““It’s Schnucks… what a funny name, and what a glorious store.”
Walking into the Schnucks in Normal, Illinois feels like stepping into a Midwestern food wonderland. Need the makings of a St. Louis–style pizza? They’ve got everything—from Provel cheese (that mysterious, melty cousin of Velveeta) to thin crusts that snap like a cracker. And if you’re not feeling like channeling your inner Imo’s chef, they even stock frozen St. Louis–style pizzas ready to go.
The store itself is clean, well-stocked, and easy to navigate. The staff? Midwest nice to the core—you half expect them to apologize if you bump into them. And the name alone, Schnucks, sounds like a cartoon sidekick or something you’d yell when you stub your toe. “SCHNUCKS!” Try saying it without smiling. Can’t be done.
So yeah, it’s a grocery store… but it’s OUR grocery store. And when a craving for that gooey, unmistakably St. Louis pizza hits, Schnucks in Normal has your back. Funny name, serious pizza game”

“Aldi has some really great products and some good prices. I shop there every week when grocery shopping. Not every location has self checkout, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Don't forget to bring your reusable bags or grab a few more while your there. You're going to need them.”
“Despite being super busy the people stocking were extremely helpful finding what we needed. If I lived closer I would regularly shop here because everyone was super nice.”
“Love the Osco on S Cottage Ave in Normal, because of its professional, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff, some of whom have been there for years and they know me by name. I get my annual vaccinations there too. This is a dependably well-run pharmacy.”

“Great selection of spices and rices and more at low prices. When my significant other is making Indian food, it's not uncommon for me to quickly grab something needed from here. I'm in and out super quick so I don't mind going.”
“Nice little place. New store but still has good prices and an excellent assortment of items to choose from while shopping. The staff are very friendly and are always busy stocking shelves or cleaning. The aisle layout is very different from the other stores but not hard to remember.”
“I come to this store at least once a week because it's close to my house and I always forget something when getting groceries.
So this store is pretty much doing the best that it can with what it's got. Some of the employees are pretty rude, some are very friendly. I think there are only like 2 employees on a shift at a time, probably hard to find people to work a job like that. They usually have what I need. There's usually at least one rude customer there everytime I'm in and I feel for the staff having to deal with that.”
“Called the store to see if they had needohs, and the man working who answered the phone at 11:40 ish on the 25th of February in what i think was the toy section, was the NICEST guy ever! He was happy to inform me needohs were restocked and when i was embarrassingly really excited he didn’t make me feel stupid, and actually was so sweet! Thank you to this man, he made me think very highly of this walmart.”
“I go here often for the Poke Bowl. This one time, someone had already buy the Poke Bowl and lucky for me, the chef was there. I asked him if he could make me one since there was none in the display. He happily agreed and told me it would take 15 minutes. I came back a little later and instead of putting it on the display, he reserved it behind the counter for me. What a nice man! I truly hope this store knows it is very hard to find employees or people like that nowadays, and they are lucky to have this sushi chef working at their store. I really cannot speak for any other aspects of customer service in the store, but I just wanted to share this wholesome interaction I had!”
“The Olive Bin has the best olive oils and balsamic vinegars! I love to gift the orange olive oil with a box of brownie mix! I’m currently enjoying the orange vanilla white balsamic vinegar over vanilla ice cream.”
