By far the best LA Fitnes in Chicago. The service is phenomenal, I feel beyond welcome every time I come. Big thanks to Amir for accommodating me each and every time I visit. He is always polite, professional and smilie. Also, big thanks to Alice as she always goes above and beyond. Aside from the fantastic customer service establishment is extremely clean and neat. The machines are very modern and effective, furthermore the amenities are nothing less of a five star hotel. Thank you LA Fitnes! I urge anyone reading this review to check them out.

Seriously corporate needs to get maintenance over here pronto! Broken machines. Machines missing weight increments. Saunas out of service for MONTHS. now Lane lines for pool suddenly broke and will take 4+ weeks to replace. Tile around women's hot tub is peeling off and needs to be replaced. This place was due to open in 2020 but delayed. It's new. It's Signature. Ridiculous the constant problems!Positive: staff is informative. Place is clean. I always see crews in bathrooms, sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, checking garbage. Knowledgeable personal trainers.

The main reason why I signed up for signature is because of the steam room. It was out for weeks. When finally it was fixed- the steam doesn't blow as much... Fail!

The only reason I come to this branch is its proximity to my house. Facilities are ok the class trainers are good and so are the members of the cleaning staff. It’s one of the receptionists and an account manager (one of those people who sit at those tables behind the reception) that dragged my ratings to 2 stars. They lacked customer service skills and could only say ‘It’s policy’ when I had a question about a new rule they just decided to implement today. The receptionist even said, “Those are the rules when you come to OUR gym. THIS IS OUR GYM.” Obviously, OUR did not include my son and me. Came here on 11/16/23 at 5:50pm and I have never been this belittled during the many years that I have been a member.

Way too crowded. The equipment and machines are good, but there’s way too many people here. I typically workout around morning or noon, yet it is still packed in here. I came to workout at 6am in the morning and I still had to wait for a bench to clear up. Pool is nice, bathrooms and changing rooms have very good lighting. Just very hard to workout, even during non-peak hours.

To hell with this place. They need new management across the board. 5-6 months the men's bathroom facilities have been out of order. If you cant get it done in 5 months, you're fired. NO EXCUSES. Clearly the will not spend the money to get the facilities fixed, but we all pay our dues on time. You cant even work out here Monday thru Friday, its way too crowded. What are members paying for here? THIS PLACE IS GARBAGE.

Awful experiences here all the time. The people at the front counter are always rude. Like, it's your job to be nice and greet guests. It's your job to be respectful and inform Guests politely when issues arise at the gym. Pro tip, not just for the people that work at LA fitness, but for anyone looking to become more productive communicators, listen to understand... Not to defend. Talk TO people. Not AT people. Make eye contact and make an effort to approach guests politely. When I work out, I don't want to go to a gym where the employees are snobby and rude. The gym should be a place where people can relax and focus on their health. With better customer service, I promise more people will actually enjoy going to the gym, especially at this location. LA Fitness, please do better!

Not much a review guy, but I don't know what it takes for a corporation to figure it out. Can't blame the staff. But what makes this a signature club? Pools, sauna, showers and steam room have been broken for months. One of the most popular machines that they only have 2 of, the pec fly machine has also been broken for months. If I didn't have a discounted membership through Blue Cross Blue Shield I would've cancelled by now. You guys should be giving a discounted rate for these months it's been inoperable for, or some sort of credit.

As a long-time LA Fitness member since the summer of 2016, I feel compelled to share my experience with this particular location. Unfortunately, I must express my disappointment with several aspects, ranging from equipment quality and cleanliness to communication and staff professionalism.One of the most frustrating issues is the frequent malfunctioning of machines, which significantly limits the available equipment in an already crowded gym. It's disheartening that these malfunctions often take months to be addressed, leaving members with a reduced selection of usable equipment.Furthermore, there was a concerning outbreak of Legionnaires disease at this location, and shockingly, the management failed to inform any of the members about it. We only found out through external news sources. Even more concerning is that the state disease prevention authorities have yet to clear the facility, resulting in the steam room, sauna, hot tub, and swimming pool being out of service for over two months. These amenities are a key attraction of the gym, and as members, we pay a premium to access them.When I approached the floor manager and the corporate manager, expressing my concerns and inquiring about a discount considering the closure of all amenities, their response was abismal. They essentially dismissed the issue, emphasizing that as long as the weight room is functional, they deemed it sufficient, disregarding the fact that all other amenities were unavailable. This lack of understanding and empathy reflects poorly on their customer service standards.Being someone who has built meaningful relationships with several LA Fitness General Managers in the past, I decided to reach out to them about my experience at this particular location. Surprisingly, they confirmed that they have received numerous complaints about this location and its staff. It's disheartening to witness such a decline in customer service quality.Given these circumstances, I have made the decision to switch to Lifetime, despite the higher cost. I believe that investing in a premium experience is necessary to distance myself from the negative environment I have encountered at this LA Fitness location. Sad, truly sad.

This is supposed to be a premiere /signature club meaning the membership fee is higher here but a number of amenities have been out of service for MONTHS. While the company continues to charge full monthly fee but members are stuck with a half functional gym and looks like they are in no hurry to fix it. To me it's a scam a robbery of service. The staff is nice and courteous and I know they have no saying in this matter but the manager should at least update on when the issues will be addressed

We had an absolutely fantastic sign-up experience at LA Fitness, and can't help but rave about it. The employee who assisted us, Brianne, was simply amazing. She gave us a detailed tour of the gym, showcasing all the equipment and ensuring we felt comfortable using them. Brianne patiently answered all of our questions, going above and beyond to provide us with the information we needed.What really impressed me was Brianne's dedication to explaining the membership process. She took her time to walk us through all the options and pricing plans, ensuring we understood everything before making a decision. Her friendly and patient demeanor made the entire process a breeze.The gym itself was incredible. It was clean, well-maintained, and had a pleasant atmosphere. I particularly loved that it wasn't overly busy, as it allowed for a comfortable workout experience without feeling crowded. Overall, we highly recommend LA Fitness, especially if you're looking for a gym with knowledgeable staff, top-notch equipment, and a clean and relaxed environment.

Do not use this facility. Very dirty shower area, and locker room changing area. Mats are even dirty in workout area. They never repair their broken equipment. Recently had a few cases of legionaires disease due to dirty stagnant water. Use a different La fitness. This is poorly maintained.

Attend at your own risk!Through the years I've been to this gym there have been nothing but out of order facilities. Showers closed for months, out of order steam rooms and whirlpools. The official excuse is that they run through maintenance or do repairs. The true reason will never be disclosed, like the Legionnaires' disease outbreak in LA Fitness and they have the facilities closed just to wait it out. The place is filthy and there's noone to enforce ordinances or health regulations.

I've been coming to this LA Fitness now for 7 months Aamir General Manager and Luke Assistant Manager helped me out with a situation. Both are very polite and intelligent people only I highly recommend doing business with.
