BEETLES IN DOG FOOD: I bought two 40lb bags of Dog Food (~$150) about two months ago. 6 weeks later both bags were bursting at the seems with beetles. By the time I noticed them (having never seen this before) they were in a full blown infestation. I identified the beetle (they were Copra Beetles) by their metallic blue/green shimmer. These beetles are picked up in warehouse conditions and love to eat dry goods. I called Petco about the beetles and they said they wouldn't do anything for me since the purchase had been over a month ago. I contacted Purina and they did right by me. I've been buying my food elsewhere since and I will never return to this Petco location. I buy from a Geneva Petco that's a bit closer. They were mortified when I called to ask them if they stocked the Dog Food that my dog eats and she even said "We don't usually give refunds for other stores but I think, under the circumstances..." I cut her off there. Purina already made everything right but do not buy food from the Petco in North Aurora until they fix this problem. The bugs can chew through the tough bags and one female can lay up to 2000 eggs so if just one made it into your bag at the petco store room, they'll take 35-120 days to grow up (depending on temp, hot makes them go faster) and for you to notice the notice the beetles that you've got running around. DO NOT BUY FOOD FROM HERE

I went to get my dog her annual rabies shot at Petco/Vetco. I’ve been going to Vetco since my dog was a puppy, she is now 4 years old. To begin with Dr. Angela Demaree was very rude and not helpful. I needed my service animal paper work filled out for my apartment. She proceeds to tell me that she wasn’t able to fill out my paper work, (which I know she was able to, because I’ve gotten the paper work filled out before). She then proceeds to tell me that she charges to fill out paperwork. I’ve NEVER heard of that before in my life, and I’ve been going to Petco/Vetco for 4 years.. I felt like she was being biased and didn’t want to help me. Never heard of business charging customers to fill out important paperwork. I will not be returning back to this location.

Their groomers are the best we've found in the area. Price is about the same as other places but they're much faster and quality is great. We had issues where another local groomer injured our dog twice (cuts) but have had no issues here and have been going here for years now!

I give this place 2 stars because they have what I need usually when I don't have time to order from Chewy. I will not be bringing my dog here for grooming anymore. It was great a couple years ago but the last few times have gone down hill and the customer service is very poor. I watched a groomer be extremely rude to a customer in front of me. That should have been my queue to leave. After our last visit, my dog came home acting strange and a few days later very sick. My dog has NEVER been sick. I won't be using this groomer anymore and seldom will shop here too.

I brought my senior dog in for a bath this week and was called 10 minutes after leaving to be told his small feet got stuck in the grate they stand on for the bath, his feet were hurt in the process, and while trying to get him out they say he “bit his own ear” and his ear was bleeding profusely. HIS EAR IS NOT EVEN LONG ENOUGH TO REACH HIS MOUTH. The female manager rolled her eyes and tried to shrug it off as an accident. When I returned to get my other dog, the other associate was much more friendly and offered to pay for the vet bills. Not sure why an associate had the guts to say that but the manager was too proud to admit fault. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR PETS. I will never let them hurt another one of my animals.

This is the second time I had to reschedule my dogs grooming because it’s booked at a late time that they had available! At this point I feel like it’s because the groomers want to keep leaving early. They called TWICE two different appointments and said “ someone canceled is there anyway you could come in earlier ? “ I tell them no because I don’t have transportation until 6 and then they tell me I have to reschedule! So inconsiderate!!!

BRITTANY IS HORRIBLE. She cut no 1 but 2 legs, my puppy was bleeding and with no hair, I have a standard doodle and I ALWAYS brush and comb her and this lady said she was matted it’s no way. this is the 2nd time Brittany ruined her hair. The first time she shaved her ears I gave her the benefit of the doubt but again? It’s no way. This lady has no patience with big dogs, my puppy is really sweet and has a good behavior. I should have known since my baby got so nervous when she saw this lady for the 2nd time, she felt her bad intentions and didn’t want to go with herAnd she waited until 15 min before the store closed to call me and asked me to hurry up because they were about to close when I dropped her off at 2pm… she had my baby for about 5 hrsAnd plus she is a liar? she told us her manager told her to shave my puppy and when we asked the manager she said that wasn’t true!!! ?I’m so upset because we didn’t have any issues before with Candy, she’s the best we have been taking my baby with her for a year and we have no issues, Hazel loves Candy, she has done a great job every time we bring Hazel in

Visited this location for the first time last night and was disgusted by the restroom cleanliness. More so, that there was no working sink to wash hands!!! The toilet bowl interior hasn’t been cleaned in months, if not longer.On the flip side, there was a groomer onsite (PM) with brown hair - she was so sweet and watching her groom another pup made our night! She got attacked by poodle kisses and was having as much fun as the pup.
