The absolute WORST bank we have ever dealt with!!! Closed out an IRA 3 months ago and STILL haven’t received my mothers check!! Have had nothing but lies and delays of why her check has not arrived!! Actually talked to corporate and found out manager actually lied to us about when check was mailed out!! It’s seems they are purposely not sending her check out for a 82 yr old mother with cancer and can not get to the bottom of reason or excuses from TCF IN NEW LENOX. Please please go to another bank instead of TCF for your own good

It's a shame that you have to call the 800 number to speak to someone in your town branch! Then to top it off the person on the other end of the 800 number sounds like she's 7!!

I lost my card two weeks i live an hour away. I've tried to call this bank every day for two weeks after work. Im left on hold. They do not answer their phones. Im talking about two hours the most in which I I waited. And I did this every day. Now on my only day off, I have to waste my gas and money to go to them. Because they don't know how to pick up a phone. Very unprofessional. I could understand a few times. But everyday for two weeks. No. I have to close my bank account now. I cant be dealing with a bank that does not care to stay in touch when u need

Horrible customer service. 20 year customer with deposits available immediately, changed policy to a 2 day hold on checks with no warning. New Lenox branch open on Saturdays but when I went to make deposit on 08/08/2020 there was a note on the door saying closed due to "IT" issue. Called they said to come back in 30 minutes which I did and branch still closed with a parking lot full of cars. Called customer service today about these issues and was treated poorly. Called New Lenox branch and same treatment. Said I will be in to close account tommorrow she simply said "okayyyy."

I have had an account here for more than 5 years. I have had mostly good service etc. from them. I use the drive through mostly. I had a check problem once because it bounced from the other party that made it out to me. TCF charged a fee against my account, but then when I explained what happened they refunded the fee to me after a couple of weeks, I think. I appreciate that they did the refund.

So stupid that the hours have changed it causes such problems for me! I signed up for this bank because it had long functional hours that worked with my schedule.

This location is poorly organized! Your info online states you are open till 7pm on Saturday, yet the sign on your door states you are open till 1pm!!

My business bank card was worn out so they made me a replacement on the spot. Teller asked for my worn card, she insisted that she would shred it. She never cancelled the card and THE SAME card was fraudulently used in Broadview 3 weeks later. Besides that mistakes are common.

Dealt with this branch's lending manager - Roy Lux to apply for a HELOC. He sent a list of all the required documents and I sent him all the files the next day. And then I waited. I called and left him a message a few days later to make sure he didn't need anything else - no call back. I followed up with an email - no email back. This routine went on for THREE WEEKS! I had even called the branch's main line a couple times to make sure he still worked there - they assured me he did. I asked to talk to a branch manager when it came up on the one month mark. She assured me she would look into it and call me back before six that evening - no call. I did, however, get a voicemail from the long lost Roy Lux at 6:30 to say to give him a call and that it appears my loan had 'fell off the system'. It took three separate calls the next day to get him to answer to explain what that meant. He started his explanation off by saying he could forward my loan on to someone else within TCF to continue the loan. I said I don't want to continue it, I should be receiving the money shortly. He said that their files are electronic and it appears my loan had 'fell off the system'. I asked if it had happened yesterday. He said no, it has been off the whole time. I asked how come he didn't call me back any of the times I had called to check on it. He said " I have a real large workload". He again said he could forward the paperwork over to someone else in TCF to process it. I asked if that meant starting from Day 1. He said yes. I then told he what I thought of him and how he shouldn't work anywhere close to a bank. I have been a long time TCF customer but the actions of Roy Lux and his branch have turned me completely off and now I am in the process of moving my accounts and Buisness elsewhere. Do NOT do Buisness with Roy Lux!!!!!
