I go to this store frequently as it is close to work but lately have been rather disgusted with the store, mainly the customer service aspect. Last week I went in at 11:30 am to grab a salad and the salad bar was closed. When I asked 2 deli associates if they were going to open it they just shrugged their shoulders. Today, on a very busy Saturday I asked one of the management team why the self checkout at the other end of the store wasn't open and I was basically ignored.

Sucks, plain and simple. Staff is s**** Old products still sit on the shelves. Bakery is by far the worst part in that store I would not eat any of the bread if you seen the back room freezer storage Trust me I know I worked there. Hot bar serve old food, meat and seafood don't be handle properly in the back rooms. Just nasty.

Super weird store- honestly a little on the expensive side, often out of basic items, they rearrange it occasionally. The weirdest thing is that they leave pallets of things in the middle of the aisles that never seem to move?

It's not the largest Mariano's smaller foot print than some others. But it often has what I'm looking for which are the basics. I kind of like the smaller store since I know exactly where the eggs, milk and the staples that I usually get are located. Self check out lanes are plentiful and it's easy to get in / out.

This is the worst managed Mariano's. Consistently. The one on Skokie Blvd so much better. Every time I'm at the Willow Rd Mariano's I leave in a bad mood. Management is very unhelpful, standing around while you look bewildered. And management is never wrong; they will argue their point to their dying breath. The client is never right. I think they are in a bad mood because they also hate the store and they know how poorly managed it is. Corporate needs to send in a replacement team ASAP.

I just got my 2nd dose of my COVID vaccine here. Every single person had their mask over their nose and mouth. Julianna was working the check in and I've never seen a check in so organized, friendly, welcoming and efficient. The pharmacist was also so kind. Well done everyone! The people and systems make the difference!

Wow I grabbed an 8-inch fruit tart. The pastry and custard flavor was on pointe! But the fruit still had cores and stems lol. Not expected for a beloved $16 treat

These people need to do better. They are getting lazy in their jobs and they starting to not care about the people who come in for prescriptions. That's the exact garbage I got from Walgreens.

Since Kroger has owned Mariano’s this store has gone downhill. Brands are increasingly being replaced by Kroger private label products and the availability of some brands of bread is hit or miss. Yes they reorganized the produce area and spruced it up, but the selection of organic produce is still very small and the overall quality of produce hasn’t improved. The prices have gone up too. So as much as I loved Mariano’s before, I have gone back to Jewel for most of my shopping. Apparently they think customers will stay because of their new produce tables. If I want to pay more for a much smaller selection of food there’s always Whole Foods. At least they carry more organics.

You will catch me at this Mariano's rain or shine, good experience or not because it is my local store, but if I have to endure one more of a specific female cashier's scandalous love affair tales, I swear I will lose it. Never ceasing to cop a lackadaisical attitude, she makes a two-minute checkout a ten-hour, torturous experience. Quite often on the store's PA system, there are a few moments of heavy breathing which, at this point, goes unnoticed. Just wondering if anyone there actually notices the slightly disconcerting noise? Aside from the checkout process, the store offers a large variety of cheeses and now, alcohol (with the recent remodel), so what else can a girl want?

I was in the hood today (Northfield) and I wanted my daily green detox drink. At this location the coffee bar, gelato and juice drinks are serviced by one person. I was taking to the server and she informed me that Mariano's now owned by Kroger intends to phase out all of these sometime near the end of the year. I love Mariano's and go there either every day or every other day for my Green Detox Drink. I sure hope this isn't true as this is one of the services the separate Mariano's from Jewel. If you go to Mariano's please let them know that you would like this service to remain

The Mariano's Northfield is a great place for birthday cakes. Shannon has decorated at least four kids bday cakes for us and the have all been great looking and delicious. I highly recommend it.
