*UPDATE 6/24- After being out of town for a funeral, I called this pharmacy last week & today to tell them that I'd be in today to get my Rxs & to please not restock them. They agreed. 4 hours later, I went in to pick them up, I found out that my order was magically cancelled AGAIN!! So I WASTED $ AGAIN on an Uber (bc I'm disabled and can't drive) only to find out that they have NONE OF MY RX IN STOCK & they can't order it for two more days! I'M LIVID!! & the pharmacist didn't even apologize!
3/2024 This pharmacy gets things wrong constantly!! I'll get messages that meds I didn't order are ready, or that meds I did need and refilled are ready but when I get there they can't find them! Some of my orders get cancelled for no clear reason when my doctor or I didn't cancel them & I only find that out when I get there to pick them up.
I'm disabled and cannot drive. So I have to pay for someone to take me to the pharmacy whenever there's an issue, but I always try to call first. I would give a solid estimate of 90% of the time that I call this particular pharmacy location, I'm generally put on an endless cycle of being put on hold without anyone ever actually speaking to me regardless of the day or time. The phone will ring and ring and ring and ring, and then possibly get picked up by a person who doesn't speak & just puts it back on hold again & that cycle continues over and over. This has honestly happened to me for somewhere between 25-45 minutes almost every time I have to call! Generally, when this happens, I either give up after all that time, or they eventually pick up and stop the putting it back on hold game without speaking & just hang up on me instead. It's so lovely and professional (please note my heavy use of sarcasm there!).
If I'm lucky enough that someone quickly picks up the phone and says "this is Walgreens, can you please hold?" And I can shout out to them to please not put me back in the endless cycle, and they hear me, (that's the random 10% where I actually get a human on the phone) they still will often put me back on hold, and sometimes they don't ever come back.
On top of that, bc they end up filling meds I dont want or need from them, this causes my other pharmacy who packs and delivers all my meds for free to me, without boatloads of wasted money or plastic, to not be able to fill them. So I try to cancel the order in the Walgreens app. But some breakdown happens between me clicking cancel, listing the reason, hitting submit & when the pharmacy actually cancels out. Bc instead of it just getting cancelled in their system and returned to stock, it will sit as an order that's ready on the shelf, but my app lists it as "cancelling" status... That is of course unless I call and can speak to an actual human being at that particular pharmacy location!
It's maddening and a humongous waste of my time and money!! This store's staff is consistently overworked, understaffed, and underpaid, so there's always a huge line of people inside and I'm the drive-thru that have to wait forever to get helped & frustrated workers. This causes people to get upset at the workers. So the staff get yelled at constantly and end up being burnt out and resentful which perpetuates the cycle of unhappy customers and staff!
Someone at Walgreens corporate needs to really look at the situation at this store (and all of them, but especially this one) & read all of these Google reviews bc there's something going on here that's very wrong & it needs to be fixed!! When I moved here a few months ago, this store only had 2.7 stars. It's the closest store to me so I had little choice in using this location. Now, only a few months later it's 1.5 stars! Every Google reviewer isn't lying!!
Please fix this s

Your website says the pharmacy is open until 10, but it closes at 6 on Monday. Not helpful

I am very disappointed with the service at Walgreens. The staff is rude, often assuming what I think or want to say instead of giving me the opportunity to express my opinion. This leads to customer frustration and impatience. Unfortunately, their ignorance and lack of professionalism are the reasons for my dissatisfaction. I hope we will have a better alternative than Walgreens and other major pharmacy chains because their attitude is absolutely unacceptable. They speak to you very rudely

The pharmacy is a JOKE. The staff is so unprofessional, no sense of urgency and rude. The could care less that your sick & need meds. The male tech told me “don't rush me”. Ester or Esther whatever her name is, is absolutely rude! Do not use this pharmacy! Stay FAR AWAY!

I’m racially profiled every single I come to this Walgreens. All of the alerts go off and people walk around and watch me. It’s extremely uncomfortable and maddening especially since I love to shop at Walgreens. I’ve made a decision to drive an additional 8 minutes to go to another one. This Walgreens needs all of their employees trained on racial bias and customer service. Employees are rude.

This Walgreens has failed me so many times it’s not even funny. We moved to Naperville probably two years ago and switched to this Walgreens but every time they say a prescription is ready I go there and suddenly oh it’s not ready it will be ready in a few days! And on top of that I’ve had two prescriptions canceled twice TWICE!? I get that they are busy with a lot but this is unacceptable for a pharmacy.

The store is regularly understaffed and without inventory. I can't think of a prescription that I had in the last year that was filled same day. And, whether you go inside or through the drive-thru, there is always a wait. Some days it appears that they have a single person working both the in-store and drive-thru line.Walgreens used to be a reliable pharmacy. I'm not sure why Blue Cross makes it a "preferred" pharmacy. It certainly does not have anything to do with how well they take care of customers. But, we are stuck.

Keep you on hold for a long period of time... You can't even speak to an actual human being.

Got a message that my medicines were ready to pickup but when I tried picking up the indian lady tricked me to come at 9pm(closing time)and said it was not ready and she has no idea why I got the message. WORST DRIVE-THRU EXPERIENCE!
