It’s been almost 2 hours of me trying to get a hold of someone and no one answers the phone. They messed up my glasses and it’s almost a month and they still aren’t ready and the rude representative has the most unpleasant attitude. It’s not my fault !

Terrible service from the receptionist, either they don’t know what they’re doing or they treated us bad out of spite. My boyfriend comes in for a eye exam and contact fittings. However things start going bad when the receptionist tells us this high number of copay… plus a mandatory Retina exam that is meant for all new patients. This expensive exam was another addition, for only to get this bootleg pictures of his retinas in under 15min he did everything… yikes. When we proceed to check out we ask for the pricing for a 3 month($100) contact and a 6 month ($200) contact supply. Instead she proceeded to tell him the whole amount and not the amount after our insurance, since we have a $150 coverage for contacts. All this information should be available to them, and should reflect when we ask questions like those. Obviously we didn’t get the option to buy the contacts because $100+ was out of the question. His mom proceeded to call the office and ask why we paid for a contact fitting without putting fresh contacts in his eye? She proceeded to ask her why when her son is checking out nobody gave him his samples? And ask her again why did we pay $60 for the doctor to check his contacts when he didn’t do that in the first place. Instead of apologizing and trying to explain herself the receptionist just kept repeating that his samples can be picked up. Livid about the situation, she asked to speak to the doctor, but She said the doctor does not have any time to talk to her. So she asked to speak to a manager or his manager because this is absolutely ridiculous but of course the manager is on vacation…. If you are a new client, please be aware of the retina exam that is mandatory and make sure you know your coverage because apparently they can’t do their job properly. So you have to remind them how to do their job. Very disappointed.

I went to check on my new glasses and was told to get bifocals and my vision from far doesn't need it and the reading part I can't even read with them on and because they have a new employee I have to waste my time to go back and get my money back wasted 2 visit never again. I HAD TO COME BACK TO GET MY RECIPE AND MY EYE EXAM PAPER AND I WAS BLAMED BY THE MANGER THAT ITS MY FAULT WHEN I Can't see through the glass how wonderfully it's know my fault never again and did not receive my full refund

Hello I visited the visionworks eye care at their north riverside location, and had the best experience by far. The check in was fast, the exam was very fast and had a great selection of Eyewear all at a great price.

We had three appointments for my husband, my son and myself. We were greeted with smiles and taken care of quickly.Dr Castro was friendly and kind. Answered all of our questions and provided us with options.Cynthia helped us choose our glasses, answered our questions and provided insurance information. In all this experience was great. We were in and out quickly after accomplishing what we needed to: getting eye exams and having our new glasses ordered.We definitely recommend this location to all of our friends and family and will be back.

This rating is based on my overall experience at this location and as a first time customer with Visionworks. The girls at the counter greeted me as soon as i walked, asked how they could assist me. The buy one get one free offer very misleading, you have to remember, when doing business with chains, it all about profit and cant be trusted nor reliable. I was told the offer was for cash customers and not with insurance. I used my insurance and they verified my benefits, and already knew how much i was covered. Valeria Castro O.D was very nice and friendly, made the exam very comfortable, I wish I had the girls name that greeted me and did the retinal screening, she was really nice. What I did not like, which I hope the gentleman at the counter, is not the manager, was having personal conversation on the phone, calling friend and making plans. If this is a manager that is having personal conversations on the phone while having customers in the showroom, shows disrespect the the employees and customer, one rotten apple can spoil the others. If i do decide to come back here, would be for the service the young lady and the O.D. not for the manager, if i would walk in and see him, I would walk right out.
