If you don't mind a loud, pushy owner who likes to chat about why other toy stores are awful and follows you around the store, then this store is for you! I have only been in the store one time but she made me so uncomfortable that I left without making a purchase. It's really a shame as they have an excellent selection of toys for every age. I just can't give her my business.

Went in to buy some gifts/activities for a friend children. Told the owner i was looking to buy a couple items for each child. And as the owner was "helping me" (so pushy) she basically yelled at me when I told her some items were probably too difficult for the children I was buying for because my own children are not interested in them. She told me donate it all and be quiet because this is her business!!! I am all about supporting small business, which is why I was in the store but I will not be returning. Sat items down and left. Glenview's small. Word gets around quickly. Looks like I'll take my business elsewhere

I usually do not leave reviews - good or bad - but this experience lingered on my mind. My first time here on a Saturday. I was greeted by the staff and owner. Looked around for a bit and found lots of interesting toys I've never seen before. A card game in an "avocado" caught my eye, and it didn't have any instructions on the front or back. I googled it, and the owner instantly came from behind asking "Excuse me, may I ask what you are doing?" She explained how the card game worked and introduced me to other toys that my 8 and 6 year olds may like. Her question and approach though, was very intrusive and left me feeliing uneasy. I find it very hard to support small businesses if this is how potential customers are treated and monitored. Not a "hooray" for me. Apparently happened to another person that left a similar review.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm." These words come alive when you visit Hip Hip Hooray in their new home in Glenview. Holly and Lindsay enthusiastically take their time to ensure that each customer is matched with the perfect gift for their loved one. Holly is the Willie Wonka of the toy industry. Over the decades she has amassed tremendous knowledge of children's items and cares deeply to ensure each person gets what he/she desires. She seeks first to understand. Having been a lifelong educator for five decades, I have a unique sense of what makes people "truly" care about children and young adults. Just walking in their store brightens my day.

Great store toys for all my grandchildren.ages 7 to 3. Service is great the ladies help you in your selection process which makes it so much better finding the right toy for your child. Sorry to here they are moving to Glenview.

I feel bad that I haven't written a review of the store before considering the fact I've been shopping there since they opened about 10 years ago. My children and I have had nothing but stellar service and love the selection of items there. I suppose I should know the names of the owner and her daughters who work there but for some reason don't. They always offer to walk around the store with me to give me recommendations for the presents that I'm buying. And if I don't want help, they leave me alone. One of the best parts about the store is their phenomenal gift wrapping that comes included in the price of their products. Yes, you pay a little more by shopping at the store, but I prefer supporting a local business, getting good customer service, and having the gifts wrapped in a way that always impresses the receiver. Plus, my kids always love shopping here as well. Somehow, they assist always end up getting something for themselves when we're shopping for gifts. LOL.
