Last few times at meat counter no one was available to wait on customers. Today waived to one of the butchers as he answered the phone near counter, but then he went in the back to join other two butchers and never came out again. Finally knocked on the swinging doors to get someone’s attention. Why not put a bell on counter to get butcher to come to counter. My neighbors have said the same thing. But here’s there but no one checking if customers are in front.

Clipped the deals and scanned member code, none of the discount price showed up right. Cashier had to ask us EACH items’ price based on our (the customer) memory and manually keyed in the price one by one. Painfully long checkout experience for just a few items. Bagger didn’t care to put the bags into the cart. Horrible shipping and check out experience at this location.

I would give a 4 or 5 if they had boars head deli meat. I go to Plainfield because of that. Kirchmyer or however you spell it just isn't that good. I'll pay the extra couple bucks a pound for a sandwich I'll enjoy.

I often order groceries for pick up at this location and my experience so far has been very positive. The quality of the produce is consistently good plus the entire process of picking up is highly efficient and expedited.
The in-store experience has been very good. What I love about this store is the high quality and availability of fresh seasonal fruits/vegetables. I've tried their fresh baked goods as well and it tasted fine.
The store maintains neat & tidy aisles. I prefer to use the self-checkout, an associate is always there in case of any issues during
the process.
Now that Starbucks is open inside this location, it never fails to impress. #grocery #freshproduce #vegetables #fruits

Fine place to shop if grabbing items from the shelf or freezer. Horrible experience at the fresh meat/seafood counter today though. I walked up to the counter and asked 1 of the 2 employees behind the counter for help. He said he couldn't because his gloves were dirty. Maybe put on a new pair? It takes 2 seconds. So I asked the other employee for help. She said she was busy hanging up signs... yeah. Nobody helped me or cared. So I went to Meijer instead today.

I wanted to share my experience about this Jewel-Osco that I have been shopping at everyday for years. However, I have noticed the customer service is really bad and the workers don't seem to care. For example, I went to buy 3 boxes of pop like I always do and the sign said 7.99 must buy multiples of 3 mix and match. When I went to the self checkout it came up as 9.99 even when I put in my phone number. I asked the lady working the self checkout and she had no idea what I was talking about - even the front end manager had no idea. They both were giving me attitude and did not seem to want to help. I was almost going to say if you are not going to help me I want to speak to the store director. I had to keep going back to the pop aisle for no reason. But when the lady working the self checkout scanned one box 3 times it worked. I said can you just give me the rest so I can pay and leave but she said no, so I ended up having to put back all the pop which was a hassle because that is the pop I wanted.I also feel like when I go into this Jewel and ask for help nobody is around and they don't know what they are doing or even care. Also my Just For You coupon clipping does not work for my store. I contacted the main office and they said they fixed it for me however it still does nothing. I understand Jewel was started when there was no modern technology or anything, but I think the customer service should be better. I think this is very unacceptable and needs to change. If this continues then I will go somewhere else to do my grocery shopping. Also what is the point of the Just For You coupon clipping if it does not work? I hope the management at this location can improve their customer service standards soon.

Love this grocery store. Some things can be pricey. If you pay attention to the sales and stock up on sales items, then it is a pretty good deal. Excellent meat and produce. Get 10% off coupons if you get your shots (flu, shingles, pneumonia, etc there)
