I am so thankful for my daughter's time at Montessori Children's House. During her 3 years there, my daughter blossomed from a shy 3 year old into a confident 6 year old ready to help her classmates and transition into her next school. I have no doubt that MCH had a hand in that. She looked forward to going to school every day and developed a love of learning during her time there. My daughter experienced both preprimary teachers-both are amazing and bring different gifts to the table. The teachers at this school are compassionate, understanding, and really love the children.

In regards to the teaching staff, I do believe they care about the growth of the child; however, this is the least flexible school for scheduling purposes and only seems to care about money. As well, they change programs without notice and are not up front with changes to the parents.

My 2 brothers and I are MCHNB alumnus, so it was only natural that our 2 sons would attend preschool here! I always feel that my sons are in the best of hands; I have never doubted their safety or whether they were receiving a quality education. The teachers are so patient and are very good with encouragement of creativity and learning.Thank you for all you do!

Hands down the best decision for my children! MCHNB fosters personal growth in my youngsters, giving them the tools needed for self guided learning advancement. This is not just a 'school' this is practical living skills that children 'work' on, that carries them through life. Make every effort to be involved with the education they offer, it is an eye opening experience!! They give your child the best start, we owe it to our children to learn how it all comes full circle!!

Our daughter has been attending Montessori Children’s House of North Barrington since the beginning of this year and we could not be happier with our experience. It is clear from all of our interactions with the teachers and staff that they truly love the little people that they nurture, guide and care for on a daily basis. The teachers are very experienced and have been amazing resources, providing regular feedback on our daughter’s development as well as helpful advice on any challenges we might be facing at home (potty training, sleep, etc.). Thanks to their emphasis on encouraging independence, we’ve enjoyed seeing our daughter learn and grow and take great pride in all of the things that she can now do on her own (“I do myself mama” is what she usually says enthusiastically). We also love the vast outdoor space and all of the learning opportunities that it provides for our daughter – from helping to plant and tend to the vegetable garden, to feeding and caring for the chicken. MCHNB is such a perfect fit for our daughter and our family. When our second child is old enough, we will be sending him to the school as well.
