“You really need to stop by Mead's a couple of times a month and make them part of your regular grocery shopping routine. There is no place in the Rockford area that treats meat better. From the perfectly juicy corned beef sandwich I had today, to the hard-to-find whole pheasant for last Christmas, this is your place. Ryan will cut your ribeye steaks just as thick as you like, and his dad practically invented seasoning. All you need after that is a cast iron skillet! The Meads have served the Rockford area for generations and have great working relationships with many businesses. Every dollar you spend here not only supports this great butcher shop, but also the local farms that supply them. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!”
“Great lil neighborhood corner store. Perfect for snax, or the occasional item you might need but don't want to go to the grocery store for, like milk butter eggs etc. Wide selection of alcohol as well.”

“The best part about woodman's is the vast variety of product they provide. At times it feels like inter-dimensional shopping, I swear some of the stuff on their shelves look like fake products you'd see on a 90s sitcom, but it's all real I promise. They have good deals on certain products as well, and the best part, cherry on the sundae, they're open 24/7.”
“A lot of authentic ingredients that are hard to get around here. Used to be run by a sweet old couple but new owners thankfully are keeping it mostly the same. Clean, organized, friendly. Great place.”
“Construction is done, and they are adding some new ideas/services.. ie popcorn station and rotisserie station.. some other services are slicing is free. The staff seems fairly young, but a few go above, what others do!”
“So many weird sodas here! I got a Habanero one and a coffee cake one. They have a ton of snacks from around the world. I was surprised to find my favorite Banana Kick Korean snack. They have some Japanese KitKats as well.”

“You can tell the owners really care about the store and the presentation is immaculately done. The floors were shining and no dust anywhere. Again Very Clean & Organized Store. Nice Variety of Products. Great Customer Service. Definitely worth a trip to satisfy your Asian Grocery Needs! The aisles are narrow but worth the squeeze down them, they are loaded with so many choices. Everything from woks to steamers, to sauces, to noodles, to coconut milk, specialty teas and snacks! “I am always satisfied when I shop at Valli's. I find the produce good and generally the prices are reasonable. I also like their meat products. Valli's is my favorite store to shop at in Rockford. Service is good and friendly. It's pleasurable to shop there. The ambience is good.”

“Nice to have this convenient store in the neighborhood. The owners are very friendly guys, the prices are relatively reasonable and they have beer, liquor, wine, ice, smokes, juice/soft drinks, snacks and basic staples - basically just what you might need in a pinch. And, they're open until 11pm, which is two hours later than any other stores of this type in the area. Hopefully will be able to get THE PAPER there soon.”

“It's expensive but always well stocked. The produce section always has good looking fruits and vegetables. Things are pretty well laid out in the store and the staff is generally pretty helpful. All that said, I need to be careful shopping there because of their prices.”
“The first time I was in a Woodman's I was mind-blown at how massive they are ! To those outside of the midwest I wonder what your grocery store equivalent is ? I've never been in a Wegman's but I imagine it is something on that scale. Costco is large too but in a different way.Not sure what to add about this Woodman's but I am always in awwww of how much there is here ! “Muhammad has always been professional and kind to me. When I first came to Rockford, and went to Amana, he greeted me with respect. He greets "Salom". I greet "Shalom". Both the seed of Abraham, by different mothers. I eat 90% organic, kosher and halal. I have found good quality halal meat at Amana's. If you are a contientious eater of halal foods, Amanna is the place to go.”

“The store was really filled! Had everything I needed! Was clean! I was looking for something. I asked a gentleman that's been working there since the day they opened. And he wouldn't acknowledge me. The people he was talking to was talking with there kids jumping in and out of boxes and I just needed help finding ice cream cones. I just don't think that' not good customer service. The same night. When I checked out. I didn't want or needed a bag. The cashier told me I had to pay and can't refund me.”

“Went to get my oil changed. Sat in line for close to a hour. 3 bays open and full. The price is right. I had to leave as I was on lunch for work! Did not get my oil changed. I will say it seemed like they could be short staffed. I will give it another try as I am a very frequent visitor at the grocery stores”
