“Brought in coins from my dad’s collection. I tried to find out the cost of coins on my own and was overwhelmed. Then didn’t even know how to begin to sell them. Went to Oakton Coins and Collectables. They went through them and gave me a price. We sold to them and trusted they were being fair! I’ll probably never know but made that deco to sell to them. Hard to part with my dad’s collection but we lived in Oakton for my entire youth and young adult life. Maybe meant to be.”

4835 N Damen Ave, Chicago“Super cute shop in Ravenswood/Lincoln Square. I’ve purchased a few items including a vintage refurbished desk and their super warm washable wool blankets.I’m giving it 4 stars because they’ve started selling more “new” furniture and less vintage or refurbished furniture - which isn’t my thing. The staff have always been super helpful and knowledgeable about all of their products, so if you have questions they will definitely have answers.Make sure to check out this local shop, I’m sure you’ll find something you enjoy.”
“I can't believe the amazing finds in here! If you're into vintage clothing, dishes, silverware, knickknacks or whatever, it's like a treasure hunt! The thing is you will definitely find treasure every time!”

The selection and finds one can buy are always truly astonishing: Just browsing is an exciting adventure, imagining the objects’ past lives, and being amazed at the inventions and whatnot of yesteryear. The owners are super helpful and always a delight to chat with. The place is so well-kept and clean, and has lots of welcome sunlight to make the mood so cheery here.”
“This store is magical and amazingt My mother's Annie Wynn Mickens had this beautiful 1950 Baby Doll that loved.
Her name is Baby Annie. My mother love love her so much.I took Baby Annie today to get her hair service. And I pick up some jewelry and some beautiful outfits to add to her collection. My mom went home to be with Lord so I will take good care of Baby Annie!!”

“Did an online auction with Ian. He was very responsive & patient with me. Especially since this was the first auction I did with him. I'm very happy as a bidder. It was also pretty cool to see an old MJ bball card go for 25k on the webcast!”
“I always start here if I am looking to buy or sell jewelry. Case upon case of interesting and beautiful things. I have found several lovely pieces. I have also sold things and received a exceedingly fair assessment and price. The other obvious value is the time, conversation and knowledge of the owner Gerlinde who never rushes me regardless of how many calls or customers are circling. She is a gem of a human and time spent in her presence and in her store is precious.”
“In my top 5 favorite stores. Excellent selection from all eras, heavy on the Midcentury modern which is right up my alley.
I’m a big fan of everything here, especially the Saturn lamp!!!! So pretty and cool.
We bought a couple of things.”
“Stumbled upon this antique store, and found a lot of interesting well priced pieces. Wide selection available, and the lady running the store reminds me of my grandma.”

7232 N Western Ave, Chicago“I felt the need to jump in here due to some of these reviews. Bidding process and shipping, etc is very clearly outlined. Unfortunately, people think their items are going to sell for what they paid for them. That never happens at an auction unless it is a rare item. When someone sends items to auction (especially out of an estate) you do it for the ease of removal and to get something instead of disposing. People need to be realistic and remember that the auction house can do absolutely nothing about how much your items sell for. Estimates mean nothing - the market decided the value. And, 9 times out of 10, your items are not worth anything to the market. Also MAJOR plus is that they have IN HOUSE SHIPPING - in today's auction world, that is a rare luxury for buyers and a major bonus for bidding here!”
“What a welcoming place with friendly, helpful staff. This shop is full of high quality antiques and vintage. Plan to spend some time here, there are many beautiful treasure to find!”

5516 W Devon Ave, Chicago“We went to Archie's to see if they were interested in a variety of items we wanted to sell. The entire experience was excellent and conducted with clarity, great communication, and professionalism. Their offers were fair, and they explained why certain things were not valued as we may have expected. We felt very comfortable there and recommend it others looking for their services.”
