The Compass school has been bought out by The Gardner School. If you didn't like the Gardner school you're not going to want to go here. They are going to implement their expensive uniform policy here on 3-6 yr olds, can you imagine! ...and did you know they won't pay a cleaning crew 5 days a week anymore? They require the teachers to kick in mop! Please read the employee reviews at Indeed and Glassdoor to see how mismanaged and badly treated they are. How can miserable employees work well with our children? The Compass School was the best school around for young children's education, now it's just an addition to a business model. Buyer beware, stay away!

We love this school ! The facility is clean, bright and welcoming. Our first teacher miss Lizzy was just amazing , now since we moved to another class we have miss Becca and miss Mandy - both of them are so nice , kind, friendly and carrying. Our kid learns a lot from his teachers. We are so grateful for their care!

This school is great! My wife and I both work full time and we looked at so many schools for our daughter. Compass was the only school we toured were we felt completely comfortable from the moment we walked in. Our daughter has been going there since she was four months old and she loves it! We love knowing that she’s not only getting taken care of but that she is learning new things every day and making friends. We highly recommend!

I cannot Say enough wonderful things about Compass. My two boys have been going here for approximately three years. I understand all kids are different but I have seen them grow intellectually and socially far beyond my third son who attended another daycare/preschool facility. The staff is family. It brings me so much joy to see my boys run up to all staff to give them hugs. I truly Am comforted knowing that my boys are well taken care of when I am Off at work.

My two sons, 3 and 7, attend Compass School and they absolutely love it there. I have a hard time getting them to come home when I pick them up because they don't want to leave! They have such a warm connection to their teachers and the care they receive is such great peace of mind for a working mom like myself. It's obvious that everyone working there cares deeply for our kids and loves what they do.

THIS. SCHOOL. IS. AMAZING.I cannot say enough about how wonderful my family's experience was at this lovely school.I have had 2 children (1 PreK, 1 Infant) enrolled there at different times.Staff turnover is very low.Their facility is clean, bright, engaging and fun.The administrative staff is beyond accommodating and friendly. The Compass School have come to feel like a second family to both of my sons, while in their care. There is a great balance of structure and free-play which was a perfect fit for our older son as he began his school journey. The teaching staff is competent, patient and nurturing - not only to children of all ages, but to new/nervous parents dropping off their little ones for the first time. All of the other parents I have interacted with there seem to share my love of this school and its teachers.I can tell you, with confidence, that choosing this school has had a tremendously positive impact on the lives of my children and our family.I encourage anyone who's curious or indecisive - to schedule a tour, and see for yourself. :)

I felt comfortable at Compass from the moment I walked through the door. My children started at Compass when they were both babies and have gone through all the levels up to the private kindergarten. The teachers, support staff, and directors have all been instrumental in helping my kids development. Compass is a wonderful learning environment that has a robust educational curriculum that starts at an early age. They also have a great summer program for school age kids filled with field trips and activities.

Our son has attended Compass for a year and we cannot say enough good things about the teachers, staff, environment, curriculum, and the school itself. At Compass, our son really thrived and was learning something new every day. He would come home and tell us about all the projects and fun things he and his classmates were working on - he would just light up - and I knew he was having a great time and learning so much. I love that the teachers communicate to parents via a journal and also that each child has a portfolio; it shows growth clearly. We are moving to another state and sadly, we have to leave Compass for that reason. Truly, the saddest part of our move is leaving this school. If you're considering Compass, know that your child will flourish and be in such great hands here.

We have been with Compass family since 2012, my daughter was 2 weeks before turning 3 then and was enrolled in Preschool program and all the way to the private Kindergarten. I visited all the day care around this area before choosing The Compass school, and I couldn’t be happier. The Director, assistant Director and other staff are extremely friendly, and easy to communicate with any issues. My daughter was always happy with all the teachers and her class friends. She learned so much for the past three years now her reading level is above average in elementary school. We loved going through her portfolio at end of school year, and were amazed with everything they did at school. We also enrolled our son to Compass since he was 2 years old. He is in preschool program now. He loves going to school every day. I recommended Compass to some of my friends and they are happy with it too.

My daughter just finished two years of preschool at Compass and I couldn't be happier with my experience! My sons both attended a different preschool and I was looking for a change when it was my daughter's turn. After touring several schools, I had an immediate like and comfort level at Compass. The staff was welcoming, the school was very clean, I liked the curriculum and there were a number of "extracurricular" classes that were options (dance, computers, tumbling, acting, etc). Over the course of two years, my daughter really blossomed, made a lot of friends and looked forward to going to school. I always found the staff nurturing and very flexible as well. We had one complaint early on in her time at Compass but once we talked with management, it was addressed immediately and it was amazing from that point on! I think when choosing a preschool you have to go with your gut, but I would highly recommend Compass!

As a new mom returning back to work, I am so grateful for this wonderful school. As most new moms, finding an adequate daycare for your child is the number one concern. From day one, the teachers have always met myself and our son with wonderful smiles and over the top care. My son always smiles when we drop him off and loves seeing his teacher for the first time in the morning, the same when we pick him up. They send daily emails with pictures that document his day that we always look forward to. If you are struggling with finding a daycare/school fit for your child, I encourage you to checkout Compass, you will be SO glad you did!

Our son has been attending Compass for the last 3 months. We have been thrilled with the care and attention that the teachers give our 6 month old. I was a wreck having to return to work after leave. However, their constant communication and high levels of engagement with our son support our decision to have him there full time. I would highly recommend Compass South to any parent.

We could not be more happy with The Compass School preschool program. We enrolled our son in the 3-4 year old class, and he has learned so much and thrived. We deeply enjoy the daily email updates from his teachers, as well as the weekly class photos on Shutterfly. We feel like we are very plugged into what he is doing in school every day. The teaching staff goes above and beyond, being teacher, caregiver, and disciplinarian when needed. Teachers write in each students journal weekly to give us additional feedback and dialogue between parent and teacher. Our son also enjoys the extra-curricular activities that have been brought in by Compass. He is enrolled in weekly soccer lessons as well as tumbling. This is key for me as a working parent who values the time we have at home, and for soccer and gym to be within the school day instead of rushed after work is amazing. The entire staff is committed to their students' education, and ways to make learning fund and efficient. My son is having fun, learning an amazing amount, socializing, exercising, and being prepared for future schooling better than I could have anticipated.

The Compass School Naperville South had only been opened for nine months when we moved our eldest son, at the age of four years, so that he could attend and eventually be bused to his local elementary school. Starting our son at The Compass School was an important decision for our family because we highly value an education balanced with play. He started in their Preschool program and progressed through Pre-K and ultimately to Private Kindergarten at The Compass School. He was able to flourish and thrive under excellent tutelage from warm, caring and professional educators. He is now eight years old and attends before-and-after school care at The Compass School. They make sure he safely gets to school and back to The Compass School every day. He feels comfortable and appreciated among the friends he has made there. The principal, vice-principal and teachers encourage and support ongoing education by making sure that he completes his homework before any other activities such as games, computer time or outdoor play. We love this Reggio Emilia-inspired education program so much that we now have our 22 month old son attending their Toddler program. We know our youngest will also prosper from the loving attention that his carers will provide. Sending our two boys to The Compass School Naperville South was the best decision we made for them.

We've moved from Dallas to Chicago in August, 2012. When we arrived here our first priority was to find a school for my two girls who were 2 and 7 years old that time. And we are so glad that we found out Compass! From the day one, the girls loved the school, teachers and everything in Compass. It was a very smooth transition for my 2 year old too. In Compass, all the staff and teachers are always there for you! Anytime I have an unusual request for them they always try to accomodate them. Their curriculum is great, it's very interactive and children can always relate that in the practical life. My elder daughter, 9 year old goes to Compass for the after care and during the summar camps. She loves it! The Summer camp is so much fun that she doesn't want to miss any day during the summer !As a parent we really have to very comfortable with the place and the people where our kids spend most of their times during the day. And Compass has really earned that trust from us! We really love this place and recommend everybody for their kids.
