They refuse to make their system working, hated to say but have 6 months calling and calling and nothing but a rude lady on the phone laughimng at us, just today we were priced for$180 for a tehnician to come over, she scheduled someone withotu our consent , while still said no, need the price ahead and need to know what is goign on and confirmed we are not home, laughed and said good luck, that idiot lady even dared to say not her problem and even if we call the credit card she wishes us good luck

I had to call the cops because Hashim Mohammed (Solutions Advisor) made me feel uncomfortable not leaving my house until he got a credit card and trying to make me sign a contract. He got the credit card number. I didn’t sign the contract once I realized it was for 36mo. He was sneaky about this. I already had a technician come to the house prior and said we needed a part. He didn’t come with the part just wanted me to sign the contract. Pressured me to do without my partner reading it. Tried to lock me in to a contract wouldn’t leave. I ended up asking him to leave explicitly. He sat out front of my house for 20 minutes before leaving which was when I called the cops. He left and he left SOMEONE ELSES walking through sheet with all her information on my dining table. Extremely unprofessional and scammy vibes. Really disappointed with the company. Going to report to the credit bureau and BBB. Also they CHARGED MY CARD AFTER I LEFT EVEN THOUGH I MEVER SIGNED A CONTRACT FOR 0.01 cent.UPDATE: even after I confirmed with the company that they deleted my information the sales manager called me on my personal phone number and left a stern message asking for me to call him. I don’t know how he got my number. He shouldn’t have access to it. Now he won’t return my calls after calling and ADT cannot forward the call to their office. Their office number online is the corporate number.

Nothing works properly, constantly raise your rates, and if you try to cancel they will charge you hundreds of dollars in fees.

We have been using ADT for over a decade now and technicians have serviced us fine in the past but Jim Shirley was cordial, fast, efficient, and for the job done with care.I was upset when our ticket order was entered with items missing but he went above and beyond and called the office to see how he could help us with the miscommunication in a way that would still keep himself on track for his other customers.

I’ve been with ADT for 16 years. David W came out to service my system which needed a new sensor. He called ahead of arriving, was fun (and funny) to work with, he was EXTREMELY knowledgeable - installed the new sensor - then checked my entire system to ensure it’s perfect all around. He took the time to explain my options and equipment, and was efficient in his work. He’s an A+ consummate professional, and an example for every service tech in the nation to aspire to be. Thank you!!

Once adt gets you you can’t just stop service there’s 1 and 2 year or 3 even contracts , they won’t stop billing and charging the credit card on file also go to your account and scroll all the history , I moved from my old home 6 months ago ago and there automatically charging me every month for a service . I’ve called multiple times spoke to operators to supervisors promised it would be fixed nope! So BEWARE they have no office or store everything online. Stay away from them.

Dismal service and complete lies. Jose I was the rep who sold my office on changing our video cameras and security system. Was told that services would be included and access. After a full day install the installer left at the end stating everything was set up. Turns out it wasn't and when I contacted Jose about it he then stated ohhh yeah now you have to buy this other equipment. Have not heard back from him after informing him this would not work and we would either have to have the promised services come through or to return the whole system. Reached out to the national branch and was told it was dealt with locally. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY and Jose for sure.

I’m Under Stress & Having Anxiety About An Extra Charge On My ADT Bill, Representatives From Overseas Not Very Understanding Of My Situation, Lady Representative Today Keeping Me On Hold For Over 40 Minutes, Her Impatience & Not Making Any Effort To Find A Solution To My ADT Defective Surveillance Camera & Security Monitoring Needs To Have Maintenance Done, Today Representatives Overseas Keep Hanging Up On Me & Giving Me The Run-Around! I Can’t Re-Schedule Appointment For Anyone To Finish The Job. I’m A Disabled Grandmother With Cognitive Impairment & Physical Disabilities. If Some Don’t Want To Answer The Phone Or Take Calls Why Take Phone Calls If They Don’t Like Costumers?!

Customer service is terrible and ADT charges a lot of hidden and expected fees then when you want to cancel they will charge you a $1000 fee to cancel. I talked to Jim Goeing & Michael Hicks about canceling the monthly fees both of them said they could not do anything nor did they care that they would lose me as a l customer. I do not recommend ADT to anyone

I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service provided by ADT. I have encountered significant issues and experienced a complete lack of resolution when attempting to address them through your "customer service" representatives.Firstly, I had an appointment scheduled with ADT on 5/27/23 from 12 to 4 pm, which I purposely made an effort to accommodate despite it being a holiday weekend and my own birthday as I need this battery beeping noise gone! To my dismay, at 3:15 pm, a representative called me to inform me that the technician was running behind schedule. I explicitly expressed the urgency of having my battery fixed before or right at 4 pm, but despite my request, the technician never showed up at all. I waited a total of 4 hours like if I don’t have anything else to do! What's even more frustrating is the fact that ADT didn't bother to notify me that the technician wouldn't make it, leaving me in a state of complete disappointment. A complete waste of my time.Throughout my attempts to communicate with ADT’s customer service representatives, I found them consistently talking over me, displaying a lack of empathy, and failing to provide any satisfactory solutions. This behavior is not only disrespectful but also highlights ADT's disregard for its customers.I must express my deep disappointment in ADT's overall service. The blatant lack of professionalism and respect for customers' time is not only disappointing but also unacceptable. It is disheartening to witness the precious time I dedicated to ADT being completely wasted due to their negligence.My recommendation to all is go with Xfinity or anybody else. I am only using them for the two year period and I am done with ADT. Not worth the headaches.

To begin with, I was an ADT customer since 1991. We lived in Potomac, MD and had ADT security and automation system installed from an office in Virginia that covers the DMV area. The full system cost over $20,000! The system never worked properly, the installers were incompetent, and the salesperson and managers were the unresponsive! In general, use a local security company with referals; ADT has poor equipment, poor installers and an overall lack of management. They don't deserve one star.

This company and it's customer service is disgusting! Please beware before signing up with them! It is almost impossible to contact their customer service. I have called multiple times during business hours, confirmed details and than get an automated message that they are closed except for business hours- while calling Monday-Friday between 9am-11pm. They will put a payment through MULTIPLE times in one day causing the payment to be declined/frauded and than add fees for non-payment and just add on to it month after month. I have made multiple payments and they do it every time and then refuse to service your residence until it's paid but it's impossible to pay! I have proved I had funds and they don't care. I have been a victim of violent crime and I had someone (with this system in my home active) walk into my home and when I contacted them they transferred me over 6 times to every department including sales when I asked if they could just confirm the time my door sensor went off for a police report and they couldn't tell me yes or no and than told me to get an app which I did and than told me I had to have a technician come out to "activate" the app for me! I contacted chat for help and they told me they couldn't provide customer services email, couldn't cancel my account and COULDN'T have ANYONE call me back! I explained I keep calling and apparently that's just my problem! They will NOT cancel your account/make it impossible to cancel your account. I feel sick every time I try and talk to this sheisty company. It's awful. Please go with SimpliSafe or Ring or literally ANYONE else.

I won't recommend ADT to anyone. I requested them to cancel my service but they never did. When I filed the complaint with BBB then ADT told them that they cancel my service (Which they never did). They are keep charging me and giving false information to BBB. Not sure what to do. May be I am going to take some legal action against ADT

Should have actually read more reviews. Do yourself a favor and choose another home security provider. ADT is only a "monitoring" entity. The "installers" are the people who sell and upsell the equipment and monitoring plans. You will never recieve the promotional gift cards, or whatever they are pushing at the time. ADT will tell you there was an issue with the installation company and to call them back at a later time. Then they will tell you your offer is expired and you are SOL. When you have an issue with the equipment (which WILL happen) it becomes an issue to send an installer. Back to fix the problems. Again, choose another provider. You do have better options.
