A good mechanic that you trust is hard to find. Not here. Armando kept us informed from the beginning. No work is performed until you 'sign off' on it. They take photos and explain to you what is wrong, what needs to be addressed immediately and what you need to keep an eye in the not too distant future. The entire staff is friendly, professional and trustworthy.

I took my car in for an oil change. At the end I was told I needed front brakes, break flush and my battery was low. Armando help me space these out, but I ultimately had it done in one visit. I was given a ride home and was picked up when my car was done. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. I recommend Heart and will definitely use them in the future.

10/10. Honest and straightforward folks in a clean and very welcoming environment. Able to get me in quite quickly despite being insanely busy. Let me know all of the issues with my car, in order of urgency, and most importantly, did not try to convince me that I urgently needed anything that I did not. They did however, provide amazingly detailed info about what IS wrong, and worked with me to created a game plan to tackle these issues a piece at a time, if I want to keep the car. They also offer rides within a five mile radius which I thought I might need, but ended up not. I would do my best to not use that unless I needed to since they’re already so busy, but the fact that they even offer it is phenomenal. Also, they’re great answering questions and keeping you updated before, during, and after service. In closing, you *might* be able to find some services cheaper elsewhere, but I would happily pay a little bit more for a significantly better overall experience. Kudos to every single person on this team. I will happily be back.

I had a problem with leaking coolent that i needed to have looked at soon, and without an appointment, they were very acomidating and able to look at and diagnose the problem right away. They took the time and went over options and were transparent as to what was needed . Even able to secure a loaner car on short notice for me. Overall great customer service and experience.

Armando and the entire crew/staff did an exceptional job fixing my car. They do honest work which is rare nowadays with auto shops. Also, the new courtesy cars were a nice touch. Thank you!

In from out of town and needed an oil change. Reasonable price and average wait time. However, I was told I needed all 4 rotors and pads replaced along with another charge to rotate the tires. $1,100.00 (give or take). Took it to a long time trusted shop here in Northbrook and was told I only needed the 2 rotors replaced and pads. No charge for tire rotation and the other set of rotors could be saved. Price was over $400 dollars less than what I was quoted by Heart. Not very happy about the dishonesty and price gouging. It pays to shop around especially with shops that have been in business for decades here in town. Doubt I'd ever go back to Heart. Can't trust dishonest places like this.

I brought my car to this location a few weeks ago to get my back brakes fixed. I asked for the price out the door before bringing it in, so I expected to pay that same price. However, upon picking up my car they had added “fees” onto the estimate, that raised it by $40. When I asked why it was more expensive, I was told because of taxes. That was not true, since the taxes were already included in the original estimate. Their manager followed up with me in the days after, to ask how the repair went and I expressed my disappointment with the additional cost. Not only did he not respond, but he completely ignored me. I called again today to get a separate estimate well before their closing time. The guy I spoke to, told me he would send me one within a few minutes. Once again, I was totally ignored and they never sent me anything. It’s blatantly obvious that this particular location has horrendous customer service. I was a first time customer and now last time customer after one visit. I’ll never bring my car to another Heart Auto ever again.

I only write a review when my expectations are greatly exceeded. The team at Heart Certified Auto Care in Northbrook have done just that, GREATLY EXCEEDED ALL MY EXPECTATIONS. I’ve been a customer for years and each visit/experience has been pleasant but more importantly, I trust them.
Thank you Heart Auto in Northbrook for years of impeccable service that gets better with each returning visit!

These guys are the future of car care. Communication is easy/convenient and PERSONAL. No strangers calling/leaving stale voicemails and emails. They KNOW YOU AND THEY KNOW YOUR CAR. My Lexus dealer will NEVER see me again. I’m saving money, getting better service and respect! At Lexus, they treat you like they’re doing you a favor.
Armando and his crew are TOP NOTCH!!
You won’t be disappointed.
