Today I had the most lovely experience at Crate & Barrel at Northbrook Court. A special shoutout to Chris, Mary Lynn, and Olivia for amazing customer service and styling help. I came in with little direction and a short time frame (moving into apartment within 1 week). Everyone banded together to help me get set up for my first apartment. I left with a rendered layout of my apartment, all my furniture purchased, and all of my dining ware. I felt so heard throughout the whole process. My preferences were listened to and valued even if they were particular. The best part is that my mom and I had so much fun!! Thank you!

I walked in to the Northbrook Crate and Barrel with hopes of finding many pieces for a recent move. I was approached on the second floor by Bette of the design team. I vocalized what I was looking for and she gave me some information regarding a discount they were offering for their new move program. I went with my fiancé to browse their offerings but really wasn’t finding anything I liked, which I told Bette. She kept wanting me to open a Crate and Barrel credit card and told me I had to purchase something in store to get the discount of the new move program and the Labor Day double points promo for credit card purchases. Again, I told her I am not really finding anything I like and that I wanted to look at more selections online. I just wanted to leave because she was being pushy and not listening AT ALL to what I wanted. She eventually became argumentative and said “why order online? That makes no sense”. Feeling overwhelmed enough, which I actually said to her- I didn’t want to buy a thing from this store online or in store. One of the pushiest, sales-y, over the top, obviously commission chasing experiences I’ve ever had.

***They lie BEWARE***Ten days ago I purchased a king size bed from the NorthBrook store. I was unable to purchase a mattress because they didn't have any available. I did pay an additional fee for inside delivery and setup was included disassembly of the old bed. The store staff assured me that their employees would do the setup and delivery. I booked a delivery appointment for ten days in the future so I could be the first delivery of the day. The store clerk told me that I would get a text message the night before as confirmation. No confirmation came. The delivery day I tried to use their internet system to see the status. All the online system gave me was the delivery was scheduled for today, no time given. I called their customer service 1 800 number and waited a little over 30 to speak to a women who was unable to tell me any information about the delivery. At 3:00 pm I get a call out of the blue from a delivery service that they will be at my house in ten minutes. Luckily I was home. A third party delivery service came but said that they do not do full inside setup because the store had not paid for it. I contacted the Northbrook store and spoke to a woman who said she was a manager. She looked up my order and said that the associate who placed my order was new and not fully trained. She said she was sorry that what I was told was wrong. I asked her what she was going to do about it and she said "nothing." "If you don't want it return it. She would give me a partial refund" So I ask the delivery service to unpack the bed to see if it is all there. We found missing pieces, no slats or mountings. So I paid $3,000.00 for a bed on the northshore only to find that the women that work at Northbrook Court Crate and Barrel do whatever it takes to make a sale, including lying about services paid for and products offered. BEWARE.

They hv the store set up for fall already and everything is gorgeous and clean looking. White white white and light wood. Very refreshing looking. What a treat. I'd love to redo my whole place. Just beautiful. I think it's good value for such special looks. Lots of shapes on sofas and of course the service is superb. Dealing with them for years. Pretty bathroom looks and everything u need in the kitchen from soup to nuts.

This Crate and Barrel is one of my favorite stores to visit on weekends. They have a large space with great selection of kitchen and furniture items. We can often find nice pieces or good deals here. The staff is always helpful and attentive, making your shopping experience enjoyable.

Maggie was wonderful. She helped me pick out a nice wood table. Delivery within 10 days. Messages on day of delivery regarding status and time were great. Right on schedule. Two delivery guys were polite fast and friendly. Will shop here again.

Poor customer service on return of shower gift with receipt. Manager unfriendly or helpful. I usually get good service in Northbrook.

This rating and review is only for the in-store experience. My purchase will be reviewed on the cb website.Overall in-store experience was surprisingly well. My husband and I were greeted upon entering the store. We immediately asked for the restroom because really, who can shop while holding their bladder? The employee directed us with multiple options to get there. Take the elevator or escalator upstairs and its in the far back corners next to the clearance furniture. Restrooms are clean, so that's a plus. The store is clean and neatly organized with larger pieces of furniture upstairs and the smaller appliances and decor downstairs. Fun appliance sold here is an ice maker that makes the ice similar to the Chick Fil A ice. Go try some, its near the register downstairs with infused water. We were asked if we needed assistance multiple times throughout our walk around the store. We were greeted more downstairs than upstairs. Maybe I just looked like I wasn't there to buy furniture that day? The last employee assisted us with our pick up order. She tried to remember how to spell my last name without writing it down. I started to count down when she would come back to me requesting my order number and how to spell my name again. The 2nd time around she had pen and paper. Our package was located with ease and we picked up via curbside. A gentleman placed the package in our trunk for us. No lifting required for us. Overall, clean store with friendly staff. I'd come back to shop.

they don't keep their promiseI ordered a bed and waited 7 months
