My pillow is soaked with tears as I write this. I've been trying to stop crying, but tears keep rolling down.I've been a Wells Fargo customer for 5 years now. Since the beginning of this year, I've received more than ten letters from Wells Fargo suggesting I should come in and open credit cards attached below because I'm qualified.So yesterday(11/7/23), I went to the bank to open the credit card, but before we started. i gave them a check of $3,300 to deposit into my checking account.Juan Mendez, the banker opening the credit card, within seconds told me it's declined, that I should apply for a secured credit card instead. So I asked him why I had received more than ten letters saying that I was qualified. He kept repeating I should apply for a secured credit card.So I became angry & requested that they should give me back the $3,300 check I just gave them because I want to close all my 3 accounts ( 2 checking and 1 saving accounts)He immediately went and called the manager Ali Salameh, who told me that since the check had touched their hands, it is not coming back to me.That they will go ahead and deposit it into my account. I should come today(11/8/23) and pick up the money, then close my accounts if I still want to. He promised that all the accounts will remain open. So I leftAt 6 a.m. today(11/8/23), before the banks' opening time, I noticed that all my accounts were closed and $380 was withdrawn from my account by an unknown personSo I went to the bank when they opened at 9 am and requested for my money, but they refused to give me even 1 dollar from my account. They said they would prepare a check and send it to the post office.I pleaded that they give me the check instead of posting all my money to the post office since I'm already in the bank and my rent and other bills are due for payment. But they refused. After more than 6 hours of argument, the manager called Nile police and said I was disturbing other customers.Nile police requested that I go to another Wells Fargo branch and see if they can figure it out. So I left and went to Howard branchThere l met another banker and explained everything to him. He was nice . He felt bad about how I was treated. He started making calls to see if he could get approval to pay me back my money.But Nile manager Ali salameh walked into the Howard branch and called Howard police and told this new police to arrest me for disorderly conduct and trespassing, and also ban me from entering any wells Fargo bank.This Howard police did not ask me anything but followed the manager who gave him my name, social security number, home address, and date of birth from my account. He filed exactly what the manager told him to file against meNow, my rent and bills are due , I can't get my money, the police have filed disorderly conduct and trespassing against me, I'm banned from entering Wells Fargo againI'm confused. I don't know where to start.Now, I'm having serious headaches, and these tears will not stop rolling downUpdate:(11/22/23)It's day 15th today, and I still have not received my money. I've been calling the customer service numbers, but it's one story or anotherPlease keep a close eye on your account.The day you choose to close your account, just withdraw all your money before you even mention you want to close your account so you don't go through what I'm going through nowI have received a lot of late payment fees from my unpaid billsIf not that I've been a good tenant to my landlord, by now, I would be in Eviction proceedings. When I explained to my landlord, he agreed to give me more time.

There is a line out the door and yet no extra personal is able to help the customers.. I've been in line for a good 39 minutes... I will be switching my account to another bank.. since this is not the first time it's happened.

Opened a savings account at the Niles branch because the bank was having a promotion to earn $525 if the money was left in for 90 days. Now after 90 days the bank does not want to credit my account because they claim the bank officer opened the account incorrectly. There are notes in my account stating I would get the promotion but the bank does not want to honor their commitment. How can a bank treat it's customers like this?

I opened an account at the Niles branch because Well Fargo had a promotion to give $525 after 90 days. Well it's 90 days and the bank does not want to honor the promotion because they claim the bank officer opened the account incorrectly. It's in the notes that the bank should honor the promotion but the bank does not want to honor the promotion. What bank does this to their customers? They are punishing me instead of the bank officer.

Why is your ATM broken so often?!?! You have about 3 in the city and you're broken constantly!!! This is the closest one to me, at 6 miles distance! That's not an easy trek. At least note it on your app that the site is down. The hours are too limited so I'm unable to make it before or after work, and too far to go on my lunch. Add another ATM if the one you have breaks constantly. There used to be two, what happened with that?As a workaround, I'm getting my friend to take my cash and deposit it in her PNC Bank and Zelle it to me afterwards. Can't wait to be out of this place. I've had it since they bought out Washington mutual, and kept it through all their controversies, but the horrible customer service and constantly broken ATM is just enough. I'll just have to update all my accounts that have my bank info.EDIT: Answer your damn phone!!! Called Niles and the Evanston branch about 40 times today from 930 am to 4 pm. No one ever answered either line. Spoke with customer service and the rep said he had an internal line to reach them, but neither location answered him either. The rep told me to try the next Wells Fargo and see if their ATM was working... 15 miles away! I'm done with this place.

This branch used to have better customer service people. I am in customer service and I could not act the way the employees did at this branch. The branch operating officer Maurico Arias told me I can not do a walk in to see a banker. He said I would need to make an appointment because it's their policy to only see bankers by appointment. I came in 10 minutes late which I informed Mauricio when I made the appointment I would be. But, because they only see people by appointment someone should be able to see me when I come in. When I come in I am told " a walk-in took my spot ". And when I got upset that I was lied to, another bank associate yells at me that I was late and that's what I get. I don't know where you as a bank as customer service representatives get off treating someone you lied to like this. You as a company should be embarrassed that your service is so bad it makes people want everything automated because my experience couldn't be worse. It doesn't end there. After I waited for the banker I made an appointment with I informed him they sent my new card to the wrong address. I informed him I need a new card before the end of the month because it expires at the end of the month. So, the banker that I had to wait for cancels my current card not the one that was sent to the wrong address. You should be embarrassed as a company. Embarrassed as a customer service representatives. Embarrassed as bankers. You failed. Let me repeat this, YOU FAILED AT EVERY LEVEL OF A BUSINESS. I am in customer service I couldn't act they way you guys just did on my worst day, otherwise I would e let go. With the casualness and rudeness that was displayed makes me believe this wasn't your worst day. Otherwise the first thing I would have received was an apology. Do you know, all three of the people I felt with and made my day worse even apologized. I see this is the kind of atmosphere you breed at your company. Standards, the dedication to customer service comes from the top.

As a Wells Fargo customer since 2006 (in the south where they know how to treat people) this is horrible standard of customer service.Several hour wait in-person or 10+ days until the next available appointment?!Rude people on the phone.PNC will take care of you same day in any of the their Chicago branches.Do yourself a favor and switch your account to PNC asap.Kept my account with them out of loyalty but they don’t show any in return in this part of the country. Will not bank at this location period.
