Staff is great, but the office is small and busy so many patients coming in and out. The appointment with Dr. Marmur felt rushed and I wasn't able to adequately talk about concerns before moving on to the eye tests.
She was extremely condescending as I tried to discuss my concerns with possible hereditary eye disease I may have inherited from a parent. Not all of us have great relationships with our parents for various reasons and I didn't need to be shamed for not knowing their full medical history or for not taking them to their appointments. Dr. Marmur should have taken some sensitivity training. I was upset as I left and my day was pretty much ruined after the appointment.

Laura, at the Costco vision center in Niles, IL, helped me in selecting lenses and frames. She is very pleasant and engaging and couldn't have been any more helpful or informative than she was. She was very knowledgeable about the features of the frames and lenses, and she also informed me of an upcoming sunglasses sale which I was not even aware of but will definitely be taking advantage of!
If you plan on purchasing your eyewear needs at the Costco in Niles, IL, I would definitely look for Laura to help you out, she's the best!

Firstly, I assumed that the cost for an exam would be less expensive than going to a brand name vision store. I mean, that's kinda the Costco thing. Right?... Wrong. I paid $100. Most brand name vision stores are $69... I know this because I had to call around to have my eyes re-examined after going to Costco because...Secondly, my eye exam script was not correct.Thirdly, because Costco doesn't offer Progressive Lenses with a wider view (such as Varilux), I couldn't order my glasses through them. I ordered glasses online and thought that they somehow messed it up because I had problems seeing with them. I ended up going back to wearing my old pair. Months later, I ended up at Pearl Vision. He measured my old pair to the glasses I purchased online (made from the Costco script) and after my exam told me that my actual script is between the old pair and what the exam that Costco had written up.This was a very expensive lesson learned… money lost for an exam that was done incorrectly and money lost for glasses that I cannot wear because of that incorrect exam.

Today it’s Christmas Eve, we had an appointment with the optometrist at 1:45 p.m. , we had to wait 50 minutes for our appointment. When I asked why they didn’t let us know ahead of time, they are running almost an hour late. The optometrist said we don’t do that. I’m extremely disappointed. They ruined our Christmas Eve . I will not be coming back.

My wife and I just got back from the Costco nearest us where we shop all the time. Upon removing a case of Premier Chocolate proteine shakes, we realized that the box was wripped open, there was one or two missing shakes from the box, and that the missing shake(s) had exploded and was all over the side with the box. The store is a half hour away so returning for another box to replace two shakes does not make any sense. I called the toll free number and they were of no help at all. They insisted that I would have to return to the store in order for them to do anything. At a time when prices keep going up, the least Costco could do is offer a store credit for damaged/missing items. Cancelling my membership

After being nagged by a friend & shopping with family, I decided to join the club. This is my local Costco & after having gone more times than I care to admit, it's time for a review. Returns? Expect a line. But if you know, you know - Costco has a stellar return policy. Other lines? They look worse than they actually are. (To clarify, I don't shop on weekends.)I've seen the age old question, "Does a single person need a Costco membership?" Yes, yes you do. I HATE running out of anything. Even for toiletries & cleaning supplies, you can expect to save quite a bit - just prepare to play Tetris with storing some of the items. They have delicious frozen items - burgers, veggies, shrimp, etc. I'll also buy my coffee here. Other items such as gummy vitamins, windshield wipers, Pyrex food storage - it's all here. The value of a membership cannot be understated. I've stopped buying burgers out because their options are amazing. Bread / bagels / buns? Split the bag in half & shove the rest in the freezer. I have also ordered a noise cancelling headset online & was able to get a price adjustment easily. Oh & snacks... do not forget the snacks. The icing on the cake is self-check out & grabbing a slice of pizza on the way out. Do yourself a favor & shop here. They'll even let you return the membership if you're unsatisfied.

I am a Costco membership from 2009. I am always happy when shopping at Costco. Not about supplying but customer service. This is the first time in 15 years , I had that bad experience at Costco. Blanca R. Was so rude . After shopping at fresh farm. I took my older sister here to buy something for her. I don't want my sister spend money, so I hold my card to ready to pay.(it not bother anyone ) Blanca- the cashier talk to me so rude , staring at me- it is unacceptable. Then when they pour out the sauce from rotisserie chicken all over my stuffs, I didn't blame them. But they didn't say sorry for that. The attitude is terrible. I am always sympathetic and easy to everyone but it not the reason to look me down. My sister cried in the car, my car still smell bad from chicken sauce. It is the worst experience at Costco. I hope someone can ask Blanca to change her attitude. When she was tired , she can stay home. But when working , she need to be professional and respect people. Thanks.

Very nice experience. The optometrist was professional and thorough. She explained the technology to me. Afterwards I picked out two pairs of glasses, one with transition to sunglasses. I couldn’t believe the low cost compared to For Eyes.

I've been a member since 2009 -executive membership- The cashier & 2 managers told my boyfriend he couldn't buy groceries because our membership expired November. Today is Dec 2nd he offered to renew it at the register but they wouldn't renew it They asked him to go to customer service The manager quickly took the cart away ... the cakes the meat & everything else he got for our Saturday night dinner. These managers are PREJUDICE against Hispanics ....... I will NEVER EVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!! BAD BAD BAD TERRIBLE customer service!!!

We have been Costco members for years and have shopped at many Costcos. This by far was the worst. The layout of the store is so cramped. The aisles are so small it is difficult to maneuver a cart along with other shoppers. The store definitely needs more space. In the frozen section the aisles were lined with pallets of water. It is extremely congested. This was on a Saturday late afternoon, but it clearly could not accomodate the merchandise and customers. We actually walked out without purchasing anything due to the experience.

Wow. Just wow. The staff member Bushra who worked at the customer service totally wowed me today. Not in a good way though. Today's the last day before my Costco membership expires. I wasn't planning to renew it right away since my household didn't really need big amount of anything in the near future. I came in with Costco rewards certificate to redeem. It was $140 on the certificate. Bushra handled it and handed me $20 in cash telling me that she renewed my membership. She did not ask me if I wanted to renew my membership today at all. I told her I wasn't intending to do it today. She then asked me, seemed annoyed, "then what day?"And she tried to explain to me by saying "if I didn't renew it, I couldn't process the certificate."I got a sense that this process was a done deal on her side. And she explained again by showing me "on the rewards certificate, it states that the certificate's not redeemable in cash."Like she did me a big favor. Really?!Not sure how I would appreciate that favor by this odd level of customer service. I'm just stunned here with an "automatically" renewed membership not knowing when I would shop in Costco next time again.
