Rude owner who talked to me like I was a child. She truly lacks basic manners and doesn't know how to talk to young girls without body-shaming them. I just found out that she's closing the store on 5/31 and I have to say, good riddance! She has cute clothes but it's not worth the verbal abuse!

I never post negative reviews… this is my one exception. The owner was rude, entitled & shameful to be around. Her obnoxious behavior is unacceptable & should not be tolerated. Just Between Friends in Deerfield is just down the road & sells many of the same brands. I have never had an unpleasant experience there; the staff is kind & professional. Go spend your money there or elsewhere. Your preteen daughter should not have to deal with the despicable body shaming & attitude from the owner at this store.

Please do not shop here. The owner shames young women and I cannot even imagine the damage she has done over 38 years. Attitudes like hers cause young women to have eating disorders or engage in self-harm. Please shop elsewhere. Clothing is pricey and the only "deal" here is leaving shamed and empty-handed. Please do not subject your daughters to horrific treatment like this.

DO NOT go to this store! The owner Linda is a judgmental bully who will most likely make your daughter cry. She makes comments such as "you're too big and will never fit in this dress" "nothing in my store will fit you" etc. Plus in all honestly there are plenty of other stores in the North Shore with much better, "in style" inventory. Don't waste your time on this place!

I never post a review- ever. However, this is a special circumstance. If you love your child do not subject them to this place. My lovely child retained her manners despite being bullied, disrespected, and inspected. She burst into tears on the way home. The owner would not allow us the pleasure of finding our own dresses to try on, she actually put things back on the rack after I grabbed them. She took dresses out of my hand. There is some serious mental illness at play here. Keep your kids far away from it.

If you are wealthy and have a very skinny pre teen or teen this might be an ok place for you. This place is not named accurately as no item in the entire store is " such a deal ". Owner is what brings down my rating to 2 stars. Owner is beyond words - arrogant, overbearing , abrasive and pushy. As a pro, they do have a nice selection of party dresses and clothing items as well as fun accessories for teens. My little one is a big fan of their merchandise as they do seem to stay on point with the latest trends for the tween/ young teen set. That said, as a parent, the shopping experience due to the owner's attitude and demeanor was too unbearable to ever consider returning. I can't in good conscience recommend this store as I wouldn't want to put anyone else through that experience .

I made the mistake of bringing my daughter in recently. A lovely teenage girl was helping us, but the owner Linda could not help herself from inputting herself and making my daughter feel awful! I agree with all the other bad reviews on here - while they might have cute clothing for your tween, it certainly isn't worth supporting the vicious owner.

Hi. I never have slammed a local business and I fully support shopping local, but for the sake of your daughters' emotional well being, I can't hold back. First, I will say that Such a Deal in NB has great clothes. HOWEVER, the older woman with the washed out blonde hair is so completely rude. She is not just overbearing and snappy, but my daughter is right when she told me "everyone talks about how she fat shames". I heard it myself and my daughter is not even heavy, but this woman sure made her feel like it! She screams Loud so the entire store can here "I gave you everything that will fit. Here are some larges. That will never fit you" as she yanked something out of my hand for my daughter. Though we did find a dress we liked, my daughter left and said she would never want me to spend a dollar at that store. Be rude to me all you want. Unfortunately, I'm used to dealing with women like you. I have thick skin!! These are teen girls! Shame on you!!! You must be a very unhappy person to try and make young girls feel bad about themselves!

I took my daughter to shop here for her Bat Mitzvah party dress. Was not totally sure what to expect based on reviews I had read. The selection of junior special occasion dresses beat any other store we had visited (there aren’t too many stores left but we went) and Linda who helped us was full of energy and expertise. My daughter left with a dress she loves and cannot wait to wear!! She also got two dresses to wear to friends’ parties. It’s a very cute store. Lots of fun clothes, cute two piece sets and gifts. I’m SO glad we went and had a good experience!

I came to Such a Deal to use a credit. I had saved my receipt which had no expiration date listed in the credit receipt. The owner of the store told me I had to use it at this time or she would no longer honor it. It was a year old credit and the owner became verbally abusive. She yelled at me and declared "You should have brought your grandchild in to the store the weekend after camp ended and before school began". I found myself having to explain to her that shoppiing was not on our list of necessary things to do at that time. In my opinion she was rude, out of place, thoughtless and had a very poor approach to a customer. She did not know my family's health status nor should she assume my grandchild was on a camp schedule. I will never shop at Such A Deal ever again and I advise shoppers to pass this mediocre spot by
