I had an appointment for tire installation at another place (that's another review entirely... pun intended) set for 9:00am on Saturday morning. I got an email Friday night "be sure you're on time for your appointment tomorrow" blah blah blah. Yeah ok. I woke up Saturday morning to an email from that place telling me they'd cancelled my appointment and offered no alternatives. Who does that?
ANYWAY... I don't drive much, I work at home so I'm home most of the time, and my wife has her car as well, so usually being down one car isn't a problem, but a day like today, when both of us need to be places, this raises an issue. I certainly hadn't planned on picking up that screw and getting a flat and needing a new tire this week, but hey! Things happen. I thought I had this set away until this morning.
So here I am, it's 7:00am and I'm in my kitchen having coffee and needing a new tire and installation... I took to Google.
This Firestone was not only local (less than 10 minutes from my house), but they're OPEN at 7:00am. I call in, I explain what's up, and how I'm kinda in a bind and the guy on the phone with me is like "yeah man, we got you... come on down" He told me 8:30am. Cool, I can rock that.
I leave my house at 8:15 (punctual is my middle name), get there, go in. I talk to the service mgr. who shows me the two tire options, I pick one and give him my keys. Shortly after, they'd gotten my car into the bay and were getting on it.
A little while later, dude comes back "hey, you're all set." What?? man, that was fast!!! I pay and I go back home. I was back home at 9:18am. An hour and three minutes on next to zero notice, and my car is back to 100% operational capacity, now THAT'S amazing service.
I pull into the driveway at home, and I was going to secure the spare under the surface in the trunk before parking it in the garage, and I see the tech did that too!! Dude... that isn't much, that's a small gesture, but man, I appreciate that.
Today was my first time transacting business with this location, though I've lived here in North Aurora for eight years now, and I've driven past this place literally hundreds of times, and I gotta say, I'm impressed. Thank you for the professionalism, the service and getting the job done in a very timely manner.
