“Fantastic place & atmosphere. There are very few hardware stores that I feel like wondering around in and checking out every isle - well, maybe one, and this is it. Also, the only one that I've ever gone back to in order to pick up an extra set of mini - Rockem - Sockem Robots. ??”

“Kitchen & Bath Mart gave us the best renovation experience we have ever had! We had a horrible experience with another company who only replaces showers. We were a bit skittish about redoing the rest of the bathrooms, but after meeting George at Kitchen & Bath Mart, we immediately trusted him. George did not disappoint. He (and Joe) thoughtfully designed two beautiful bathrooms, which perfectly matched two showers that they didn't even put in. George was unfailingly prompt, reliable, thorough and professional, every step of the way. George, Joe and Dennis kept us updated, started our project exactly when they said they would, and and helped to create two bathrooms that felt like luxury at a very reasonable cost. The construction team, headed by Shaun, was as professional, prompt, courteous, and detail-oriented as George and his team. Shaun and his team were even able to help us with much-needed drywall and paint repairs in our home, which were not part of our original project. We are forever grateful to Kitchen & Bath Mart! We will definitely go back when and if we ever need to redo our kitchen. Highly, highly recommend. Kitchen & Bath Mart is one in a million.”

“Very happy with recent service from AG. He replaced a plexiglass storm window panel with bent aluminum frame, and the hardware on a sliding storm window panel from a porch door. Relatively small jobs, but he took care to complete the repairs right and at a low price. Communication throughout the process was also great. Highly recommended.”

“I never knew this place existed until I was watching a Youtube tutorial for a dropcloth slipcover for a sofa and the youtuber linked the dropcloth she bought at Harbor Freight. I had been looking for a dropcloth on Amazon and at Home Depot/Lowes, which were all in the $25-$35 range. The one on the Harbor Freight website was $15. I thought that maybe Harbor Freight was a local store to wherever the Youtuber lived, because I had never heard of it or seen one, so I was happy to check the store locator link and find one close by. And it had the drop cloth I wanted in stock. I was able to quickly find it in store (exactly in the aisle/bin the website said it would be). The cashier was nice. I'm not sure why the reviews here are so low. I walked out with my dropcloth, saved at least $10 compared to Amazon (and $15-$20 compared to HD/Lowes), and it was super quick. It feels like an Ace Hardware inside, except better prices. The dropcloth isn't the best quality (it's their store brand, I assume), but it definitely serves its purpose as a temporary slipcover to test out if I want to reupholster my sofa in that color fabric. I need to buy a powerdrill one of these days, and I will likely be coming here to do so. Their drills are very reasonably priced. Also, they had great music playing (The Offspring was rocking out on the playlist while I was there). I'll definitely be back.”

“My husband went there on my recommendation (we live in the city and were in the area) and he was skeptical that they would have what he needed. I waited in the car while he went in (he can be there for eternity) and he came back with everything on his list. He raved that they were friendly, knowledgeable and HELPFUL.He also said on the whole, the store was very clean and organized compared to the other smaller hardware stores closer to our condo.”

“Even though they couldn't provide me with the item i wanted, young gentelemt at the front desk was very helpful and concerned about the door o was looking for.”

“Helpful, knowledgable, and genuine people. A good selection of typical things you'd look for in a neighborhood hardware store. The lumber selection is pretty good, too, and the cuts they do (for a fee) are substantially better than big box stores. If they don't have something, folks I've talked to are more than happy to refer you to another local store that might help. My go-to for all hardware and projects.”

“I've lived in Roger's Park since 60's and this is the first time I've ever been here. I was overwhelmed. Forgot to take pics inside.Needed keys made. 2 keys, a springy hoop key ring for under $7.00! Boom, Done!Compared to the key Kiosk at the Jewels, $13.50 plus 3 to 5 days shipping, no thanks.Support your local merchants.”

“This particular Ace felt like a good old-fashioned hardware store. I walked in, and the smell of nostalgia hit hard. Customer service was excellent, and everyone was friendly.”

“Always have staff available to help which is a rarity these days. They've evolved their floor plan to have more home goods assortment also. Great paint department with on-staff expert willing to help with projects. Huge focus on grilling and smoking equipment too.”

“Every person who works in this shop is knowledgeable and can point you in the right direction even if they don't have something (which has yet to happen for me). Perhaps the household projects I take on don't require anything special but I've found everything I've tried to find here. Prices are all over the board - they will have a premium product on the high end and their store brand will be the low end. Great value either way!!”

“Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. They cut glass and fix window screens within walking distance of my home. Such a small store that’s filled with so much valuable stuff. A real hardware store!”

4.5 Superb18 Reviews

“Staff is very friendly and helpful. They are very knowledgeable as well. The only issue I have is the wood cutting. Had to return a few pieces of plywood and get them recut. Also, the cuts were not great as it looks like the blade they used is not in the best shape. I would definitely come here again but I don't think I'll be paying for wood cutting here in the future.”

“The staff is knowledgeable and they always have help suggestions to solve issues. The store also pretty much carries anything you might need for any home improvement project.”

“Love that these folks carry all kinds of tools and gadgets, I even got my pepper spray here! Gotta admit, a lot of these products are slowly becoming really pricey though.”

“Great store with great service. I purchased a Stihl 251 chainsaw, but once home I couldn’t start it :-(. Came back and they showed me how I probably flooded it…and then we did get it to start…but it takes a real good pull, and I knew it would be too much of a hassle down the line. So I decided to return it, and they processed it without a complaint in literally 30 seconds. Great service always, even when the sale doesn’t work out. Will do more research and find an alternative that’s easier to start….and if they sell it will definitely buy from them. One more thing…even the owner got involved to make sure I was satisfied with the service…wow. Special shout out to Jeffrey for great no pressure help.”

“Everyone here is always super helpful and friendly. I needed some two by fours cut for a small project and living in a condo, I do not have yard space to make any lumber cuts. They cut everything exactly as requested and were great about it. I highly recommend this place!”

“Best rental spot around! hands down. Ryan who runs the dept. is the BEST- can do attitude, super helpful, knows everything, keeps the customer centric and does it with a smile and a personal touch. Large staff - most rental places have 1 old guy, who takes forever, and if there is another customers - add 30 minutes to your wait. I was in and out in less then 10 minutes fully loaded, paper work done. Now ALL of that is a big deal and is important - but it doesnt mean a thing - if you dont have the equipment to rent. This is the best rental stock I've seen. not just 1 compactor - but 6, not 2 concrete mixers, but 8. you can pretty much count on them to have it available because they have multiple units. I just wish I had MORE projects and needed more rentals. LOVE this place!”
