Our go-to Pharmacy, very convenient as we also shop at Jewel-Osco. Friendly and helpful staff, willing to help and guide one with recommendations and assistance.

Jewel's a Jewel, but management here is terrible. There was a young woman playing the most beautiful violin music in the corner of the parking lot today, nowhere near the doors, not bothering a soul, and I watched management bullies come out and threaten to call the cops on her. Really sad to see. How dare we add beauty to the world right?

As promised, they get a 5 star review for not being jerks and taking care of problems. I will always keep giving them my business.

Well hello and what a transformation this store has taken. Jewel hadn't seen my shadow in quite a while, but this particular location won me over. It's clean, well organized, staffed with friendly people, has a variety of great products and is not terribly expensive. As that other store that took chicago by storm and sold itself to Kroger, jewel seems to have their act together.

This is not my regular Jewel. However a collugue and I were in the area doing some shopping at nearby stores and went into this store for the buy one get one free ribs we planned on cooking and having together with our significant others. The store was laid out differently than any other Jewel I have been in. The bakery seemed small and like I was missing something. While we were shopping we also decided to get some bacon and things for breakfast. Since this was our last stop before heading home I wanted to purchase some medications I was unable to find at Walmart or Walgreens. I needed some flu medicine in the 30 pack which is very difficult to find and some Allegra and Claritin. Along with the medications I noticed they also carried the mederma scar lotion and threw that in the cart as it is difficult to find. Most stores only carry the mederma oil. Happy to have found it threw two of those in the cart. My friend and I made some last minute decisions on our upcoming meals and started to head towards the front of the store. She stopped to look at Easter Cards. I stopped to check my phone for messages and then as I waited for her decided to seperate the medications from the food since we decided she was going to purchase the food since we paid for dinner the night before and I was going to purchase my own medications for my family and my household. I had brought 2 reusable shopping bags in with me per normal. In order to seperate our items I left the food in the cart for her to take and I proceeded to take my reusable shopping bag towards the register so we could pay separately and be on my way. Before I even got out of the aisle a large black man approached me ripped my bag from my arms and as he dumped the medications on the floor literally flew them far enough to almost hit my friend. And then tried taking my friends hand bag to do the same but was able to back up and show him nothing but her wallet and personal items were in the bag. He was very loud. Caused a scene and totally humiliated us. In the moment I was very confused as to what was going on. But as he continued to yell at us I made my way to the exit and said to him we didn't do anything. What is going on? To his response was a loud condescending and intimidating voice "What did you say?" What did you say white girl?" I am a 41 year old women I have always used my reusable bags as a basket or item to hold some of the things I am purchasing and have never had anyone tell me that it was not allowed. Not in Jewel or any other stores I shop at and I do it quite often as it is much more sanitary than touching public carts. In this case I mearily did it to seperate what the each of us was paying for. I am a professional women and I have never been accused nor have I ever shoplifted. As we got to the exit door it finally hit me what was happening. This man was clearly racist and very scary and intimidating. I will no longer be shopping at any Jewel stores and neither will my friend. This man was way out of line and owes us an apology which I'm sure we will never get. But if Jewel supports racism and intimidation it's not the kind of store I will give my money to. My advice: GO ANYWHERE BUT JEWEL.

This is My go to store for shelf, liquor and freezer items since it's the closest store to my place. The bakery isn't bad and make pretty good cakes- I do not mind the pharmacy, although some of the workers are rude. So why 3 stars? This jewel is kind of, how do I say, DIRTY, especially during Covid- it's unacceptable. They did step up their produce game in the past 6 months but I'd rather go to fresh farms where stock boys are seen taking out bad and putting in fresh at every station all day. Not jewel. You may catch one here and there but not common.Deli- I've been coming here for years and even worked in the deli as a teen, but their salads and sides get old and they look terrible in that case. I come by every once in a while to try to get my favorite Chinese chicken salad, but the quality has been off and I think I'll pass. I LOVE THEIR SEAFOOD SALAD, But the way it has been looking lately,,, yuck! The main negative about this jewel and has been the same for over 20 years, is their bathroom. Never have I ever been to this bathroom where it was clean. The main stall literally has p*** on the walls, stall and floor. Have they cleaned it once in 20 years? It smells of feces and the workers do not clean, nor is anyone assigned to do so. I asked a CSR and she said they hire a service who comes at night. Well, this is unacceptable and should be changed. I emailed corporate many times over the years and never once has it been answered or corrected. I don't know about you but who would want to buy fresh items from a store whose bathrooms look like a scene out of a horror movie. I hope they step up their game.

I mean, it's a grocery store. Nothing can get too wild. But let me say this: the customer service is very good for a grocery store. Firstly, I have had many friendly and helpful interactions with the cashiers and baggers. Usually they are polite at any store, but here they seem to ask about your day or make a little joke or small talk. I think that's a nice touch. Also, I recently had a problem with the smartphone app. I got a little annoyed that it wouldn't allow me to log in. I mean, just give us the savings right away and don't make me monkey around with passwords and the like! I completed the survey on the receipt and mentioned my frustration.Obviously the problem I had isn't the fault of anyone that works at the actual store. However, the store manager called and followed up. He had a genuine tone and wanted to do what he could to make the problem right. I was very satisfied with his response.Between all of these experiences, I would recommend this store. Customer service jobs can be brutal, but I think that the employees of this store make a legitimate effort to do a good job and that's all I could possibly ask for.

Wow, with an abundance of caution (I'll strangle the next person who uses this parroted phrase - forever connected with Covid), I held off on giving my neighborhood Jewel a 5 star review. But hey, after learning that they are paying their employees an extra $2 per hour, due to covid, that raises the rating to 5 stars!! In a time when some hospitals are not even giving their nurses and doctors battle/hazard pay - Jewel has risen to the occasion. That, along with all of the free stuff that they give out and everything being in stock, this review is well deserved. Thank you Jewel for treating your employees well. Now provide them all with masks and latex gloves, stay safe y'all!!

Was shopping here Saturday before the mandatory lock down. It was the weekend, I was rushing around and wasn't wearing my Sunday best. Was in the freezer isle. An employee stocking a refrigerator made a comment about a warm up jacket I was wearing. I made a comment about running out quickly before the lock down. He responded by implying I was dressed as a homeless person. I was completely taken back and he jetted off to the back stock room. Never have had anything like that said to me before by an employee of somewhere I was shopping. Plenty other options in that area to shop at and not be insulted.

Came in for a quick trip. Needed just a few things. Stopped by the deli Dept couldn't help but notice how dirty it was back there all the slicer machines where gross with shards of old pieces of meat and cheese on the blade and the bottom of it euww the guy working was nice but he looked disheveled and not very clean and long unkept hair it grossed me out that he didn't change his gloves after each customer and kept ajusting his hat up and down and after touching the scale the slicer the door for the cooler and the raw bloody roast beef I passed. And just left. Way way to much stuff going on with this situation and not in a good way.
