I just paid $230 and my hair stop at my neck. I told the lady Jo Jo I did like my hair this is too short for the amount of money I paid. Of course everyone in the shop looking crazy. My hair look like I got kinky twist instead of knotless braids. The rules clearly says if a client does not like their hair within a week they will fix it. This was just terrible. I do not like my hair at all.

Save yourself time and money. I should have read the reviews before going to this place. Nothing but issues starting from when I came in at 7:20am. Their customer service is horrible. After all.of my years of going to African braid shops, this is the worst. No actual seating area chairs scattered everywhere and you really don't know where you could sit. In addition, I called to make an appointment and they said first come first serve however I noticed someone came after me and got in the chair and when I asked the hairstylist about it, she said the person had an appointment??? They sign says they take credit cards so I wanted to pay by card but the stylist told me to go to the nearby ATM machine and leave my 8yr old daughter like she was collateral (very crazy and disgusting). Last, after explaining and showing the stylist pictures of how I wanted my daughter's hair done, she still did it wrong (I was at another booth getting my hair done so I couldn't see). I literally asked her if she was sure she knew what she was doing and she told me she did. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, one of the other stylist told me that they choose to do the style the way THEY think is best. But I explained that I'm a paying customer and they are suppose to provide the service I asked. Please do not go to this place.

Horrible customer service. They talk about you in French and they have roaches. Not everyone in the salon can braid. Highly don’t recommend!

Have been coming here for years last appointment they didn’t do my hair they way I asked now I come today with my mom (Fordcity location)and they did her hair all work refused to fix the issue if I’m paying for a service I expect what I asked for will not be going to this establishment anymore

This place is disturbing its babies everywhere toys on the floor it’s dirty and it smells bad the women have very bad attitudes very unprofessional I went in to ask a few questions the lady act like she was upset because I was asking about a hairstyle so I won’t be returning .

Never again will I attend this shop they totally unprofessional and rude as hell..Never go to the women with the bald fade she took 8 hours and was rude..then they have you do there job by separating the hair. She kept dropping the comb on the floor just nasty. Hell naw Never again.Service: Braids

Wasted time going back and forth to the salon for only not to be able to get my hair done. Made appointment week in advance told that had appointment, at 7:30. I called told them that I was running few minutes late was advise that the braider is still waiting for me. When I arrive there was no braider waiting to do my hair, reach out to manager was told at that time, no real appointments, walk in only. Mind you they carried game of appointment up till the time I was suppose to be seen. At point, I was upset still willing to wait. I was told eventually by one of the ladies that I can be seen at their other location right away.Drove to North Riverside Mall, only to encounter very rude nasty women that had no clue, what was going on. I contacted the other location and they told me that the manager is coming with the hair to do my hair in a few minutes. The manager arrived apologize for the inconvenience. At this time the manager attempted to find a braider at this location to do my hair. Manager was unable to find a braider that can braid with the hair I am using. Finally, no one available to do the hair. TOTAL WASTE OF MORNING! If you value your time and honest business practice, go somewhere else.

Poor wacked service,especially Whinny!!She lied and said she can do crochet braids and can't!!!They refuse to give the owner's name,but it's ok!!I called my attorney!!Never will go back to the one in Northriverside Mall!!Garbage!!!!The last picture is what she said she could do that style!!She told me my hair looks like that style ,just longer !!I will never go back there again!!!??

My stylist Mama,does an excellent job. This is my third time visiting this salon and each time I am happy with my results. I people watch so I see that all the braiders do a good job. I would recommend.

If you can deal with babies all over...and beauticians talking about you in a foreign language...(and yes.. they're talking about you) then you'll be ok. Braids were symmetrical and ok for the price.

This place is dirty, and filthy. I noticed that they dont clean their combs. They use the same filthy comb (with noticeable dandruff and debris) without cleaning it. Notice, that there are no containers of sterilization solutions on the stations or nearby. I complained when a supposely stylist attempted to use a filthy comb in my hair. It was so noticeably dirty. She went to the reception desk and sprayed the combs, and wiped them. (After instructing her, on how to use the comb on my hair, it was discovered that she wasn't an stylist, and only trying to fill-in, until a stylist arrived. Another long story, I digress. My complaint set the tone of my hair experience for this day. They began talking loudly in French. I was moved to three different stations, whereas two was dirty, with crumbs of food and unrecognizable dirt and smudges. Their children are present, and only become irritable when made to sit for long period of times. No toys are presnt or attention provided to the children, unless for an occasional diaper change, meal or snack. They speak loudly in French amongst themselves but you can tell by their body language, stares and tones of voices, exchanges that something is wrong. You must pay first, ($220). I complained; so my style ending up being a disaster. They laughed and giggled in my face, when I complained. There's no point of complaining, afterwards because you're outnumbered. Intimidation. I noticed that something was up because when she finished, the room got quiet and all eyes were on me. I took the Michelle Obama approach, as they giggled amongst themselves. I complained to the woman in charged. I showed her pictures of me with the style before and after. She stated that she saw nothing wrong. I've seen some beautiful hair styles, come out of this "joint". I haven't been here in over three years. The staff that I'm familiar, was not there, They can do good work. (two, far back stations. near the mall's windows). Why do we accept and allow filthy and dirty places like this in our communities.

Sherri was great. I called ahead and no waiting when I got there. They immediately got me in and out. My braids look great.
