man's land in terms of versatility for you to choose from.
The lack of selection could be forgiven, however, if the in-store experience wasn't so terrible and you could actually walk out with an oxford that fit. There were multiple employees working the store, and only one customer being fitted. We waited nearly a half hour, pacing up and down the small shoe shop before getting helped. When we finally got help, I was simply put on a Brannock, tossed a couple pairs of shoes, and immediately thereafter the saleswoman walked away. Very little personal attention. I even got eye-rolled for the crime of trying on the sizes I was given more than once to try and make sure what fit me best.
Coming in here as a customer, I was made to feel like much more of an inconvenience than a potential sale. The two women working the shop did nothing to make my visit pleasant, nor did it seem like they actually wanted to make sure I was taken care of. Apologies to you, AE Oak Brook staff for coming in and trying to get fit for your shoes...
I think people need to come to terms with the fact that this brand is (mostly) dead now.

Eva provided outstanding customer service. She walked me through all sizing considerations and the experience was smooth. This is my first pair of shoes at this price point. Looking forward to upgrading all my shoes. Bravo!

Establishment is not military friendly and is unnecessarily pretentious.Out of all days, yesterday my spouse was treated like a peasant for inquiring into a military incentive. The response and dismissive manner from the staff was far from exemplary service.Please be mindful and practice emotional intelligence to those who’ve sacrificed, and served our country. Also, train your staff for better customer service relationship management.My husband is frequent shopper for this company, and he will not be returning to this location again.

Incredibly well made, comfortable shoes that are actually made in the United States. They also carry EEE shoes that look really good.

Great shoes and superb service. Allen Edmonds makes excellent shoes. Yes, they can be expensive but the quality is there. I had to return a pair of AE shoes I had ordered via the internet for a different size so I took them to my local AE store. They were very gracious, fitted me there and ordered the correct size. I received the new pair even faster than my original order.

I wouldn't recommend this location. I came in last year to be fitted for a nice pair of shoes for my wedding. The rep insisted that I was a 10.5 even though I normally wear 11.5. I was sceptical even though he assured me that this was normal and they would be uncomfortable at first. My feet hurt so bad the night of my wedding that I never wore them again. What a waste of $400I went back in the store and another rep sized my feet telling me that I am actually a size 11 and the individual that sized me before was fired and understood exactly what I went through.When inquired about them making this right with a replacement shoe, they told me that they would not do anything to remedy this and that "I would have to do what I have to do"Very disappointed and I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I bought a pair of shoes in November and it took a couple months to get to me. When it got to me there was a slight imperfection but when I brought it back to the store the representative Eva was extremely helpful and made the exchange process very easy.

I ordered 2 Allen Edmonds online. One came is with the wrong color and the wrong soles, the other came in with a big crease in between the quarter and the the heel corner. Kim, the store manager, helped me return them.I ordered them again this time by phone and the 1 came in perfect, but the other one came in exactly with the same defects. Went back to Oak brook branch, and Kim, the store manager helped me again. She refunded the money and the shipping and reordered my Shoes. Right before the shoes was shipped, Kim sent a "heads up" email saying my shoes are on the way.Thanks to Kim, the store manager, for her patience and willingness to help.
