I went here on a recommendation and had a great experience. The staff was great. They were very friendly, attentive and thorough. I would recommend this place and will definitely go back.

I didn't wait long to be called for my first contact lens appointment. The doctor spent almost an hour with me after a thorough eye examination to try a variety of lens options since I have a unique prescription as well as astigmatism. Though in the end, contacts didn't work for me, I appreciate his extensive knowledge, time and patience he spent in trying to help find the best solution.

Our family has been longtime and loyal patients of The Wheaton Eye Clinic. In recent years their quality of care has diminished greatly. It now takes months in advance to even book a basic eye appointment. They are no longer the elites in eye health but instead just another assembly line profit based company. Even though there are still many top doctors at Wheaton, they seem to have lost their core mission and changed their style of operation in recent years. After my recent appointment last week - I developed a serious upper respiratory virus. It is not a walk in the park for me, as I also suffer from Asthma. In addition this has me quite upset because I am a fulltime caregiver for my elderly mother and go to great lengths to not bring something home to her. She is quite vulnerable to any illness due to her weakened state and numerous health issues. I was exposed to the sickness at The Wheaton Eye clinic. I have not been anywhere else before contracting this upper respiratory virus. The medical staff was not cleaning any of the machines or using good hygiene before my eye care. The staff is also quite abrupt with patients. You would think after Covid-19 their cleaning protocols would be even more stringent. But that was not the case at my appointment. Also the appointment times at Wheaton are a long and drawn out process. Once you finally actually see the doctor you are hurried through with actual doctor face to face time at less than five minutes. I will no longer be going to Wheaton. I am going to search for a new and better provider such as possibly Loyola Medical Center. The current Chief Operating Officer Justin Rokser and President Michael Kipp of The Wheaton Eye Clinic might want to take a look at their reviews on Yelp and other review sites as they seem to mirror many of my concerns and recent experience. There are many scathing reviews about their current mode of operation at Wheaton Eye. Sadly, The Wheaton Eye Clinic is another example of a once quality medical provider that now prioritizes profits over quality medical care. I will be looking for a new eye care provider.

This place charges an absurdly high fee. A regular eye exam costs nearly $400, which is definitely not recommended. On top of it, the customer service is very rude

Do not go to Dr. Patel. She is rude, dismissive, showed up over an hour late to my appointment and more. She removed my stye and told me afterwards that everything was normal when clearly my symptoms were not. Eyes are not something to mess with so I went to another clinic and that doctor helped me and said she did the surgery incorrectly. Avoid!!

i went Dr. Lafayette for cataract surgery. I paid $7000 to have my near sited and far sited vision corrected. My vision is now worse than prior to surgery. DO NOT use Wheaton eye clinic.

I took my mom here for a specialist appointment and everyone was amazing! Jess at the front was so kind and patient about my mother’s late arrival given she was traveling 2- hours to see the specialist. (I don’t advise being late for this team either - it takes a long time to get in and we got lucky) The woman who conducted my mom’s tests was incredibly knowledgeable, informative, and a friendly! And the doc graciously allowed me to join the follow up by phone when I had to jet early for another appointment. Kudos to Wheatland Eye Clinic for establishing a positive company culture that shines through its dedicated employees.
