Great shop. I was traveling through town when my trans went out. I took it to tonys they rebuild it and go me in the road unfortunately I had another issue but tonymade arraignment for the town truck(112 miles away) to pick it up. He covered the cost put a new trans in and never asked for another dime. I would recommend Tony to anyone

I want to recognize and recommend Tony’s Transmission in New Lenox. Tony has demonstrated himself to be an honest provider of service. He has patiently worked through a very complex problem with my grandson’s car and has never over promised. He has arrived at a point where the repair suggested will be very expensive and he has offered to return the car without charging for the many hours he has worked on the car. I’m having the work done by him because he is such an honest person.

Excellent experience here. Tony took the time to ensure my vehicle was properly repaired before returning it to me. He went above and beyond expectations. While my vehicle was being repaired, the emissions test needed to be done, since Tony needed extra time on it, he took it in and had the emissions test completed. He also stuck with his original quote, despite it taking the extra time to repair. My vehicle has been running as good as the day I bought it new! Thanks Tony, well done!

Every driver’s worst nightmare happened to me… my transmission suddenly gave out and I was stuck on the side of a highway on a rainy day. My local mechanic recommended I see Tony, so that’s exactly what I did. I have a 19 year old car with about 165K miles on it, so I guess it was time for a major repair. I know enough about cars to get by, but transmissions are completely foreign to me. I didn’t want to buy a new car due to the insanely expensive new/used car market. I really took a leap of faith with Tony and he did not disappoint. As soon as I chatted with him the first time, I knew he was a trustworthy mechanic. He always kept me updated on the repairs and other things he noticed along the way. He rebuilt my transmission and my car runs GREAT. It even feels sturdier when I drive it. Transmission repairs aren’t cheap, but I know I made a smart investment by going to Tony. I also feel very secure that there is a 1-year warranty with the fix. Thank you Tony for your honesty, kindness, helpfulness and for saving me lots of money in the long run. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!!
