I recently took my vehicle in for the first time here not knowing what to expect. When I got there I was greeted by Charles at the front desk, he was courteous and effectively. After an inspection was done on my vehicle and I got the quote I decided to get the work done. Now I’m glad I decided to have my vehicle serviced here. I have peace of mind that the job on my vehicle was done by reliable experts.The service to my vehicle was performed by the savvy technician Christian and his group of mechanics.The work they did was knowledgeable and professional.I highly recommend Meineke Car Care Center.

Everything was fine. Charles was courteous and respectful. The problem was when I went to pay the bill there was a hidden fee. I raised a concern and was told it was shop costs. Ridiculous and wasn’t in estimate. It was removed. Talked to another patron of theirs who said they really like them but experienced the same thing and had it removed. Very concerning

CAUTION: Got scammed by these guys.I know scam is a harsh word but I truly stand by that statement.Went in for an oil change and wanted to get a tire plugged. They said I needed new tires and my car was misfiring and would need new spark plugs. I believe cost would be around 1600$. I said no thank you just the oil change, at which the guy on the phone said ok so full diagnostics and oil change only. They wanted to add another 150$ onto the bill even though I DID NOT ASK for a car diagnostic.This is dishonest and taking advantage of customers and people who don’t have money.I said ok fine let’s do the spark plugs if I would otherwise have to pay that fee. Around 500$ or so to flush the system and put spark plugs. I drive off the lot and the car continues to misfire instantly. They fixed nothing at all. I took it to another mechanic he said “easy you need a new coil” charged me 200$ and it was fixed.They do no actual problem solving or trouble shooting. They easily could have found the real problem but again we’re taking advantage of me.I did not need to buy new spark plugs. They were only a year old but I made the mistake of trusting them. Scammed me for 500$ for completely no reason at all.DO NOT TRUST THEM!

Got me right in and checked out my car. Then let me know what should be done and the option to do all or none of the suggestions. They took care of my air conditioner problem. The other recommended services were said to not be an emergency so they will wait. I'd recommend this place if asked.

TERRIBLE COMPANY WITH INEXPERIENCED TECHNICIANS WHO REFUSE TO TAKE ACCOUNTABILTY! I was referred to the Northlake, IL Meineke to have a new motor placed in my 2010 Chevy Traverse. On 8/29/2023 I picked up my vehicle and paid them over $8500 in full, on 10/28/2023 while driving home from Indiana my motor locked up and I had to get it towed back to Chicago. That Monday, Northlake manager Charles Mcdonald did not arrange to get my vehicle towed back to the shop until after 5pm although I called him when they opened at 8am, and when I drove up to the shop that Tuesday after 3pm I saw that my vehicle still sitting in the parking lot where the tow truck dropped it off at. Charles then tried to lie to me saying that the tow truck had just dropped it off there (so where has it been since 5pm yesterday then Charles, if the tow truck driver didn't bring it here). Then he got upset because I caught him in his lie and decided to get my vehicle towed to their Crestwood location, so that was more time I had to go without my vehicle. Finally got my car back on 11/24/2023 only to discover that it's not shifting gears properly and the technician forgot to do the wheel alignment after placing the supposedly brand-new engine block inside the car. I immediately called Charles to let him know so that I could take it back, he said he was going to call the Crestwood shop and call me back... it is 11/26/2023 and I have yet to hear back from him and any other representatives from Meineke. I wholeheartedly regret doing business with this shady company. Charles Mcdonald has terrible customer service and the Meineke brand could care less about their customers after they receive their payment. TERRIBLE COMPANY WITH INEXPERIENCED TECHNICIANS WHO REFUSE TO TAKE ACCOUNTABILTY! I wish I didn't have to give them any stars!

I only gave 1 star because I had to. I'm very dissatisfied with the multiple services that I have received from this particular Meineke store. (Northlake) I put my Buick Enclave in to have a "New" motor installed. After I received my car back, every week for 5 weeks I was returning it due to oil leaks. Finally the motor went out. Yes, they finally put a "New" motor in at their Crestwood location, but when they towed my car (which is AWD) back to Northlake, Yes, they damage my transmission unit. I've dealt with 2 different Manger at this location because the 2nd Manger said they were receiving multiple complaints about the previous Manger & he was there to clean up previous Manger's mess. Charles, gave me a hard time receiving a loaner car, he never returned calls as he promised he would, he didn't keep us updated. If my husband didn't call we wouldn't have gotten any updates, even though "they" were the reason my car was still at their shop for repairs. At some point, 1 of the mechanics, actually unplugged my brain box so that the car wouldn't talk to the machine, which was telling that the timing was off in the 1st motor that they installed. I wouldn't send a hot wheel to this location for repairs.

So when I went there the last time, I was told 2 STOP driving my car, cuz the antifreeze was leaking & would ruin my engine. Well I went somewhere else & they fixed it but then didn't fix it all the way (probably cuz I'm a Female & hey she'll b back & we'll make even more &). NOT. Just cuz some men c females, they think, hmmm what can I get away with but esp they'll b back 2 get it fixed. WELL NOT 2 THAT EITHER. I'M NOT STUPID !!!!!! So, I found MY FOREVER MECHANIC @ Magna & Sons in Northlake, Il. GREAT PEOPLE, WHO DO GREAT WORK & DON'T TAKE ADVANTAGE OF FEMALES!!!! THANKU LOUIS ????

I have been going to this facility for years even before they were Meineke (NorthLake auto before) when Meineke bought the place I kept bringing my cars today I had an oil change the price went up $96.00 for full synthetic oil they used to do the tire rotation it so happened today I noticed they did not rotate my tires I confronted them and i was told there's an extra charge for tire rotation. Really? Today they lost me and my whole family 6 cars total as customers......bye Meineke.....

Was quick and easy, had them inspect a certain area of my car because I thought something was wrong. They found the issue and gave me some options to work with on how to get it fixed and the cost. Great customer service and speedy service. Would recommend 10/10Service: Exhaust
