I was reminded today why I stopped shopping at this store. I popped in by necessity for 1 item. An older female employee who was doing inventory with 2 other workers had her cart in front of the items I was comparing, blocking me from seeing them. She was standing there looking at me. She said nothing, just stared at me. After a bit of time thinking she would notice I’m obviously reaching for these items behind her cart to read ingredients I said excuse me would you mind moving your cart? I can’t see. I am a very smily person and was not rude in any way. She just raises her eyebrows let’s out a sigh stares at me and looks down at her inventory papers. We are about 2 feet from each other and she then yells directly me to the worker behind me about inventory. I’m pretty shocked at this point. I then say excuse me? She says what?? I said for the third time excuse me can you move your cart? No words to me as she pulls the cart back about 2 feet and walks away. The cart still blocking the items I need to compare prices of I move the cart another 2 feet so I can see.
What’s so disappointing is this isn’t the first time I have had legitimate bad experiences with staff here. I’m a courteous person who has lived in Niles my whole life. And I now own my childhood home here. Saddest thing for me is I grew up with three close family members working here and used to spend a lot of time as a child visiting my aunt who was a long time cake decorator in the Bakery in the 90s. I never imagined the change in how staff behaved toward customers here.
You should really address this management. I guess it doesn’t matter much for me personally because I’m going back to shopping somewhere else like I have been. ?

Long lines they don’t care to staff more cashiers and are happy to clog up isles with the queue of people. Another of the conglomerate that doesn’t care about your time in making you navigate an app in order to get good deals. Typical corporate disregard. I like the late hours but it makes me feel cheap and dirty to have to shop here.

There's a deli legend named Patty shes amazing nicest person ever! Also the floral department is beautiful always in order and the manager there I think her names Alexa is always helpful

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I would not recommend anyone to come to this location. I actually regret even stepping foot in this store.
As my mother and I shopped around from aisle to aisle. I had two employees watching me in very obvious ways as if I was some sort of criminal. My mother and I had a cart full of groceries. I mean after all, it is a grocery store where people come to buy their essential items. I tried my best to pay absolutely no mind to this encounter and proceed with my weekly shopping trip.
It doesn't stop there, it only gets worse. We make it to the check out line where a rude cashier by the name of Judi proceeds to yell at my mother and I. Extremely unacceptable. I did not want to entertain the ignorance of the employees at this location but I truly felt uncomfortable and unwelcomed. I've worked retail for 20 years. There's no reason anyone should have left the way we felt.
With the number of bad reviews on your customer service... maybe take some advice from the general public.

Very well stocked Store, especially considering it was close to closing time.
Ample parking.
The only issue is they only had one person working the registers, and the lines were backed up.

Worst ever experience today, I shop multiple times per week at this location and today I was treated terribly by deli employee Rose who wouldn't sell me chicken as I requested. Very disrespectful rude individual. Even after involving the manager this employee yelled at me ,argued with me despite the fact a manager was present and gave her direction. Unreal , can't understand how someone like this remains employed working in customer service. This store location needs to give corrective action for the behavior

The staff here are the best, especially Mandi the supervisor. I go to atleast 4 or 5 jewels and the customer service here is the best. They deal with rude customers and system errors and manage to take care of all guests the best they can far better than other locations.

It's a grocery story. You buy groceries there. Lots of them. I buy all of mine there. From Pizzas to bacon to steaks. Osco is a drug store for all of your health and beauty needs.
