Called to make an appointment to reset login and password after my account got transferred. Had to do this because it could not be done over the phone. The person I spoke w was unable to make an appointment with me for this. I gave hiim my phone and asked him to leave a voice mail message. Won’t be surprised if I have to call back. Does this sound like they are organized and concerned about customer service?

Do not use them. They hold your money transfer from a reputable institution for over a week so they can collect the interest which adds up to millions of dolllars per year for them. Stick with other banks.

I had such a great experience working with Sagar Sheth on my retirement plans. Sagar was knowledgeable and patient, answering all of questions, making me feel very comfortable with information that I am not all that knowledgeable about. I know that I’m in good hands with the staff at this particular Schwab location. Kathy Borkovec was also a huge help with getting things started. The communication from Sagar and Kathy was extremely impressive, and I highly recommend their services.

I had such a great experience rolling my 401K accounts into an IRA with the help of Sagar Sheth. Being a novice in regards to investments and retirement planning, stocks, etc., he took the time to explain things, help set up my account, and was extremely patient with all my questions. I highly recommend this Schwab location and the professionalism and knowledge of Sagar. See Kathy Borkovec also. I highly recommend THIS location! I had some troubles getting called back to set up an appointment from other branches, but Kathy returned my call quickly and started the ball rolling. Sagar took over from there and I felt very at ease knowing that they were both on top of things...being there to assist potential new clients. I'm exceptionally pleased with the service, and will continue to be a client (and recommend them/this branch) to others. Thank you, Sagar/Kathy!

My father and I spoke with Kathy Borkovec at this Northbrook location regarding some retirement planning questions we had (rolling over a 401k to an IRA, questions about beneficiaries and what was allowed due to the secure act, among other items). Kathy was very knowledgeable and patient throughout our interaction. She made us feel comfortable and was very thorough in answering our questions. We would gladly work with her again in the future.

After my divorce, I got$86K from my former husband 401K. I friend of mine told me about Charles Schwab's investment company. Adding that he made good money on his investments.

The "experts" here are quite condescending. They also kept asking me if I looked information up on the website and tried to enter applications on the website; which I had done and tried to do so, but had additional questions and was asking for help. It is quite frustrating to try to visit an office for help (I was working on a complex trust account), only to be told to call different 800 numbers and try again on the website. Isn't it their job to assist customers who are willing to come into an office to get help? I literally got the response from one "financial manager" of, "I don't have the time to hold your hand through this process, I'm not the expert, so just call our XXX department." Another customer service/receptionist kept lecturing me that your account website ID was case sensitive; and insisted that I was causing problems because I was not logging in with my ID in the correct case. I demonstrated to her that you could login with any case on the ID and explained that she was perhaps talking about the password, and she said, "that's not right, IDs are case sensitive!" I gave up at this office and will consider either going to a different office, or changing my brokerage firm....idiots here!

DONT BOTHER TALKING TO CHUCK OR JENNIFER! I transferred several accounts to Schwab. Evangi the broker I was assigned to in the Northbrook office was very accommodating at first and offered to beat everything I had at previous broker and offered free trades for a year to transfer $500K over and offer to beat the pleged asset line rate somehow even though I didn't know what the rate even was?. Long story short I immediately was charged for trades which when I called he offered to get corrected. I received a letter stating free trades for 60 days and I again contacted Evangi to correct via phone message and email. I made the mistake of throwing the folder with his promises handwritten away. I got no response so I went in and found out that he was transferred to another office. After contacting the branch manager I was contacted by Jennifer who offered me 75 free trades which I declined as it was not what was originally promised. She later raised it to 100 and did not care what I was actually promised and said take it or leave it. So much for customer service!... After all of this I wish I had left my account with the other broker at least there I had an account rep that would do what they say and actually call you back. Apparently there is no one above Jennifer to appeal to. It is the principle that Scwab is wiling to let their reps tell you whatever they want to get you in the door but then don't do what they say!. I did not receive any of the financial advice they offered day one nor has another account rep been assigned to me. I will be re-opening an account with my previous broker and will transfer back since I don't feel that I have been treated fairly by Schwab. Think if it all worth it before talking to CHUCK!

Since my post I was contacted by Schwab and they admitted that they did not pay personal attention to my case and pleads, so they reversed the erroneous fees. In the end we part as friends, I appreciate the effort. Thanks
