Cannot recommend this place. Had work done and then when a mistake was made by the shop's owner/manager. He promised to fix their mistake. However when I returned, manager was no where to be found. I returned multiple times and employees made excuses why no boss and no one working in the office. Poor and unreliable shop.

Not a good experience with this company unfortunately. Charged an exorbitant amount for a tow to his facility. Claimed he had nothing to do with the tow, but he was the one who arranged it all - and without any cost estimate beforehand, which is required by regulation in Illinois. He made other claims, all of which proved to be false. I've now filed a formal complaint with the regulatory body and suggest you do as well if you've had a similar experience.He is seemingly very nice, but this actions belie the truth.

Disappointing experience with this business. The owner Joey seems very personable but proved to be less than honest unfortunately. He charged an exorbitant amount, $240, for a very short tow. He claimed that he's not the one who towed it, just that he "arranged" for the tow, supposedly to be helpful, yet he was the only interface - not the tow company he contracted with. He also claimed that insurance would cover all of the necessary tows no matter the number nor the dollar amount - another fabrication. Lastly, he claimed that an estimate couldn't be provided beforehand, even though he knew full well both the pickup and drop-off locations, the latter being his shop. This is in direct contradiction with state regulations on towing. I'd suggest that anyone thinking of having their car towed to Hot Rides think twice.

I brought a company car in for a detailing after an employee backed into a parking lot poll. Joey did a great job in repairing the back tail light and damage to the car itself. I've attached board for and after photos so you can see just the work that was done for yourself. Joey was very responsive and all questions that I had while the work was being done. Great service would recommend to anybody looking to have detailing done on their car.

I had mishap with my car that required some minor body work. I found Joey to be very honest with his upfront estimate of the damage and was thrilled to find the final cost to be less than he had anticipated! The front bumper looks as good a new, the wheels look brand new and they even detailed my car. I highly recommend Hot Rides and Joey for anyone looking for excellent and honest work!

This is the worst auto body shop and insurance scam shop in Chicago. My car was driven into the shop after an accident, the owner Jose Ruiz "Joey" is an outright fraud. Not only would he create fake estimates to get "extra insurance money" but he would take apart the car without our permission to make the car "undrivable" so when you want to go pick it up, he would not release it. Now he's trying to charge me and my insurance company $100/day plus processing fees for a car that was driven into his shop but now undrivable because of his negligence and greed. I would not trust this shop or the owner with your vehicle and have resorted to litigation to resolve this $10,000 discrepancy between the initial bid and the revised bid. My sister had been going to his shop for years but not anymore. I've had enough of these scams
