I recently hit a pothole in my 1969 Buick and cracked the windshield down the middle. The Michelle Lemrise-Hall agency had a mobile glass installer booked with the correct vintage glass the next day. Michelle and Nancy make the process of filing an auto insurance claim very easy.

Michelle’s office went above and beyond for us!Earlier this year our previous insurance carrier informed our HOA they would not be renewing our policy, an experience we have in common with many of our Chicago neighbors in older buildings. We struggled to find an alternative, but Michelle’s office pulled out all the stops for us, and thanks to their dedication and professionalism were able to transfer over to a new policy without a lapse in coverage. Their commitment to their customers is evident in their work, and we can't thank them enough.

I've had insurance with Michelle Lemrise at Illinois Farmers for over a decade. Perhaps 15 years.I haven't spoken with her in somewhere around two years. Every time I call the office I get her mother, Nancy. Every time I am told Michelle is unavailable. So, not sure if Michelle still works in insurance or if her mom just handles it all? I really don't know. All I can tell you is I've asked to speak with her when I've called (as she's my agent) several times in the last two years & she has never been available.Moving on. I recently bought a new home. Was required to pay homeowners insurance for a year in advance. Not a problem. Done.A couple months after closing I got a letter from Illinois Farmers that I needed to physically sign a piece of paper agreeing that I had this insurance (that I'd already paid for, in full, for the year.) I called the office to question what this was as I've never had to sign a piece of paper in the decade plus of having BOTH homeowners & auto insurance with Farmers/Michelle Lemrise. Mostly I just wanted to verify this letter was legit and that I should sign & return it.I talked to Nancy, (it should be obviously by now that Michelle was not available.) Nancy said oh yeah, we need a signature. I asked why as I'd never had to sign & mail things before & she answered it was due to computers. Uh, okay. Fine. I signed the paper & mailed it. That was Dec 30, 2021.On January 12th I called the office to verify everything was okay. I reached out on my end, just to verify, because honestly I'm not sure if Michelle even exists anymore or what is going on. But the entire thing made me nervous. I wanted to ensure I had homeowners insurance. You know, the insurance I'd already paid a year in advance. No surprises coming here, I talked to Nancy. Nancy was leaving the office early, but she'd look into it tomorrow she told me. I didn't believe her, so I left myself a note to follow up again.On January 18th, I called the office again. Again - talked to Nancy. Nancy said the system was down & she'd have to call me back. Okay. In a shocking twist, Nancy DID call me back. She said they never received the signed paper & I'd need to print another copy, sign it & she'd come pick it up. Okay... that's pretty nice.Until this evening when I opened my mail and found a notice of cancellation on my homeowners insurance for the new house I just purchased. And a refund check. Cancellation reason: "No signed subscription agreement."So. After a decade, perhaps 15 years I'm not sure, of doing business with Michelle Lemrise at Illinois Farmers, they cancelled my homeowners policy because they were missing a signed agreement from me. A signed agreement that I mailed. And one that I followed up on twice. They never once followed up with me. I reached out to them TWICE to ensure everything was okay.Please beware when doing business with Michelle Lemrise of Illinois Farmers.
