It has one of the cleanest bathrooms I’ve seen at a park. Overall it is a great park with amazing turf fields for soccer and other sports

We absolutely love walking around the basin at Techny! Amazing place. You won’t believe this is in northbrook!! The trail around the basin is .7 miles. Great place to spend some quiet time!

Beautiful prairie loop for bike, walk, run. Soccer field, baseball diamond and batting cages. Only downside is I haven’t seen many water fountains.

We came to the park for family photos along the Prarie walk. The walk provided excellent scenery. When we arrived, the place was bustling with baseball games, golfers, etc. Seeing so much of the community out and about was heartening.

It is a very spacious and pleasant place, with a lot of vegetation (now not much because it is still cold) a good place to walk, run, grill meat and practice sports!

A part of Techny Prairie & Field is a trail, 'a Trail Trough Time' located next to the Anetsberger Golf course and Northbrook sports field, and railroad tracks. It was a pleasant surprise when I first found it during my first walk in my new neighborhood. While walking, my imagination was walking through time as well; life of Potawatomi people in the Great Plains, pioneer families daily life in a one room sod homes growing corns, beans and squash in a apron garden. Many birds flying over this wide open prairie making noises wich made a perfect harmony with the sound from the railroad. It's also a beautiful peaceful place for us where we can appreciate everything we see, hear, feel....

Nice spacious park, but even better is the beautiful trails for running or walking, I love it and love the beautiful pond and nice trees and some history too. Highly recommend and a great park to go out for the afternoon with kids, or to go fishing, or even to do some golf practice.

I've driven through Techny, but I have never heard of Techny Prairie Park and Fields. Northbrook is having a plein air photography festival open to the public (even the non-Northbrook-resident public) so we made our way up here to take photos fitting the challenge, one of which is to take a photo here. This park is really quite extensive. They have a workout facility which had fewer folks there than I expected for a Sunday afternoon. The parking lot of the park is very large as well, which is good to support all the activities. They have multiple ballpark fields (three, I believe), as well as batting cages and a soccer field. There's a skate park, and I was surprised to see the breadth of folks who use it--there were some younger folks here but I also saw someone in his 50s or 60s skateboarding. They have a playground. There's a picnic-type shelter for people to have gatherings, complete with a fire pit. And there's a golf course! I don't know anything about golf but it certainly looked large. I think the golf course is free, as may be the other activities (unsure about the batting cages). There are also walking trails, and you can fish here but you must release what you catch. And near one of the ballparks, there was a tall hill... perhaps tobogganing in the winter?Really nice, well-kept park for all to enjoy. Glad to have learned about it and hope to return.

A hidden glory: They have what they call a basin here, for flood runoff, but it's enormous and gorgeous, like a valley in Wyoming. There's a terrific sledding hill for running on, but occasionally big trucks and trains as well come by and ruin the air for a while. You could finish your run on a soccer field, paved trails or the grassy sides of the trails if you were interrupted.

Nice renovations. Field is great. walking paths are pretty but the views and weather were so drab it reminds me why we moved south.

Park is perfect for all intermediate and up riders. My little brother had a hard time cause he's still learning basic tricks, but me and my friends had a great time their. HUGE BOWL, 10FT deep, spine transfers, and a bunch of fun little boxes.

Great place to hang and workout and play. Great turf and baseball fields. One recommendation is to have certain time where you are allowed to bring bikes to use skate park as it would attract many more people. As the only reason I got to Techny is because of training, but I’d love to go all the time if you allowed bikes at the skate park not all the time but have certain times. Please keep this in mind. But anyways very nice place!!!
