Extremely disrespectful, the group of staff are very rude and seem to hate their jobs. Some of the staff are old and extremely rude. I like JCpenny but I highly suggest to not go to this location ever.

I had been a regular customer here for the past 5 years. The Salon manager Michelle is my go to person. She is so attentive to the minute details we say. She listens patiently and does an amazing job. Michelle works wonders with her figures. For the past two years, I started doing highlights too. My hair was so dry from a hair coloring from another place , not only did she tried fixing the dryness , she did do a touch up and gave me a different look. Recently I went back to her for balayage and wanted a particular shade of red and she brought the exact color I wanted. I would 100% recommend her to my friends.

Absolutely delighted with my debut hair appointment at JC Penney! Massive appreciation to Michelle for her exceptional work on my curly hair. The coloring was flawless, and her gentle approach made the entire experience truly exceptional. Without a doubt, I'll be scheduling with her again!

If you don’t look or are white, then the staff will act like they don’t speak english. I didn’t even get to enter the salon yet one of the staff who was a karen granny version immediately told me she didn’t speak english. She gave me one glance and immediately rolled her eyes, telling me she doesn’t speak english, IN ENGLISH.She was being racist towards me. Shame on you for dealing with customers like that, the customers who give you money to your own business so you wouldn’t be homeless . If you decide to live in the U.S., then you have to learn to speak english or respect this country because we the people respect the variety of nationalities.Look how shes talking to me while on her phones. Zero respect.

I booked a appointment for a wash cut and blow dry for a very important evening, I explained and showed the hairdresser I just wanted long layers to my beautiful long straight hair . I was specific I didn’t want anything drastic and specifies told her not to cut off my hair too much just simple long layers . The hairdresser sadly was older in age and She ignored all and everything I said and chopped off my hair into a mess! I was so hurt and disappointed and when I told her I didn’t not ask for such short hair she decided to defend her self by saying she didn’t a great job! I was running late I ended up paying more then scheduled because I had long hair and they messed up my hair. I asked for the manager she cameOut listening to my concerns and me starting to cry she quickly tried to make the most of my horrible haircut . I appreciate that but they should refund my money my hair has been chopped off over 6 inches and that will take over 6 months toGrow back! They need to hire more professional staff. I can’t trust this place anymore. They shouldListen to the customer and honest 50$ for a messed up haircut not worth you can do better at a local place!!!Service: Haircut

Butchered my son's hair for picture day. A simple kid's haircut became a nightmare. The first person screwed up his hair and the other stylist tried to fix it. If I could give zero, I would. The refund wasn't enough to pay back this screw up. Both stylist did know what they were doing.

I would give my stylist 5 stars, the two star rating is mainly due to the ignorant employees talking Assyrian around me for three hours, and this happens every time I'm here. It just feels really rude to be speaking another language, I know they are like not, but it feels like they are talking about me. Management please talk to your staff it should be a common concept to not do this in front of customers!

Can get overcharged here! Make sure you enquire the price and confirm what you want done before sitting down for service. I got shocked when I was told the price at the end, apparently the service I wanted was an "add on" and can't be charged for itself so they added another service without consulting with me first. Shock was an understatement to what I felt! The service was good, no complaints there but I just wish I was told before they went ahead and expected me to pay. Not sure if I will go again though.

I wish I could remember her name. I think it was Maha? (Sorryyyyy!) I jumped into my mother's car. (She insists on driving because I "tap the pedal" - I think I do it on purpose because I hate driving LOL...) Anywhoo, I jumped in the car to go shopping with my mom, and gasped! "WHO did your hair?!" "JC Penny Salon." "I love it!" "Yeah, she did a good job." (End of conversation.) It wasn't the end for me. I have wanted to chop my hair for quite some time, and I knew I needed to see her. (I'm big into spa-like experiences, and sometimes you think - the more money you spend, and the more 'elite' you go, the better the cut.) NOPE. Not true! It's the person. I'm going to list some things here. *rubs hands together and utilizes her 90wpm typing capabilities with no mistakes* *clears throat* 1. Maha was NICE. BUT. When it got down to business, (cutting off probably 10 or more inches of hair into a bob,) she focused. 2. She made suggestions, trying to save me from my bang choice. (Made sense, but I wanted them, and she did a fantastic job!) 3. The other people there were SO NICE! Customers and other stylists were so awesome and super excited that I was doing such a big change. It made it fun. 4. She made suggestions. (She cared that I would be happy with my hair. When she saw my eyes light up when she cut the bangs, I think it made her day!) 5. I wasn't going to go anywhere or to anyone I didn't know would do it well. After seeing my mom's fantastic (much shorter) bob, and how sassy and sexy she looked, I was like - "The person who cut your hair - she's the one." 6. I'm going back. I hope she doesn't leave. She's been there for a while, (I always ask,) and I think that speaks volumes on the morale at a place. Morale not only brings in great employees but also great customers. Customers I engaged in great conversation with. 7. A salon is - yes - to make your hair look good. But art is inspired by the support of your peers, and the inspiration of on-lookers. Like it or not, that little "push" makes everything more fun, and it helps you "go for it." 8. I'll stress again; she was honest. She knew about my colics, explained what they would do, and how to overcome the obstacle of bangs + colics. I assured her I would be ok! She was awesome. 9. There is no 9. I explained it all. She's super cool, but she concentrates. And she did well on my mother and me. I hope I spelled her name correctly lol. If I didn't, and you, JC Penney Salon, see this, please correct me! I'll be back. Muahahaha!

CiCi cut 3.5 inches off of my hair and fixed my bangs that I had cut myself. She also did a fabulous job on my eyebrows. It was easy to get an appt. they have bottled water. I normally don't like my hair to be shorter, but she gave me a cute layered cut. I really appreciate how she took care of me because I've been ill and she was very patient with my restrictions during the services as a person going through an illness. I hope to come back soon. CiCi was recommended to me. I hear Camille is great, too.
