Ultimately, Menards has an edge on Home Depot and even Lowe’s to some extent when it comes to product availability and price for the consistent quality of products. The Fort Hill Dr. Naperville Menards has always been a quality establishment with good employees that are respectful and helpful. No retail establishment will ever be perfect nor can it be, but I still appreciate this Menards for my various home maintenance needs.Just recently located in the parking lot of this Menards (December, 2023) there was a Mexican food truck by the name of The Gorditas Tacos. They have the best Cabeza tacos out of all of Chicagoland that we have tried to date!My fiancé and I have been trying Mexican food throughout Chicagoland for years and out of all of Chicago and the suburbs, this food truck has made the very best Cabeza tacos!I cannot find them on Google, but have requested an addition of this food truck to Google Maps.

I sent my husband to pick up a pineapple skull that I ordered and they handed him a tied up bag. When he got home and I checked it the top part of the pinneapple was broken in 2 places. The bag didn't have the broken pieces which means whoever picked that item literally used broken merchandise to complete the order. This is beyond inconsiderate ?

This stores delivery process is terrible. They say one thing then deliver on wrong dates or can’t place it in the right spots. Pay over $150 for deliver and I still have to do all the work. Will go to Home Depot from now on. Waste of time.

It's 2023, and they have clean yet out of touch bathrooms, the men's bathroom remains clean as usual but somehow they didn't get the memo that air hand dryers spread bacteria and viruses by a order of magnitude over paper towels and if you're going to stick to air dryers could you at least have working ones? There are 2, but 1 doesn't work, and the other has the blow capacity of an old dog's flatulence. Nothing says buy stuff from us to fix your house than a place that has broken stuff of their own.

I love this store! Every time I have visited the store has been well stocked, well lit, the cashiers are pleasant and the prices are reasonable. Yesterday I went to buy vegetables for my garden. They are a good quality and the ones in trouble were discounted to 50 cents and still salvageable. I definitely prefer this store over Home Depot which is still a decent store but their service has deteriorated one time.

They are so much better than Walmart or Jewel for outdoor plants. The Walmart was the worst in my opinion 1/3 of the plants should be in the trash.. Plus Menards loaded the heavy things into my car as I am Handicapped.

Packed on Sundays, great selection of flowers. You can drive your vehicle into the outdoor area to directly load heavy bulk items like bricks or mulch into your vehicle

Great selection in the garden center, but we had to use flash lights to see anything.

Overall, a good choice for products as long as you don't need customer service or installation services. Menards does not have an installation part of the business, so any installers you might see listed are just independent workers. This is different from Home Depot, for example that subcontracts, but the actual contract resides between the customer and Home Depot. The store long ago expanded into seasonal, grocery, and some home goods. This makes the store much larger for walking to find products. Customer service generally is not up to par with Home Depot or Lowe's, but for many DIY items this is not a huge concern. The main reason to shop here is for generally (but not always) lower prices than the other two.

I would avoid buying lumber from this place. Menards has stopped displaying their lumber prices in the store and are now making customers scan a QR code to get the price. This is a poor attempt to get customers to download their app. This is inconvenient for customers and whoever thought of this idea did not have the customers best interest in mind. It is okay to have a scan and buy system, however, the price should be displayed in the store.Update: The response given by Menards is disingenuous. It has been given verbatim to other dissatisfied customers previously. I am asking that prices are displayed in the store without having to scan a QR code. This is a corporate issue and not something that a stores general manager is going to fix. This is a poor choice that Menards has made that inconveniences the customer.

Great hardware store that has quite a different selection than Lowe's and Home Depot. Worth checking out if you need more than the mainstream items those other two stores have in stock.

Wow, an actually clean and well organized store. Don’t find too many of those in the area.
