“Angry Wankel exceeded our expectations in every way! A garage that actually has people who are trustworthy, professional, caring and most importantly, looking out for the customer. Allen and Chris, you two absolutely saved us! The family and I were driving to Peoria last Saturday when our alternator belt broke (12:30 pm). We called three dealerships and none of them were able to help us. As we drove back towards Bloomington, we called two independent garages and were greeted with voice mail. We then called Angry Wankel where Allen diagnosed the problem and told us they could take care of the problem. We got to the garage just as the battery died...phew. They gave us a quote and told us it would take about 30 minutes to repair. In order to save us money, Allen drove me to get the belt (it would have cost a little more if he had it delivered) while Chris worked on the vehicle. The repair took a little longer but charging us for that additional time/labor didn't even come up. Allen had quoted us a price and he stuck to it. They wanted to make sure everything was done correctly and most importantly, we would be safe driving back to Champaign. A lot of things could have gone wrong but Allen and Chris took a bad situation and completely turned it around and made it a positive experience. It may sound crazy but I will drive to Bloomington to have my car serviced by Angry Wankel simply because I can trust that they will do the job right and will not take advantage of me. We need more people like Allen and Chris in this world! Hard working, trusting, caring individuals making an effort to help others, not exploit them when their vehicle breaks down or needs service! You guys Rock!”

“Bought some tires at Walmart but they said they couldn’t get the passenger side lug nuts off because the studs were too rusty. Armando’s got the job done in about 5 minutes, and also said my studs weren’t that bad. I’ve been there before for other cars and their used tires are always in great condition and very fairly priced. If they have the inventory it’s definitely worth just buying your set from them.”

“Pulled in to get air for my 5th wheel tires. The techs were happy to fill us up for free. I asked how my tires looked, the tech advised that one of them needed attention soon. Since I was already in the bay they were able to perform the replacement within 15-20 minutes. They gave me options on my choices and explained the differences. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. 5 stars all the way. Highly recommended for your tire needs!”

“I have been going to Midstate for years and have always been pleased with their service. I was especially grateful for their outstanding service on a recent visit. I had been noticing a sound in the rear of my car and after determining it was most likely a wheel bearing issue I called them up to see if they could help last minute before I had to make a long distance trip. Brian, at the front desk, didn't hesitate when I asked if I could bring it in that morning before I left for my trip, and said to bring it on in. When I arrived I was greeted by the new owner, David, who took the time to go test drive the vehicle with me so he could determine what the issue was. He was so kind and professional and explained to me what he thought the issue was and why. As someone who likes to know what's going on, I really appreciated that he took the time to talk with me. When we returned to the shop he hooked my car up to a machine to confirm the issue, and then made room in their busy work schedule that day to do the repair so that I could safely drive 400 miles later that afternoon. The Midstate team went above and beyond in this last minute situation to make sure I had a safe vehicle for traveling, and I will be forever grateful.
