8354 W Foster Ave, Norridge“The absolute Best! I rented everything from track saws to carpenters squares in order to make a home improvement project possible. Not only did they have all of the things I needed, they have an amazing knowledgable staff that really cares about the success of your project. This should be your first stop in any project.”
“I just left The Waste Shed and it was one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. I'm autistic and have become more and more homebound as the years have passed but I asked to come here for mother's day. The store is a crafty person's theme park. It's filled to the brim with anything and everything you could dream of. My budget was miniscule but I was able to afford a rare treat of craft supplies. The staff is kind and patient. I'm going to make a bigger effort to come out because it's a treasure , thank you The Waste Shed!”

“This is such a great community for anyone who is looking for support, mentorship, resources and new friends when starting or growing their small business. Dani has been an amazing support and cheerleader and curates events that are instrumental in helping businesses grow and showcase their products to the best audiences. Thanks for all the work you do, Hatchery!”
“Casa hosted my aunt's 90th birthday party for around 100 people. They were so accomodating, and made my aunt feel like a princess - tiara and all. The space was very homey, and Casa arranged the catering, photographers, and musician. My family has been going to events at their beautiful grounds for at least 60 years. There always seems to be some type of festive event going on. It is a hidden gem.”

I have been there since August of last year for wrestling events with a friend of mine and we enjoy it every single time we go. There is never a dull moment and the people there are always incredibly nice and kind.”

1000 Grove St, Evanston“I love the variety here. The 6 lane pool is the appropriate temperature for a workout, but if you prefer warmer the 4 lane is there. Clean locker rooms, steam and dry sauna, plus extensive weight room and cardio equipment for whatever you need. The staff is great, and it's super queer and gender inclusive. Just wish there was a punching bag!”

“This HAS to become better organized. One person is let in, 8-10 minutes later the next person is let in. 2 hours and 45 minutes to move up a line the length of 4 storefronts.I used to volunteer at the Foster location, where people were guided through the sections, picked things out, and everyone was able to proceed in a steady flow.God bless the volunteers, I am happy to have food when I don't know how I'm going to make rent, but has this problem been noticed as a real concern, and addressed at all?”
“What an organisation! From health services, including a world-class EMS to food for the needy to employment services and a long, long list of many other community services. They are incredible!”

“Did an online auction with Ian. He was very responsive & patient with me. Especially since this was the first auction I did with him. I'm very happy as a bidder. It was also pretty cool to see an old MJ bball card go for 25k on the webcast!”
“Not only are the staff AWESOME, but this whole organization is so wholesome! Made my first donation yesterday and will definitely be back later this week to donate many more things. I was told social workers come everyday to "shop" (pick out what's needed). All I needed to do was complete a SHORT google from, took less than 5 minutes.”

“We are appreciated to this organization, especially to Christine, Monika and Tina. These women helped my family with temporary housing, to find place for rent. It took some time but helped us, and all your staff was kind to us. Thanks! Also we've got some food from their food pantry.”

“Located in a large modern architectural building in the Chicago neighborhood, Lawndale, BBF is very welcoming. They offer so many important services in this low-income community. -Social programs, academic tutoring, emotional health services and career development opportunities. When I was asked to volunteer at a city wide "baby shower" and toy giveaway, I knew immediately that I wanted to do it. Spending my day greeting expectant mothers and children who were anxious to pick out toys, I was so glad to be a part of the event. I knew that Lawndale had a lot of gun violence, but I still met way more young pregnant mothers who had just recently lost their partners to it than I expected. Way more. Gun violence and poverty is a serious threat to this community, so organizations like Building Brighter Futures are so needed. The event held here was pretty amazing. Not only were there tons of brand new baby clothing, but there were also new strollers, pack-n-plays, and breast pumps. They had free toys for kids and they had massage therapists on site who were offering free prenatal massages for the expectant mothers. It was truly wonderful to see so many people come together to help some of the most vulnerable people in this community. -women and children. This is a great organization to consider if you're wanting to donate time and money to something of real value.”
“Such a community gem. I’ve loved the different workshops I’ve attended. I appreciate being able to buy materials from the warehouse - which provides affordable materials and keeps them out of the landfills. Their job force training has been life changing for my son and others.”
“Very nice staff here. Get you unloaded quick. Tight to get into dock number 2 but as long as your patience and know what you're doing. You'll be fine, reciver give you a radio to help back in. I didn't hear him once so I guess I did good. Watch for low bridge's in the area.”
“Great facility and dedicated staff. They helped me adopt out three feral kittens. Each kitten had health issues and CARE paid all the vet bills. Everyone was incredibly supportive.”

222 Waukegan Rd, Glenview“Super helpful amd friendly staff. Due to COVID they do restrict number of people entering building. Dr was great at explaining my father's condition and hopefully got through to him. Great information on their services. So glad we were able to get an appointment earlier rather than having to wait for the new year.”
“I have been going for years. Everyone is welcome, including all religious backgrounds, ethnicities, races, genders, ages, and more. Many opportunities for learning and practicing positive life changing skills. Meditation and nice people too. Many events, presentations, and classes. No pressure. Also no prerequisites to participate in most events. Retreats for people ready for a more immersive experience happen throughout the year on various dates.”
“My Dad served honorably in WWII. A member of "the greatest generation" he was a great man and beloved by many, not only his family but community also.I don't know how I could have gotten through his funeral day without the respect and acknowledgment that came from beyond our family's mourning. The armed servicemen in uniform that saluted his flag draped casket as he was carried past them to his final resting place and their beautiful folding of the flag and presenting it to my Mom was so uniting. It really made one feel that our Country cared for its Servicemen even so many decades later. But most of all I thank Tom Day and his Bugles Across America. The volunteer who came and performed Taps was an excellent musician. That day we were especially blessed as the funeral home had also arranged for the Servicemen I mentioned and they too by chance, planned to play Taps. Our family was so so touched and surprised when Taps was played echo style by the two buglers. That beautiful and well deserved tribute to my father meant the world to my Mom and our family and we speak of it often. Bugles Across America is a wonderful organization with wonderful volunteers that at a very short notice give comfort and inspiration at a time most needed. I support them whole-heartedly.”
“I’m not usually one to write google reviews but I cannot emphasize enough how great an experience I had here. I came in not knowing exactly what I was looking for and Anthony helped me figure it out! He is so knowledgeable and clearly passionate about bikes. I had a lot of questions and he answered all of them confidently and concisely. I really felt like he wasn’t just trying to sell me something but wanted to make sure I was making the right choice for me. I tested three bikes and after the third bike I knew I liked the first one best and he had me test ride it one more time to make sure. He also helped me get the accessories I needed. The after purchase tune up policy is also really generous so I will definitely be back in to get everything checked out. The conversations we had even not about bikes were great! I’m super happy with my new bike and I’ll definitely be getting all my repairs done here.”
“Nice and genuine people.Everyone is very helpful and kind. I go there on every Monday and Wednesday. It's really fun and new learnings. Hats off to their work”
