Horrible experience. We went for free screening and we were tricked into signing some financial disclosure forms and to do an evaluation instead of screening. They charged $350 to the insurance company for a 40 min to an hour session. Also really bad location just go to the advocate which is further south on rand road aka 12

Spoke with Michael for 15 minutes on the phone confirming insurance for a PT eval for my daughter. We scheduled an 8AM appointment and arrive... Lights are on, doors are locked, no one is picking up the phone. They also have no hours listed on their website, so did he schedule us when they aren’t open? I see another review that this happened to them too. Unprofessional and a waste of our time as full-time first-responders with a 6-month baby. Don’t even bother and go somewhere else.

Had a very poor experience here. Brought my son for an OT evaluation due to some sensory issues, show up at 8 a.m. (after getting a sitter for my other children) to find out they have no record of our appointment. They apologized and did their best to accommodate us at that time. By the end of the very expedited appointment I come to find out that our insurance is in network with their Elgin location NOT the Barrington location. They said all the right things and scheduled us to come in the next week to finish the evaluation. We go, and during the evaluation I mention to the therapist that all the tests they’re doing are for fine and gross motor and our concerns were about sensory issues. She acknowledges the question but doesn’t address it. Ok.... I’m told she’ll put together a report to review and make a recommendation. A week goes by, two, and I hear nothing. So, I call. I’m given a whole thing about people taking vacation blah blah blah but punchline- they recommend OT. I make an appointment. We go as scheduled... again, they have no record of our appointment. I was furious but gathered my three children and left. I receive an apology via text, I reply that I want to see the final evaluation report. After several hours I get a response that they didn’t actually finish the evaluation last time. Are you fricking kidding me!?!? So yeah, perhaps the therapists are in fact good at what they do but I wouldn’t go back even if they offered me services for free.
