“One event we have at our high school is a Prom Fashion Show. The gown vendor we had been working with moved out to Schaumburg and I was left to find another vendor willing to work with us. For weeks I called several stores, left messages and none of them would call me back. I really thought I had to cancel the show this year until Omaima came to my rescue! She not only returned my call but she also agreed to work with us to help make this show a success. We had set up a date and time for the girls to pick out a dress to wear for the show. By the time they arrived there was already an assortment of beautiful gowns ready for them to try on. Omaima and her assistant were so patient and kind. They made sure each girl chose a dress that not only made them feel confident and beautiful, but also flattering to their unique shape and height. The girls had a good time trying on dress after gorgeous dress, standing on the platform in front of the large mirrors, and admiring themselves and each other. As an added bonus Omaima even wrote descriptions of each dress for us to read during the show! The store is small but charming. The decor is warm and welcoming. I can imagine how a bride would feel being in this type of environment surrounded by their loved ones and saying "Yes to the dress." It just has that type of vibe. If you're looking for a dress for that special occasion, do not hesitate to come to Omaima Couture. You'll be glad you did!”

“I had an amazing experience working with Nita Aunty. She and her team were able to provide me with a beautiful hand made custom blouse for my wedding lehenga. The blouse itself was very high quality and brought me such comfort and confidence on my big day. “Very professional but comfy and beautiful store. My group had a great area with plenty of seating and my stylist was very friendly and knew exactly what I would be looking for. I tried on at least 30 dresses before coming here and within trying on 4 at Diana's, I found the dress I'd be going home with. I'm so happy with what I found and I love that its not the everyday generic wedding dress. I also loved that the seamstress was available to look over the dress and any concerns there may have been. They also had a great option for taking tax off the dress by having it delivered to my home. Lastly, they do offer post-wedding care for the dress including a professional cleaning and storing after the wedding so you can keep your treasure well maintained forever. I would highly recommend anyone here!”

“I was a 2023 bride/customer of Viero and had an overall excellent experience. I went to about 8 different bridal boutiques ranging from high-end couture to mid tier prices and the quality and price point of Viero was unmatched even compared to boutiques like Dmitra's. I worked with Mariana and she was very attentive and well informed. Going into dress shopping I had zero background knowledge on wedding dresses and didn't know which type of style I wanted what so ever. Mariana was very patient and helped me pick the perfect dress of my dreams that was timeless yet unique. I was able to ask for custom additions they accommodated at a very fair price point. I also had them do my alterations and they were very timely, flexible and allowed me to alter several times close to my wedding date as I was loosing a substantial amount of weight. I also bought my veil there which I highly recommend as well. Upon your appt, I recommend looking through their site and noting the dress names you'd like to try on into your online appt and also calling them to ensure they have it at their location/ allow them to ship it in time. “Love this store, love the owner! I always come around this store but never went in. When I did went in, it was beautiful! Just beautiful. Came here for a hoco dress and it did not disappoint. The sweet owner helped me with the size and colors of the dress. There were plenty to choose from; short to long ones. There was wedding dresses too. There was also a section for boys too. They had baby clothes, men clothes, men shoes and women shoes! Heels are very good prices. Bought a blue dress for 95 bucks and it was wonderful. The owners is really nice, recommend! Thank you! “Wow, they have some really beautiful pieces at Ellie Thompson. When I stopped in the namesake artist wasn't in but she (and her associates, if there are other creatives here) is incredibly talented. I was curious and I am attracted by sparkly things, so I stopped in with my little one to have a look around. The employee was welcoming and let me wander to appreciate all the pieces on display. There was an interesting sapphire and diamond ring with a kind of asymmetrical profile that was lovely. Far too expensive for me to have purchased but perhaps it's good that it was too small for my finger so I didn't have to feel sad about leaving it behind. I would like some sort of jewelry with my daughter's birthstone, perhaps also my own, so Ellie Thompson is a place I will keep in mind when I am ready to explore the possibilities. There's a very high step from sidewalk to store level in order to enter the store. If you're disabled, have mobility issues, or would otherwise find it difficult to enter, I suggest you call ahead to determine how they can accommodate you.”

“After a full day shopping downtown for a prom dress, we were feeling a bit concerned that our trip to Chicago would leave us empty handed. We planned to visit the suburbs to find more stores that were solely geared towards formal dresses at an affordable price and found Belmont Boutique. The owner, Sung Moon, is an amazing woman and knows her stuff! She asked for photos of what we were looking for and quickly found several dresses that were beautiful and in a great price range. The very first dress was the winner! I'm so happy we stopped by this dress shop and even more grateful that they were open on Sundays for our visit.”

“Fantastic tailor! I ordered a bridesmaid's dress for my friend's wedding online. Obviously this story ends with the dress not fitting and I was running out of time. I reached out maybe 2 months before the wedding and they were the first ones to reach out to me, immediate availability, and an affordable rate. I took the dress to them the first chance I had and they were on top of it. They were quick with the measurements and overall fitting, I think I was there no more than 20 minutes. I asked about payment and return time, they gave me a fair price, literally average tailoring price online, and I picked it up 1/2 weeks before the wedding. It fit perfectly, they were able to keep the pockets without losing any space, and I never had to worry about any wardrobe malfunctions. They were kind, respectful, and honestly funny. “I needed a barong for my 7 year old and my husband (arab) for my sister's wedding. It was last minute but ate charisma scheduled to meet three days later. She planned accordingly, asking for sizes, fabric, date of the event and told me to bring shirts because I wasn't going to bring either son or husband. When we met I was scared I wouldn't find the suite but she provided a map with thorough instructions. The staff knew to expect me and help guide me to the suite. Upon arriving i was offered beverages. I was then escorted to her suite and she had the barongs laid out as well as a book incase I didn't find something I want. She started with a presentation, a 101 on barongs and fabrics. I informed in our call I wanted the high end fabric so it looked polish and elevated. She had a few picked out but she nailed it.
