Everyone who works at Heartland loves animals and puts their needs first. Any animal that arrives at Heartland has won the shelter lottery. I have experienced this firsthand as a volunteer and as someone who has adopted from them. I'm not randomly writing a review based on other old reviews like some idiots.
We temporarily closed our adoption center in June 2024 following a flood caused by a water pipe break. Until we reopen, you can adopt by appointment. If you are interested in a particular dog or cat, please fill out an application on our web site.
