I took my car for an estimate. Jake was able to fix it with new screws at no charge. We lol when I showed him the $1900 estimate from my dealership. Great shout out to Jake.

For approximately 14 years, I have been coming to this location for all of my automotive bodywork needs. When the previous body shop made the transition into Gerber Collision and Glass, the core team and exceptional, excellent work and service continued.I have trusted my most beloved and valued cars with this body shop out of hundreds to freely choose from.Yesterday, I was running errands for my family and looking to surprise them with a new entry way Christmas tree to replace our longstanding old one that finally broke down.I visited numerous stores and ended up at American Sale. Upon entry into the parking lot, there was a long metal snow marker rod that was bent over into the lane of traffic instead of standing up vertically. No car could see it coming because in your lane of traffic you have to turn into and follow the curve into the parking lot . . . and then, “there to greet me,” was this rod that scratched nearly the entire passenger side of my car!After speaking with the management of American Sales and subsequently a representative from the company who handles these rods and the snowplowing, I put in a claim with my insurance.Hands down, I chose to make an appointment with Gerber Collision and Glass on LaSalle St. in Naperville; and happily they have always been one of the top endorsed body shop for my insurance company which is a great one!I brought my car to Gerber this morning for the appointment, and I was greeted by one of the kindest, most personable, humble, and professional employees I have ever met there. His name is Jake.Jake went and looked at the damage done to my car and assessed it, and then Jake optimistically offered to try to professionally buff out all the scratches! I was so overjoyed at the possibility and offer right on the spot! Where do you get Customer Service like that?Subsequently, after two rounds of buffing the scratches, and then, taking an extra step and polishing the entire side of my car in the areas affected, he restored my car to beautifully look like it did before it was unfortunately damaged by that top-rusted metal snow rod!Gerber did world-class work on my Stinger almost a couple years ago, and now due to our circumstance, completely out of my control that I was the unfortunate recipient of, Jake brought the most joyful happiness to me in doing what he did GRATIS, free of charge!!Yesterday was temporarily saddening situation, and it ended up being a big inconvenience for me and my family . . . and I had a very late night because of it . . . but today the Customer Service, encouragement, friendliness, and joy that Jake brought to me and my family cannot be summed up in words!The district manager was visiting American sale yesterday and what did she do? Pushed the responsibility and the snowplow company! Are you kidding me?Jake, a humble employee of Gerber Collision and Glads, took care of me on a CEO level and put to shame a corporate district manager of a major company!This is probably my highest level review of any person and company since the inception of my reviewing processes.Jake gets over five stars out of five stars and subsequently, Gerber Collision and Glass on LaSalle St In Naperville, IL will continue to have my business; but even so much more, I hope this review will bring in multitudes of customers because they have earned it!That is priceless!You never know when a kind act out of a gracious heart will bring riches of integrity and even monetary riches. Others like that district manager, who shunned responsibility and pushed it off on a snowplow company will lose my business for a lifetime, and I hope others take note.

On hold forever and when someone finally came back to my call they hung up on me. Called again, placed on hold for almost 10 minutes, and was told an "estimator" would call me back, but that was many days ago. I wish I had so much money that I did not need business from anyone. I recommend finding another shop that is willing to help- I did and they were very helpful in responding to my calls and questions.

GERBER COLLISON Called on Friday AM said car was done got at location front desk said it won't be ready until 4:30/5:00 that evening. Wife called and asked if we could pick up on Saturday August 12 2023 the front desk said that would be fine. Got to the location at 8:30 am on August 12 2023 the was nobody there to get car. The hours on Saturday stated 8:00-12:00 it was all locked up. They were about 15 other people waiting to get an estimate or pick-up there vechile some had appointments for Saturday an no one was there. This isn't a way to run a business tell someone to be there and no one is at location

UPDATE: Some bot or idiot is replying to these reviews. Keep in mind, they do nothing. Someone from Gerber Corporate left me a voicemail, and I called him back. Guess what, I left him a voicemail, and did not get a call back. They really don't care, and when they screw up, they screw up so hard it cannot be fixed. I brought my car here because it was broken into, and someone attempted to steal it. I needed the steering column repaired, needed a window replaced. My car is one of the Hyundai/Kia vehicles which are commonly targeted by thieves.While I am understanding that the parts to fix this issue are difficult to acquire, Gerber could not have done a worse job planning, scheduling or communicating.The break in occurred on 11/19/22.On 11/30, I brought the car to Gerber for an inspection. The problem is, they did not inspect the vehicle. They simply looked at it, and validated that it was indeed damaged.At this point, Gerber did not know the extent of the damage, and did not know what the repair would entail. No parts were ordered at this time.The only thing I was told was that they couldn't get to my car until 12/19.So, because of this communication, at this time my wife and I expected that Gerber would be repairing my vehicle on 12/19. I thought maybe it would take 2 or 3 days max. I expected it to be finished that week. The reason I thought that was because I was told "we'll get it started on 12/19"I had no reason to expect that I was entering into a long term repair arrangement.Towards the end of the day on 12/19, I called in. I said: "Hi, I do not want to rush you, I just need to make arrangements. Will my vehicle be fixed today, or will it run into tomorrow"The receptionist replied "Wait ... you brought your car in today, and you want it to be done today?"That is a rude thing to say to a customer.I eventually talked to a manager, who explained that they ordered the parts that day, 12/19, and they have no way of knowing when the parts will arrive, and have no way of knowing when repairs will be complete.My response was that this was unacceptable.This is not what we planned for, and this is not what I was told.The general manager's response was "well if you have a problem, come and get your car, take it elsewhere"This is also a rude thing to say to a customer, and an unproductive comment.On 1/5, I called back and asked for a status update.I was told that the car had been towed to a dealership, because Gerber is not capable of performing the necessary repairs.This is information that they should have known back on 11/30 when they initially inspected the vehicle. Unfortunately they did not perform an inspection at that time, they just checked to make sure the vehicle was actually damaged, as if I might have been lying.The manager told me that it was prohibitively expensive for him to perform inspections like that prior to the repair start date. I do not believe him, that sounds like a poor excuse.on 1/12 I called back for an other update.I was told that all the parts for my car are on backorder from the dealership, and there is no ETA.An estimator asked me if I would like to have them order the window glass from an after market source, install it, and then I could drive my car with a broken steering column (I would have to start it with a pair of plyers, think "hot-wired car")I said yes, this is what I want.The problem is, Gerber could have offered this weeks ago.Why didn't they check on parts availability prior to this?Why was this never an option until 6 weeks into the repair process?I had various follow up calls before the vehicle was eventually fixed and returned to us on 2/7.The funniest was on 2/4, when Gerber just stopped returning my calls. I came into their office, and asked for an update, and explained my woes.I told the estimator I was speaking to that I will call corporate on Monday. Miraculously this threat worked, and on Monday, I received a callback. I was told everything was being fixed that day.Strange how that works.I am underst

Not often an experience with a service business earners a customers interest to share an exceptional experience. Gerber Collision and glass on Lasalle in Naperville processed my vehicle efficiently working with insurance company. Kept me updated regularly on progress and produced results that were amazing. Avalanche looked like new and was completed ahead of schedule. All staff was a pleasure to work with - professional and courteous. I highly recommend this team for vehicle repair. Well Done !!
