I’ve been a customer of Huntington Bank for many years and I’ve been business banking with them for 5 years. I am a business owner with a credit score of around 800 and a well established, successful business that just moved and set up a new location three times the size of our original location. I recently applied for a business loan and I’ve never experienced such a lack of professionalism like I did with Huntington. I feel others need to know about how Huntington treats its customers. Basically, the main issues I had were that phone calls repeatedly weren’t returned (even by management/Jackie and when given a week or more between calls), I pretty much always had to follow up for updates after not hearing anything past their given deadlines, the process is unorganized, and the process is extremely lengthy (4-5 months). In the end, I was turned down for having too much new debt compared to my income. The whole point of the loan was for funds to support our new much larger location and I told Huntington right from the start that my debt would exceed my income - which was the entire point of needing the loan. They still urged me to apply even though that ended up being the reason for denial. I was personally in the loan banking business for 12 years of my life, as a manager and as an owner, and have never experienced so many examples of unacceptable and unprofessional business practices. I finally had time to write this review because I was on hold with Huntington customer service for an hour and a half today. I highly recommend staying away from this bank, especially this location managed by Jackie. They have never done anything impressive; unfortunately only the opposite has occurred, and repeatedly. If anyone at Huntington would like more details, please let me know. I have them ready to share.

Walked into this location to open Checking account, no one greeted me, After 15 minutes a teller walked up and said it will be 5 minutes or you can visit the location across the street at Jewel, I waited, about 20 minutes both personal bankers finish up there business, walkout, Never looked at me or addressed me, Both walked to the back. At this point I figured they don't want my business. Stop hiring individuals with no customer service experience and can't speak english.. I'll keep my Money where the Americans Work....

I came in two days ago and opened a checking account and the people who work at Huntington Bank helped me in every way they could. They were kind and helpful and amazing. Thank you guys for everything and keep up the good work. ?

What a joke. I needed to cancel a charge that I did not authorize to my debit card. Can't even reach them 24/7 even through the number on the back of the card.

1 off the bank told me i cannot recieve my hard earned money that i worked my a** off for and also everthing jas to be aurthorized to a t for them to let me have my money avoid this place at all costs

I am a caregiver to my mom, and she has been subject to bullying and harrassment by Huntington for the past year since they took over TCF. Early Friday morning, my mom was trying to recover from her cough, and Huntington woke her up with another harassing phone call for money that she never owed. The argument they forced on her worsened her condition.We never had anything to do with Huntington. Huntington and TCF overdrew from our account when they merged. The banks incurred their own overdraft fees and negative balances when they violated our TCF account. Then Huntington closed our account without our permission.Upon my complaint to the CFPB, “Robert Allen” from “Customer Advocacy” replied to us with a check for Huntington’s disputed amount and a letter threatening “continued collection efforts”. I did not understand this reply, yet CFPB closed the complaint.Now “Robert Allen” does not reply to our calls, and Huntington is denying his existence and our exchange with him, as they continue to harass my mom via Collections and threatening phone calls. They have also harmed her Fico score, a record that was otherwise flawless from the start.My mom is almost 90, in weak health, and suffering from osteoarthritis. The bullying from this “bank” for their own errors and fraud is taking a toll on her. We never had anything to do with Huntington. We were never their customers. It’s not a customer service issue. It is bullying and theft of an elderly person from a place that calls itself a bank.

I have one word for this place.. Trash!!I came in today to open a checking account. I was told that I have to wait 45 minutes to see someone. I said that I would wait. After waiting 15 minutes, a so called banker told me that I would have to come back next week, that they were too busy. Too busy?? With 2 customers?? Rediculus!!! I wouldn't give them 5 bucks. Stay away from this place. They are a joke.1 star is too much.

Rude and unhelpful staff. Went in to resolve something before it became an issue. Today it’s an issue. I was sent away and not even entertained with the notion that what is happening to me now, would happen. I was dismissed. Now my account is negative. I can’t reach anyone from customer service. No call back option available until wed. Today is Monday! I have to go back to this branch tomorrow in hopes that the rude and uncaring staff I ran into this weekend will actually help me tomorrow. I don’t have much faith in this bank. My in person experiences have really been poor. I’m emotionally and physically exhausted. Banking should not feel and be this way.

RUN, I was with TCF Bank and that's why I'm with Huntington Bank. I don't think it's been a week and I have a unexplained fee for "Check Image Statement Fee". I called the bank to ask why, I have been on the phone for over 50 minutes without speaking to anyone. When it come to my money I don't like waiting. Because a lot of my bill are automatic withdraw it will take about a month to transfer everything. One more thing I have to do because of bad customer service. I'm going to another bank tomorrow to start a new account.

Great bank with excellent account choices. No atm fees; wonderful branch manager at the Rt 59 and 95th St Naperville location and awesome mortgage & home equity line options. I would highly recommend the bank!

They tricked customers into opening accounts and depositing large checks, but didn’t honor the bonus. DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE!!!

Stopped in yesterday and asked if they could change my $60 (1$ dollar bills) that accumulated over time into larger bills and they did not want to do it because i do not have account with them. To me that does not make sense.

Business Banker Ms. Linda does not know how to open new account. They are extremely novice and have no experience serving customer. You will be better off banking with Bank of America, PNC or BMO Harris banks across the street. Stay away from this bank.
