“One of the most enjoyable shopping experiences and some of the best customer service I have ever received for a major purchase. The showroom is super nice and generally quiet so you have the time and space to decide from the multiple styles and price points. The quality of all furniture is excellent, much better than expected, especially when you consider how reasonably priced it is. We purchased a complete bedroom set in August 2023 and there was an odd size issue with the mattress. After a phone call and some pictures, the staff was extremely apologetic and resolved it as quickly as possible by replacing the mattress. And the delivery and installation crew were a pleasure to deal with. Overall, this was a five star experience with Dania. We're definitely looking forward to shopping there again and buying more from Dania.”

The interior designer, John, helped me find the perfect couch for my new apartment. The owner, Chris, set up same-day delivery for us and personally delivered the couch along with a colleague. They were in and out in 5 minutes. I’ve never had a better furniture buying experience. I love supporting local businesses and will definitely be stopping in again soon for more furniture!”

“When I thought of a new kitchen table, I knew I didn’t want a regular, plain, typical dining table. I wanted a statement a work of art. After visiting many furniture stores and not finding what I was looking for, I decided to do some research. I googled beautiful unique kitchen tables. And voila I found these beautiful live edge wood tables that caught my eye. I kept looking and researching and found Elko Hardwoods. After visiting their store in Chicago, I decided that their work is absolutely beautiful! I got in contact with Matt T, owner and designer. From then on our vision was born. I chose a custom oxidized maple with live edges. When it arrived I was ecstatic ! It is everything and more than I expected. A work of art!! Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you to Matt and his company for such a gorgeous piece of art!! Love, love, love it!!”
“I have been curious about Winifred Grace for some time; it's in the neighborhood but I've never really had a chance (or found the parking) to visit. But I've followed on Instagram and they have some beautiful jewelry, and I love jewelry, so I stopped in today whilst waiting for my coffee order at The Coffee Studio to be ready. The staff were nice; I was greeted immediately upon entering. I did get there as they were opening, so it was just me and the three employees. I wandered around for ten minutes or so. They have some beautiful merchandise for sure, and work with local artists as well as those further afield for their jewelry (at the very least). They carry pieces from at least half a dozen artists. Most of it is gold, and I'm not a fan of gold but they had a few silver pieces that interested me and I may be back for. The clothing was a skip for me, since I'm not sure they carry anything above a size four or so. They also had some clips/hair bands/head bands, and why did I spend a ridiculous amount on these? Because they're beautiful, I guess. I think what originally brought WG to my attention is that they do permanent jewelry. I'm really intrigued by this so I've checked into the places I know do it in the city. WG has particularly beautiful chains, and they have a variety of charms from red which to choose (I like the mama one now that I can call myself that!). I need to look at price and confirm that this is where I want to do permanent jewelry... but I think I might be back for that. As a word to the wise, the employee told me that I could come and do it as a walk in, but they recommend appointments on the weekend because it can be very busy. There's nothing but street parking around here, and it's not in the busiest part of Andersonville where there's more parking. There's some street parking on the surrounding streets, and don't forget about Ashland or as far north as Victoria and whatnot up by Gethsemane, which also has a short metered portion.”

“Such a cool shop! I recently visited this shop for the first time and feel in love with so many of their items. I ended up purchasing a pair of vintage chairs and love them in my space.My overall experience was great. The staff were super helpful when purchasing the chairs, they had them cleaned for me, and made picking them up super easy. “I've wanted to stop in Neighborly many many times, only to be thwarted by parking in Lincoln Square, or the times I've been able to find parking it has been early and the store wasn't open. Yay for Apple Fest, I was able to stop on by! They had a small booth at Apple Fest but I'm glad that we were still there when the store opened because as you may imagine, there was quite a bit more in store. They feature local artisans and lots of Chicago merchandise, from clothing to artwork. I bought baby's first hoodie here because it's super cute with the Chicago flag and everything! The staff were really friendly as well and happily they take digital wallets. Next time I have guests, this is the shop I'm going to suggest to them whether or not they think they want souvenirs, because they have a lot of great stuff here. I will definitely return as well because they have some lovely items that can work for home or as gifts. I especially would like to find a onesie or t-shirt for my daughter that has the Ork Posters (who own Neighborly) neighborhoods image on it.”
“Although this is called the Sweden Shop it is a must visit for any Nordic native. It is so difficult to find Finnish food in America so I was overjoyed to find a wide variety of my favorite foods from Finland as well as just seeing other things from Finland and of course Moomin.
