I do not recommend doing business with this company. They do not take responsibility for their mistakes, they left us with a damaged pool and a mess to clean up. Very poor communication, did not respond to our inquiries. Refused to refund a $1000 deposit we had on a liner after their actions damaged our pool giving us no use for a liner. The owner John wanted to blame the issue on the way the pool was installed but the pool had been fine for 10 years up until they removed the floor knowing it was going to possibly storm later in the day. It did storm and the wall caved in, not a coincidence.

Edit 08/06. Sometimes balls are just dropped. While we originally felt ignored after reaching out and not getting a call back... after leaving our review, Jon has been coming out regularly to make it right, which means a lot.

I called 5 different pool stores and Etcheson is the only location to have the parts I needed. Prices were good and folks were very helpful.

There aren't many choices for pool technicians in Bloomington Normal, so I imagine this is how they are still in business. Summer #1 - they installed our salt chlorinator upside down and after a summer fighting algae we figured it out. Summer #2 we spent $1800 for repairs on our cover only for it to still not work. And this summer, our new heater, under warranty we purchased from them is broken. Good news though, they can send someone out to look at it in September.

Extremely poor technicians who could Not hook up a simple filter to above ground pool-TWICE!after Even giving them Instruction manual-Cannot fill it due to water running out of hole for one of the tubing lines. Oh and I paid up front for the service.Water is coming out Where HOSE was suppose to go..Again Hooked up wrong. And they had the instruction manual in hand.I have someone else coming to correct it and attach hoses properly.

After two calls to John with no response I decided to post a few pictures of what’s going on so customers can see how they operate. This is the result of my elderly parents having their liner replaced (partially replaced). As you can see a sharp object was left on the floor of the pool and looks to be ready to puncture through the new liner. Along with this and several other issues the liner needs to be secured in the two different locations shown in the pictures. John, stop putting these elderly people through the stress of dealing with your lack of follow up and just finish the job, the right way.Still no response……
