Yes, this merchant carries good shoes--however, no one told me when paying for my shoes that there's a no-money-refund policy, only an exchange. And when I asked why I wasn't given the 30-50% discount on "ALL" boots advertised on their website, I was told that it was an outdated website. I pointed out that having that website up was misleading. The reply was that they are not misleading. In the future, I will buy good quality shoes from Nordstrom or Waxberg's or any other business that practices much better customer care. The exception in my experience at The Golden Shoe was the store's rep Tanya, who was most helpful and had nothing to do with the owner's policies.

Hard to come across shoe stores these days that carry high quality, European shoe brands. They had a nice selection of brands including Rieker and Naot plus many more. There was also a great selection of boots and nicer dress shoes for special events. Definitely tailored more towards an older generation and the prices are very high. Employees are friendly and helpful!

I last visited Golden Shoe about last year. I purchased a beautiful pair of boots from them and am very pleased with them. They are very high quality shoes. Costumer service was not the greatest and the ladies working there showed me shoes I wasn't interested in. I recommend this store if your looking for high quality and beautiful shoes.

I found The Golden Shoe not far from our hotel in Niles, and convinced my husband I needed to go there on the way to our niece's graduation. He stayed in the car thinking I'd be unsuccessful, since we had already looked about 10 places in Michigan before the trip. I had a wonderful experience! Found 2 great fitting pairs. Well, one was a little tight and the manager "stretched" it for me on-the-spot, since we were running late. Was back in the car in about 20 minutes, and made it to our event well-dressed. Yes, the store was small, but had quite a bunch of styles, not like the huge stores where there are rows of very similar, but uncomfortable shoes. I love European shoes!

This was an outstanding find. This is the place for buying an excellent pair of stylish shoes from a store which prides itself both on its products and attentive service. I will return every time I am interested in acting like an adult and making good decisions about footwear.

I had never heard of this store before bit was looking online for comfortable walking shoes and just didn't find what o was looking for in Woodfield area. Rieker is a European brand and I wanted to try them on so searched for a store that carries this brand as well as Naot. Found Golden Shoe in Niles and made it out there in time just before closing. The salesman (owner?) Was great..there were more choices than I expected and he allowed me to take my time making the right choice. I ended up buying two pairs of riekers and love them! I will definitely recommend this shop and plan to go back next time I need to find a great pair of shoes.

They sell great European shoe brands such as Reiker and Tamaris. If you're familiar with these brands, they are incredibly comfortable shoes that manage to look cool and modern.

My daughter and I stopped in. They have a great selection of European shoes! I've learned over the years European shoes are the best! Also I need a wide width and they had a good selection to choose from! Definitely worth the stop!

Great family-owned shoe store that has been there for several Generations. John and Tanya took the time to understand what I needed, and helped me find exactly what would fit my foot and my needs. They have brands that they have selected that are high-end, reasonably priced, and that they stand behind. I am impressed by the selection of men's and women's shoes and the sizes that they carry.

This store isn't large but sells a premium quality shoes. Bought for myself a pair of S. Moscoloni. These are the shoes I was looking for. Very satisfied.
